I'm pretty much on a hold with this for now, I'm pretty much caught up to the TV show, so I'm going to take a break.
I don't plan to or want to quit this story so I think I'll do a book about Lucy's past as a human, Katherine, and meeting the originals. It will kind of be like the books about Stefan.
