After several minutes you opened your eyes once more, seeing yourself back at the campsite. You took in a few deep breaths as the memories of the trial came rushing back to you in painful stings covering your body. You swore your calf felt as if a shark latched onto your skin and kept on nibbling the nasty wound. The collarbone cut stung everytime you inhaled or exhaled. But the most prominent scar was that on your arm. Your slightly confused eyes wandered to the neatly carved D and J initials. Didn't take an expert to know what these letters meant. Well, atleast to you- knowing the killer personally.
-"The entity likes to leave us in this state whenever we make it out alive, kid." The elderly man spoke up, puffing a small smoke cloud out of his cigarette.
-"It's almost as if the fucker wants us to suffer at all times, heh." Bill let out a bitter laugh as you noticed that only a few survivors were present. Most of them were too, heavily bruised.
Out of the small party your eyes scouted out Kate, Jake and Meg. All to whom you felt the urge to apologize.
-"I'm so sorry for the mistakes I made. I shouldn't have taken those risks. You all died beacuse of me." You announced sadly as the country singer scooted closer to you and embraced you gently into her arms.
-"Hey now hun, it's alright. This is how it is here, we rarely ever get out alive. Still, I'm very proud you escaped on your first match." The girl spoke up softly as her hand soothingly carresed your filthy and muddied locks of hair. You nodded your head sadly as you accepted the heartbreaking reality of Kate's words. You were left at the killer's mercy and being twisted by the eldritch being itself- there was none to even hope for.
-"I'll show you what we do to kill time." The girl spoke up again as she rose up with you, your eyes shining with curiosity. Maybe there was something fun to do here? The singer led you on into the thick and ominous forest, making sure to keep an eye on you. Though, the woods were endless she wouldn't want you to stroll off too far away and enter the neutral zone where killers usually hung out when they weren't satisfying their endless bloodlust. She saw enough of Ghostface's sadism to know it probably wouldn't end well.
-"Now here, we look for items, anything that could help us with the trial and- offerings. As you see these flower fields, holding atleast a few while the entity is sucking you up into the trial will make the spider creep consume the offering, allowing you to have a better chance of survival. You can also bring it to the monster itself and it will use it for the next trial that you'll be chosen to participate in." Kate explained clearly as the two of you spotted Nea at the very edge of the Sweet William garden. She only waved her hand at your duet, going back to the flower collecting. You had to admit the cold and distant Swedish girl looked quite adorable in the field of vibrant hued flora.
-"So we come here to collect things that will help us survive, yeah?" You asked as your eyes darted all around the place, spotting things like a map in the tall grass, a small broken key stuck into the tree trunk and an array of bandages, dressings and scissors. All of which looked like they were discarded mere moments ago.
-"That's right girly. We also spend time here to give rookies tips on how to make it out alive- we've all been new here at some point." At that point you kind of felt better about yourself. Everyone used to be as bad as you were right now, which helped fight off the anxiety and judgement of other survivors.
-"Now if one thing that the spider weirdo does for us- but unfortunately also the killers is give us our own special abilities. Think of it like your strongest personality traits turned into something you could use to your advantage." The blonde explained further, pointing a finger to Nea who seemed to be swallowed up by the flowers and their serenity. Well, whatever helps her stay sane you assumed.
-"Nea for instance is a proud outsider and rulebreaker. Even when she's not the most social person out here, she sure as hell is efficient with her elusiveness." The singer stated as the Swede only turned her eyes to the country girl and glared daggers at the young woman.
-"...That's Nea for us." You giggled as the dark haired temporal herbalist rolled her eyes in annoyance.

-"Quit the evident backtalking and do something efficient." The blue eyed girl yelled as Kate giggled at her personality. She seemed to be the tough love kind of person for sure.
-"Alright, alright. Let's leave the flower girl in peace and get some offerings then." You spoke up as you and your friend walked over to the bog laurel patch and delicately started to collect flowers.
The time spent among the flora was the first time here- where you felt sort of happy. It was still a dire situation but the stories of your lives before this realm seemed to brighten up the mood so well, even the curious evasive cat known as Nea joined your small chit-chat charade. And who would've known, she had a good sense of humor too.
-"...And about Ghostface. You know anything about him? Seems the sicko arrived here with you." The Swede asked casually as you tensed up at the very mention of his name. Thankfully, you were invincible at this time.
-"Well, he's basically a stalker. When I ran into him, he would've taunt me with his notes, always outside of my eyesight. Sneering at me from somewhere around the corner. And when I finally did notice him... It was far too late." You answered quite sadly, remembering how your naive ways and ignorance got you killed in the first place.
-"Sounds harsh. But he seems to be much like Myers." The dark haired woman retorted as Kate nodded in agreement.
-"Yeah, can't imagine having a hellbent on murder older brother." The singer sighed as your eyes glistened up, trying to add two and two together. Seeing the look on your face, Nea smiled lightly and decided to explain the story between the two siblings.
-"Laurie's her name. The tall, short haired teen with green eyes. She has an older brother that was submitted to a psychiatric ward. He broke out and tried to murder her in cold blood atleast several times. He's also extremely obsessive over his little sister. Kind of like Ghostface with you, from what I heard." You shook your head in bewilderment, trying to comprehend the story that felt a lot like your own.
-"I thought that maybe you should ask Laurie on how to fight an obsessive killer like Michael, (Y/n). She is pretty smart about her ways to escape." The blonde suggested as your smile grew more hopeful.
-"That's a great idea Kate!" You said excitedly as the trio of you returned to the scavenging. What you failed to notice was the hooded figure staring at your form in furious jealousy.

-"How dare do they get to make you forget all about me, doll." The figure growled under his breath as he watched the three girls head their way back to the camp-site with items and flower bouquets in hands.
