"Let's get this over with." Melanie said simply, turning away from the two males as she headed for the back door. The alphess quickly slipped out the back of the house with her head held high as she heard Daniel shifting behind her followed by Dakota. The rustling of plants under her sneakers made her wolf flinch knowing the lack of camouflage they currently held. The beast whined in the back of her skull begging to be released as the alphess remained determined to move forward. The sound of birds chirping filled the air and the water gurgling from the stream leaving them all in silence. With a flick of her wrist, the red haired beauty urged Daniel forward to continue on without her and Dakota. Check how much further it is.. She ordered him silently, the silver shaded wolf gave a brisk nod and shot off into the trees leaving Melanie and her Omega alone.

The dire followed after Melanie and Daniel, observing with his hands stuffed in his pockets as the Epsilon shifted and bolted ahead in order to make sure it was safe and that there were no traps- he had recalled doing this for Max when then man had still been Alpha. His wolf growled softly at the memory, trying to re-correct his human host, which he was successful in doing. Dakota didn't wish to recall such a thing, either. That is when she stopped, and thus he did too. There was silence for a brief moment before his wolf piped up. I have to wonder, he intoned. Why hasn't she changed forms yet? Dakota's brows mentally rose and he took a moment to eye her up and down. She wasn't hurt, wasn't pregnant - or, at least, he didn't think she was.

"Don't look at me like that," she suddenly muttered, as if she could read his thoughts. Dakota drew his eyes away and cleared his throat. Birdsong filled the air, a wasp buzzing lazily by their heads. Taking a step ahead, the pair travelled a bit further into the undergrowth, the tension between the two of them crackling like electricity through the aromatic spring air. Pollen tickled his nose, stirring old memories which he attempted to smother but could not. His head turned and he held back a few branches for her, allowing her to pass in front of him. The words suddenly forced their way out of his mouth despite his wolf's bark of warning.

"C'mon, Alphess," he remarked. Dakota paused, allowing her to turn to him and thoughtfully meeting her pools of deep jade. "You don't always have to play that role, y'know. You're writing your own future. Don't make it..." The Omega trailed off as he watch something stir behind her eyes, as if she were remembering something about him that was hardly bearable. He couldn't help the solemn smirk that crept up onto his lips, unable to control his feet as he stepped tentatively toward her.

Melanie's wolf was grumbling in the background as Melanie's thoughts remained jumbled and confused. It was hard to push back the sense of abandonment he left her with. Yet for some reason another memory was locked in her mind at this moment. The memory where he had kissed her for the first and only time in the master bedroom. It had been a memory of thick passion and excitement. It had been wrong, but so so right. A flush of heat threatened to rise in her cheeks as a snort left Melanie at once.

"Don't restrict yourself, is what I'm sayin'. A little fun ain't gonna hurt ya." The dire hovered there, eyes skating across her face, and then just as quickly as his smile began to melt away and he had moved to brush some hair from her cheek, he drew away and cleared his throat. "I have forgotten myself," his wolf mumbled. "Please forgive me." With that the omega simply turned away, storming off into the undergrowth.

Who did he think he was playing her emotions like that? Her mate? Her lover? Her wolf's nose wrinkled as a growl of frustration left the beast. A sense of longing seemed the urge the pair of females forward, their had reaching out and yanking the Alaskan dire back to them. Stumbling back they could already tell the mistake they had made in doing this. The back of Melanie's boot caught on the tangled roots of a nearby oak only to attempt to knock her back to the ground. Only once again a familiar pair of rough hands pulled her to her feet. Lips parted in surprise as Melanie was left inches from Dakotas face. Her wolf was practically howling within her skull. Kiss him you know you want too! The beast urged onwards trying its damn best to claw its way to the surface, as once again those words hit her ear canals.
