(Macy's PROV)
'I kept walking down the road happy to be on my way, the pixies were making me a bit nervous. And because I was not in a hurry to talk to anyone else, I kept my focus on the road head, but every so often let my gaze drift to the trees before forcing them back on the road.'
("Alright whats our plan?" Asked Charlotte. "Sightseeing."Said Level Simply. "That's it? No place in particular." Asked Charlotte. "We've never even been here before." Said Midnight. "I know that, I just wish we had a little bit more of a plan is all." Said Charlotte. "As do the rest of us but we don't have anything to worry about, no price to pay, no identity here-"Star being cut short. And no money either." Pointed out Charlotte hesitantly.)
'I come to an abrupt stop in mid step and slam my palm to my forehead in this realization.'
("Rat's!" Said Midnight. "How could we have forgotten about money?" Asked Level. "Do they even use money?" Asked Star. "Now what are we going to do now? At the very least it's going to look a bit suspicious sleeping on the ground with no money."Said Charlotte)
'I heave a deep sigh in frustration.'
("Should we go back and call it off?" Asked Star. "When have we come so far?"Said Midnight in frustration. "What Choice do we have?"Said Charlotte. "We'll still get to see the town at least, that is what we came here for." Said Sympathy. "We better get moving it can't be to far from here." Said Level)
'Upset at myself for not even asking Zea and Cloe about currency I began to walk again; every so often some one would past by and smile and I would nod in return for the polite gesture, but kept walking, until I reached the top of a small hill and looked out into the valley.
"Wow." I said under my breath as I took in the scenery for the first time since I got back on the road.
'The road was leading into a vast valley filled with the most enormous trees I had ever seen. But some of the trees were in white and pink bloom, while other trees were full with deep green leaves, as if nature couldn't decide between spring or summer. The flowers weren't has plentiful here as they were in the meadow, but you could see the emerald green grass better, and that gave the area a better contrast of colors, but I still couldn't see a town anywhere despite my level of the hill's height, and I didn't see a clearing for a town any time soon either.'
"That's odd. I could have sworn I would have been there by now." I say and under my breath and started walking down the hill and drew closer to the outer trees.
'And then I see it. The town... At least I think it's a town... People were selling goods to travelers passing by there were very many fruit and vegetable stands, some of which I had never seen before. There also stands for animals, currency exchanged tables, and people selling or buying furniture or objects of value. But there were no shops... or buildings... or any four walled structure for that matter... Well besides a few humongous tents.
'Movement caught my eye from above so I look up to better see If I could discover what was the movement. My mouth hung open in complete awe at the multiply vibrant colors streaming across the branches. My first thought was streamers, but then I saw the people were inside. And It occurred to me that those were all hammocks. Some of the people were conversing, some were sleeping. And some of the younger ages were playing with the birds and other animals in the trees, while others were climbing up to higher heights in the trees so they could get a better view of the people coming in.'
'The people lived in the trees.'
'Yet it didn't feel like a ghetto. In fact the only people who seemed to look remotely disturbed by this were the people traveling in, and even then they seemed more used to seeing things this way, that it wasn't a fascination.'
