And the embers never fade in your city by the lake
The place where you were born
Believe, believe in me, believe
In the resolute urgency of now
And if you believe there's not a chance tonight

Lucy POV
Living on this planet for 166 years has taught me life is spectacular, sit down and enjoy it. Life is this....challenges, opportunities, love, heartbreak, pain. Life has taught me how to love, how to hate, how to forgive. I'm currently praising the universe for being on my side, Oliver, Damon, Stefan, and I all made it back from the dead. If that's not the universe working with me than I must be the luckiest person ever. Death may have boasted a few times, but I would never have died in vain. I would have died with the people I love beside me, the people that care.Oliver was sleeping in the passenger seat, after the couple days he had, he deserved a break. New Orleans think he is dead, Jackson called me hysterical to tell me the witches killed Oliver.
I never told him Ollie was alive, I couldn't put Oliver in anymore danger. Although my heart broke of Jackson and I should tell him the truth I couldn't bring myself to do it. My phone has been quite for along time, I got an occasional text from Damon and Stefan. Apparently Ric isn't a vampire anymore, that a human doctor saved his life across the border. I don't know how that is possible but if word got out vampires would be lined up at the door.
I haven't heard from Nik or Haley in months. Not even Kol or Rebekah. I guess they think I am dead, I feel bad for not calling them, even though I don't like to admit it they are my second family and deserve to know that I am living.
I pulled my phone deciding to call Nik. The phone rang and rang and he didn't answer, I frowned, that is weird. I dialed Kol's number and that rang for what felt like forever, "Who ever the hell this is, it's not funny mate." Kol said on the other line.
I smirked. "It wasn't suppose to be a prank call."
Kol was silent. "Who is this?"
"Kol, I'm gone a few months and you already forget me?" I asked.
"It can't be, you are dead, that werewolf said you were dead." Kol said.
I grinned. "Lucy Salvatore cheats death once again."
Kol began to chuckle. "Nice to here your voice. How did you survive?"
"Well, got sucked into this other world 1994 hell with Bonnie and Damon, we met a witch there and Damon and I escaped." I said.
"Get your ass down to New Orleans so I can make sure you are real." Kol said.
I looked over at Oliver. "No can do Kol." I told him. "I have plans to attend to."
"For how long?" Kol asked.
"As long as it takes." I said. "Possibly years."
"I can't wait years!" Kol exclaimed. "I want my friend now."
I chucked. "I'm sure Nik will keep you company."
"Yeah it's a family reunion down here." He mumbled.
"Rebekah's back?" I asked.
Kol was silent for awhile. "No, my mother, father, Finn, and Nik's dad are all back from the dead." Kol said.
"How?" I asked.
"Don't know darling some witchy stuff, Nik's father said he met you. At the time I didn't believe him because we thought you were dead." Kol said. "We're you here?"
"I.. uhhh. I was down to check in on Oliver." I said. It wasn't a complete lie.
"Oh yes, sorry to hear about your dead werewolf." Kol said.
