-"D-Danny I can e-explain." You muttered under your breath the moment your vision cleared through the veil of tears. By the stance of the man standing before your form you knew he was beyond furious. The twitching of the killer's gloved hand gave you the message that he was using all of his dwindling sanity to not beat you up on the spot.
-"Oh yeah? You better fucking prepare a good speech." The journalist spat back at you. This wasn't his egotistical display; once again the two of you had some personal score to settle and by the looks of it, it wouldn't end well for you.
If you didn't approach this diplomatically.
You took in a deep breath to calm your shattered heart and the broken visions of Danny's memories. Only ragged sobs escaped your throat every few seconds as you opened your mouth to form any coherent sentance.
-"I saw what happened when you were young- why you murdered your father and how you were treated. I witnessed how you felt." You finally came up with an answer as your bloodshot teary eyes looked up to the man in a sympathetic way. The ghostface killer on the other hand saw your compassion as pity. He thought you viewed him to be weak- and his pride would have none of that.
A dry laugh resounded throughout the void area as the man strode over to you in a dangerously quick pace.
Once right beside your frame, the killer leaned down to you and stroked your hair in an overly sweet manner.
-"What a guardian angel you are (Y/n). Snooping around what bullshit I went through and showing me pity. Didn't I fucking tell you how curious cats end up?" Danny whispered nonchalantly, though your guts told you that he was ready to rip you open with his bare hands.
-"Dany it's not what it looks like to you." You muttered fearfully as the murderer's hand suddenly latched onto a fistful of your hair. The scorching pain of your scalp made you yelp in agony as your hands wrapped around the man's fist to try and make him let go.
-"It's exactly what it looks like, doll." The killer seethed as he stood up with you following up to try and stop his hand from ripping your hair clean off.-"You go around and try to see what I went through. For what, for your own satisfaction? To try and stand up to me? To try and humiliate me?" The man announced furiously as you felt his boot collide with your ribs. A shriek left your throat and you staggered onto the ground in agony, as your hands covered the crushing pain of your broken bones tightly.
-"You're gonna try to lecture me about my life now? Beacuse you happened to see what took place that night?" Danny added and once more got closer to your shaking frame. You felt another solid kick to your side as your pained body collapsed onto the ground. You couldn't beg him to stop nor could you try to justify your actions with all the searing pain spreading through you. It felt strange to be beaten up like this. The torment didn't seem to be all too physical. It hurt almost emotionally.
As you felt the madman land atleast several more hits to your nearly unconscious body; you only had the strength to turn your head and look him in the eyes. All you saw were the jade depths of madness and fury.
-"Did you forget who ended your meaningless life? Perhaps I was too soft with you? You're nothing but another corpse in the news." The man snarled, looking into your docile and terrorized eyes with even more agitation than before.
-"What else do you think you possibly fucking are?!" Danny asked as his hands shot up to your neck. Soon enough you felt the lack of oxygen in your lungs as you nailed and squirmed under his iron grasp.
-"S-Some-one... Y-you said you... L-love." You breathed out with the last shreds of energy and watched how the murderer's grip weakened.
-"...Hah...Love..." Danny snarled through gritted teeth but you swore his mood was starting to shift again. The black splotches dancing around your vision made it hard to concentrate, but with a blazing flame of hope and resolve you opened your mouth once more.
-"Y-You... Can ki-ll me... Again... But y-you can't ign...ore the t-truth." You blurted out as the killer's eyes softened for a moment.
The iron grasp that asphyxiated you mere seconds ago was gone.
-"Talk then, smartie. Tell me the shit I don't know." The man murmured casually. His anger seemed to be held back; for now.
You took in atleast several deep breaths and shot your body up to a sitting position, feeling your muscles wail in protest. Your palms rested on your neck in order to soothe the bruises. This was all too familiar.
-"I saw what you felt, Danny. All the rage all sadness and the misery. But I also saw how happy you seemed to be ever since you and I... I mean you... Started stalking me." You started explaining, watching Danny squat down to you, with his palms resting on both sides of his jaws. He looked quite like a curious kid listening to some amazing story.
-"And what does that imply, pretty bird?" The man piped in with his sly demeanour and a cheeky grin resting on his now calm and relaxed features. You raised your head up to the murderer with a gentle smile, trying your best to keep him in this pacified state.
-"That you're not all evil." You finally concluded and Danny let out a soft giggle.
-"Darling I agree to some extent. You do have a... What I'd call a special spot in my heart- but on the other hand I love killing people. Nothing is as fun as watching the terror and paranoia slowly creep into their souls as they try to fight back. All for nothing." The Ghostface killer giggled in glee, his deep jade eyes still fixated on your once again bruised form.
-"Don't you wish it was different than what reality is now?" You asked with hope lacing your voice as Danny cocked his head to the side in amusement.
-"Indulge me~?" He murmured as curiosity seemed to be radiating off of the murderous Cheshire cat like man.
-"Don't you wish we were back in Roseville?" You retorted and the brunette's face went blank for what seemed like ages.
There was no emotion, nothing out of the ordinary that you could work with to try and see what went through his mind.
-"...I suppose reality was more entertaining than doing the entity's biding and murdering the same people over and over again. Hm. Maybe I do miss it." The murderer retorted, placing an index finger on his lip in thought.
-"I think I know how to get out." You whispered and Ghostface let out a soft chuckle.
-"I don't know if I hate it or love it that you always run face first into danger." Danny smirked as his free hand delicately graced your cheek.
-"This is all fun and games but I think it's time to go home- So what's the plan, little bird?" The man asked the last question and you smiled genuinely at him.
Perhaps he was unfixable
Unfit for society
Homicidal
And above all an aggressive and malevolent psychopath
Hell, maybe if you wouldn't meet death's caress, if your plan succeeded he'd come looking for you in the real world. You were sure of that.
But it all sounded better than reliving the horrors of death and suffering endlessly.
As you collected your memories and patience, you soon started to explain your scheme to the serial killer. He only commented once a while and seemed to fully agree with what you had to say.
When you finished your speech the lunatic only stared at you in a loving manner, those owlish almost pools taking in your very grace as you could only turn your sight away in embarrassment.
-"Quit staring." You huffed and Danny laughed softly, bringing his hands up.
-"I'm just surprised your looks go hand in hand with how smart you are." The man commented and leaned into you as you stiffened up in nerves.
-"Won't bite this time, don't worry." He murmured and hid his face in your neck. You heard a soft exhale as the man slowly scooped you into his arms. Your panicked heart needed a few moments to ignore the potential threat, but when it finally did drowsiness washed all over you.
The last thing you remembered was a soft kiss and the melding of the void like realm.
-"This girl just appears and disappears like Rin."
-"Gotta give her points for being so elusive."
-"Wonder how does she dodge the entity like that."
-"No idea."
Soon, they'd know how.
Soon, they'd be free from this realm.
You would make sure about that.
