Izuku's POV~

The next morning, it was extremely hard to wake up. I was overly comfortable, snuggled up to Sho, well somehow I had gotten on top of him. My guess is that in my sleep, I got to hot on one side and to cold on the other, so I took the happy compromise and laid on top of him where it was equally distributed. Eh, I wasn't complaining, and from the iron like grip he had on my waist, he wasn't either.

I wasn't even going to get up. I was just going to lay there all day, or until Sho kicked me off. I would have to, if both of our phones didn't start going off at the same time. The noise was so loud and sudden, that I jumped a bit and fell of the duel haired boy and the bed. Again.

I groaned in slight pain, slight annoyance. I saw Sho's hand reach over me to the nightstand to grab his phone. He hit a button and then placed it on speaker so we could both hear.

"What the hell happened yesterday?!" Aizawa's cheery voice rang through the dead air in the room, only being met with silence from both of us.

"Well? You two got nothing accomplished and managed to burn down a whole motel!" He yelled through the phone, clearly not happy with our less than adequate work last night.

"In all fairness sir, we didn't accomplish nothing. I did tag a rogue and sent them up." I spoke up from my spot on the ground. I was just to lazy to get up at that moment, so I stayed there.

"Fine, you accomplished something, but it wasn't nearly enough." He said, annoyed, but also sympathetic?

"But we did something." I said, sitting up and giving Sho a meaningful look. He rolled his eyes at my comment, but didn't actually seem irritated.

"So did you call us just to yell or did you have something else to say?" Sho asked, cutting right to the chase. He was grumpy in the mornings apparently.

"You're on your way to Minnesota today. It's an 20 hour drive, so you'll be stopping in Chicago for the night. Drive for twelve hours today, eight tomorrow." He explained, making Shoto and I both groan.

"Can we please, for the love of everything on this Earth, leave tomorrow? We just got our asses handed to us and we really just want to take a break." I asked, knowing that the last thing Sho wanted to do was drive for twenty hours. I didn't want to sit in the passenger seat the whole time either, but his job would definitely be worse.

There was a deep sigh from the other end. "Fine, but you're gone by five a.m. tomorrow morning, okay?" He said firmly.

I nodded vigorously before I realized he couldn't see me.

"Of course. Talk to you soon." Sho said, hanging up and looking at me with amusement in his features.

"Don't even." I said, pulling myself up off of the ground. I knew he wanted to tease me about nodding, but I didn't want to hear it. I wanted more sleep.

I figured, now that Sho was fully conscious and in better spirits, he'd be over the cuddling phase. I was wrong. And I was okay with being wrong.

Before I cold even turn to go to my own bed, Sho had pulled me back to him, so I was in the same position I was when I woke up that morning. I turned a light shade of pink, being able to control it just a little bit better, now that I was starting to get used to this type of contact with him.

"Can we just cuddle all day then?" He asked me in a soft voice.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and nodded in confirmation. I wasn't going to argue with cuddles. Who in their right mind would argue with cuddles from Shoto Todoroki?

After a few minutes of silence between us, I spoke up. "Do you want to talk about it, or be distracted from it?" I asked him, not knowing what type of mood he was in.

"Distraction please."

The rest of the day was spent in our room, cuddling, watching bad life time movies, ordering pizza, and just talking to each other. We stayed away from the heavier topics, for both of us, and just focused on dumb, silly, types of things. It was a pretty good day.

That night, I slept in Shoto's bed again. There wasn't even a point to getting a room with two beds now, I seemed to be Shoto's therapy teddy bear. Again, I'm not complaining, just stating facts.

The next morning was early, but bearable, mainly because we got a pretty good amount of sleep. We were packed and in the car by five, just like Mr. Aizawa said. I, admittedly, fell asleep almost instantly during the drive, but I was only out for an hour or two. The rest of the time, Sho and I just continued to talk about random stuff. It was mainly me just making sure he was stay awake and responsive. I didn't want him to fall asleep behind the wheel.

We actually arrived in Chicago about two hours early, meaning that at some points, Shoto was seriously speeding. Not that either of us were upset about that little fact. Before this mission, I had never realized how tiring sitting in a car for hours on end was.

When we got to our next hotel, we quickly checked in and dragged ourselves up to our new room. We threw our bags down on the bed closest to the door, and then threw ourselves down on the next one. I was pulled towards Sho again and we fell asleep shortly after.

The second day of travel was probably the hardest up until that point. Driving two day in a row was the worst. I didn't get any sleep on that ride, and neither Sho or I talked much. It was a pretty quiet eight hours, with only the soft hum of the radio surrounding us.

It was peaceful.

The peace was over all too soon though.
