IM SORRY IT'S SHORT, BUT THESE FIRST FEW CHAPTERS ARE JUST LITTLE GLIMPSES INTO HALLIE'S (PREVIOUSLY OLIVIA) MIND. I PROMISE IT'LL GET BETTER...WAIT IT OUT WITH ME. MUCH MORE TO COME! :)

Cue spot light, the curtains drawn, a bench at center stage. The atmosphere fiercely hypnotic. There were two petite figures in the foreground, a row of dancers in the back. Zoom in our focus now to the two up front, one obviously taller, maybe even a little bit older. The broad muscular shoulders recognisably male, even when, as he was now, crouched on his knees. The other small, young beauty with beautiful auburn hair pinned tightly into a bun precisely at the top of her head, circled her male partner with grace and paused for a moment to face the crowd. The music, as if reading her mind, followed suite. Her partner tip toed over to her as she beckoned ever so slightly with the tips of her fingers. Grasping her hand, he twirled her into his arms. Spinning and twirling, and spinning and twirling. Till she was where she belonged.

Four a.m. It was the time where stars twinkle and all but the crickets were tucked in their beds, their heads in the clouds, dreaming their dreams. Except for Hallie. The stars were unusually bright tonight. Even the fake styrofoam ones glued onto the ceiling were oddly luminescent. Hallie remembered the night she had put them there, so many nights ago. The restless, yet wonderful, memories beamed in her head tonight, so strong, playing out like a movie scene. Thoughts like these had been replaying in her mind, often as of late. More so than normal at least. Her kid sister used to tell her many times that having fau stars at her age was embarrassing, and she agreed, laughing at herself and the childishness of her soul. But now, some time later, the thought of losing them made her stomach churn, made it impossible to sleep.
