Izuku's POV~

Once we reached our destination, a nice looking hotel in one of the twin cities, I wasn't sure which, we were able to just chill out for the rest of the day. Sho seemed kind of distant after our drive. Not cold, like when we first met, it was more like he was lost in thought. I couldn't really blame him. The silence from our drive must have given him more than enough time to think through everything four times over.

Once we were successfully in our room, Shoto laid down on one of the beds, his back against the headboard and his legs stretched out in front of him. I took a seat next to him, sitting crisscross.

"So what are we here for this time?" I asked him. Aizawa didn't say over the phone what these rogue's were doing, so I didn't have a clue. I was hoping he would have sent Shoto a text or something.

"No clue." He said shortly, and then there was more silence.

I wasn't annoyed with his lack of chatter, but I was starting to get awkward and uncomfortable. I knew he just need time to himself and seeing as we were stuck on this mission together, he couldn't really get that. I didn't want to seem inconsiderate, but I wanted to help him.

"Whatcha thinking about?" I asked him quietly. I left the question vague and made it easy for him to lie. If he didn't want to talk about it, he could easily say something dumb like 'cheese' or something.

"I've believed my entire life that my brother was past saving, and now I have a chance to actually help him. I don't want to tag him. I don't know for sure what he'll have to face after, and I'm worried, scared even. What should I do?" He asked, looking up to finally connect our gazes.

He just asked me for impossible advice. There wasn't on good option for him, and I wasn't sure how he would react to hearing either of his choices. Especially the one I'd pick.

"Sho, I can't possibly tell you what to do. This is a terrible situation. I can only tell you what I would do, but I don't think you're gonna like it." I said sheepishly.

He nodded, telling me to continue.

"Tag him. The only way he's ever going to get any sort of help or even try to fix everything he's done, is to own up to it. He'll be sent up to Heaven for a little bit until everything calms down and he can own up to his mistakes, then everything'll be fine and no one has to worry about eternal imprisonment." I told him carefully, worried he'd lash out at the suggestion.

He thoughtfully nodded, not even seeming to be paying attention anymore. He was tired and anxious, I could easily see that. I let out a sigh, moving closer to him and pulling him the rest of the way to me. I laid down and set his head on my chest, running my fingers through his hair, just trying to get him to relax a little bit.

"Don't worry about it now, just try to get some sleep, okay? Please?" I said quietly.

I felt him nod against me, and then he wrapped his arms around y torso. I was really just a teddy bear at this point, and I couldn't be happier about it.

The next morning, Shoto was the one to wake me up. "Wake up little Angel, we have to get going." He said softly, moving some of the hair away from my forehead.

"I didn't know there'd be so many early mornings when I agreed to this." I groaned, sitting up and rubbing my eyes.

"Izu, it's eleven a.m." Sho teasingly.

I widened my eyes and looked at the clock. Sure enough, it was eleven. "Why didn't you wake me up sooner?" I asked him, worried Aizawa would get mad at us.

"We didn't have an objective until about twenty minutes ago, so I didn't see a reason to." He explained. He then pointed to a paper bag on the tv stand. "There's a bagel in there if you're hungry."

I nodded and got up, realizing just how hungry I was. Because of our Halve status, we don't have to eat nearly as much as human so survive, but we still need food and water every once and a while.

"So what'd we have to do?" I asked him in between bites.

"Well it's basically the same situation as New York. Just some rogues screwing around and messing with mortals. The only difference, is that these rogues aren't hiding out in some abandoned motel on the outskirts. They're luring the humans in at a huge mall, making it more complicated for us. We can't let it start on fire or anything dangerous like that, or risk every other human in the place." Sho explained.

I nodded thoughtfully. "Do we have a plan or are we just winging it?" I asked.

Shoto shrugged. "We don't know exactly where or what we're getting into, so a plan would be pretty useless. Winging it is about our only option." He told me.

"Great, and we think this is going to go better than New York, why?" I asked him skeptically.

"We don't."

"Fantastic."

We arrived at the mall and had no idea where to even start. That place was huge!

"If only we had like a sixth sense or something could detect other Halves." Sho said sarcastically. "Oh wait, we do."

"We kind of do." I corrected him. It's like how mortals can pick up on either good or bad vibes from Halves and be drawn to certain ones. We can pick up on the Angel and Demon parts of other Halves, but it's hard to distinguish that from genuinely good and bad humans. They just feel the same, so we can't exactly tell if it's a Halve or not.

"Good enough."
