As it turned out, the slashings and the rituals were pranks for Halloween.
The four girls took the train back home and they went to Sandy's house to eat and drink in her living room.
"That was a scary trip," Cindy remarked, "I'm glad that killing case isn't real," Tootie added. "Sleep tight, girlfriend." Cindy wished Sandy goodnight and she and the other girls left Sandy alone.
"Goodnight Sandy," They all said as they left the squirrel to eat her nuts and her beauty sleep.
The other girls left Sandy's house to return to their respective houses, Sandy felt sheepish for believing in the killing and she added, "I knew the killings were just stories" she laughed and she put on her sleeping mask to sleep.
