With Bakari's birthday coming in a week and trying to run several businesses from my home, I was swamped with several different tasks at once. There was a possibility that Buddy Valastro of Carlo's Bakery wasn't gonna be able to do my son's cake, so I spent several hours trying to book backup Bakeries. On top of that, Both Jordan's clinics were in need of new equipment and Jatavia informed me that she had to fire three stylists at one of my shops, which means I need to hire new people ASAP.
I still haven't heard from Jordan and it's honestly starting to worry me. KJ hasn't given I'm to any of my cries for information, only hitting me with a sigh It's being handled! The fuck was that supposed to even mean? Hopefully he'll call or something before our kids birthday or I fear the guest of honor won't 't be a happy camper.
Needing a break from my busy schedule, I found myself at a Bar shooting Pool with my ex.
"Dammit!" Jarvis screeched frustratingly as he failed to hit the eight ball once again. I confidently waltz up to the table with my pool que in hand and position it to my liking.
"Eight Ball corner pocket!" I called out.
Jarvis shook his head not believing I was going to make it. He let's out a groan as the white ball successfully knocks the Eight in the hole, crowning me the winner for a third time tonight. I chuckle loudly as I crush his male ego once again.
"Pay up nigga!" I tease him, holding my hand out for the hundred dollar bill we bet on.
"I'm tired of yo ass taking all my money!" He whines jokingly.
"Learn how to play pool lil nigga and you won't lose no money scrub!" I teased him.
"Anyway! Let's eat, these Patron shots got me hungry as a mug." Jarvis said waving of my last comment and patting his empty feeling stomach.
We grub on some pizza and buffalo wings as country music plays in the background. "You know Gee, it feels good for us to be able to just kick it like old times." Jarvis revealed with a grin.
I looked up at him taking in his words. "It does feel good, but just in case you misread the situation, I'm still very married and this— I said pointing between us.— ain't gonna be nothing more than two old friends hanging out." I assured him.
Though my marriage was a little bit rocky as of lately and I did in fact miss and enjoy Jarvis's company. He was not worth compromising my relationship with Jordan for the second time.
Jarvis shook his head. "I know that and I'm extremely happy for you honestly. All I'm asking is for your friendship. I'd rather have you in my life as a friend then nothing at all. If you want me to have a conversation with your husband to let him know my intentions I will. Speaking of...Where is he? You don't bring him up unless you feel I'm getting too close."
I chuckled at the realization that he was right about me bringing up Jordan if I even remotely felt he was flirty with me, which surprisingly he did remain very respectful.
