2. Meeting Mister Hemmings

I wake up to the sound of John waking me up and it's not nice. "Why, do you wake me up this early I could have slept in!" I groaned and I heard John starting to talk again. "Also goodmorning sir, Calum Hood had called and asked me to tell you call him back." I sigh and blindly search for my phone when I get it I open one eye a little and call Calum. "Good morning Ash!" He says way to happy for this hour. "Yea good morning, why did you call?" I say a little grumpy and Calum chuckles. "Can I come pick you in an hour or so?" He asks and I sit up a little. "Why?" I ask and he starts to ramble a bit but then came to the point "just catch up and talk about you are going to school. So can I?" He says hopefully. I think about it. "Are you really straight?" I hear him laugh again and smile. "Yes Ashton why are you scared to be around me?" He asks still laughing "I dunno I just thought things would be awkward. Just pick me up around 7." I sigh and I hear him say yes softly, before saying bye and he hangs up.

I get dressed and brush my teeth then walk downstairs and pour some cornflakes I look at my phone and it just changes to 7:00am and at the same time the bell rings. "Who is it?" I hear John say and later he asks me, "Calum is here sir can I open the door?" John says, I say a quick yes and I hear the door click open. "I'm in the kitchen!" I say and after a minute Calum walks in with a smile and hugs me from behind a year ago I would scream but now I stayed calm. "I missed you Ash since you know what, you kept ignoring me I don't even know why but now that we are in the same school we can be best friends again!" Calum almost screamed with excitement. I nodded and finished my cereal while Calum just watched me, I asked him if he eat already and he just nodded. We talked a little and then got to the car. "So why are you at my school? Mission? Or did you fell in love and decided to go to the same school. Please tell me it's not Michael." He rambled I sighed his ramble never annoyed me until now. "Mission do you have missions right now?" He shook his head and I nodded "what is your mission about?" He asks and I shrug. The rest of the ride we just catch up and talk about stuff and old missions. "Well thanks for the ride Cal I'll see you around." I say and I jump out the car and walk to the school. When I'm at the school door I feel an arm around my shoulder. "Not until I show you around Ash." He says and walks to the cafeteria with me. We walk to a table were only two people were sitting. "This is JC and this is Luke." Calum says and sits down pulling me with him. "Hi I'm Ashton. Wait Luke as in Luke Hemmings?" I say and the blond haired guy nods. He looks up at me and I see his beautiful blue eyes. "I told you I'm famous Calum." He says and turns to me "how do you know who I am?" I look at him and then think about what Michael said about him. "Uh Michael told me and his friends." I say and then look down avoiding eye contact with the blue eyed boy. "Of course I should've known. Did he used his propaganda about hating me already?" He says already irritated I look at Calum and he sighs. "Michael some how always hated Luke for no reason." He explains and I nod. We calmed Luke down and talked a little more before the bell rang telling us to go to our class.

When it was time I wondered where I should sit. With Michael or with Calum and Luke. Luke was really pretty and cute and has a nice voice. Why do I think about Luke? I fixed my backpack on my shoulder and walked to the table where Michael sat. "Hi Ash!" He said with a smile I waved and sat down. "So how do you know Calum?" He asks and I freeze come on Ashton make up something. "I don't know we just met one day a long time ago." I shrug and he seems to buy it. I look at Calum a few tables away from me and he noticed me. He says something to his friends and then stands up and walks up to me. No just sit back down no? Okay he is coming. I sigh and looks confused but shrugs it of. "You can sit with us if you want Ashy?" Calum says and I see that Michael mocks the nickname. "I'm fine Cal really?" I say and he nods wanting to walk away but then turns around "do you need a ride back home or are you going to walk?" He says and Michael stops me "I can drive Ashton back home." He says but I shake me head and thank Calum "I'll wait outside the school." Michael looks at me with disbelief. "Why the hell would you want to be with him. He is a football jock." He says when Calum is out of sight. "I don't care he is my friend. My best friend he isn't that bad and Luke isn't mean as well. I don't know why you hate him." I say and Michael turns red. "Go away I don't want you to sit here go to your best friend." He says coldly and I look shocked "stop acting crazy Michael." Kimberly says but I tell her its okay. I get up and walk to Calum asking if I can still sit with them. "What happened?" He asks me and all the football players focus on our conversation. "Well when I said you are okay and Luke isn't as bad as he seems. He told me to go away." I say and the other begin to laugh. "Not because we wear varsity jackets we are jerks." A guy with green eyes and dark hair says. I nod and eat a little while talking to all the boys. They were really nice I thought.

The bell went and I had sports. "Hey Ashton wait!" I turn around and I see Luke running up to me. "We have sports together so lets walk together." He says and I nod "thanks for standing up for me. I don't know why Michael hates me so much but. You didn't think I was a jerk because of him." Luke says blushing and I nod not knowing what to say. "Lets hang out after school, with Calum maybe?" He says and I nod again with a smile. "That sounds nice now lets go before we are late." I say opening the door of the boys dressing room.

"Okay guys on the left side girls on the right side." The teacher said and all the students listened. "We'll have 2 girl captains and 2 boy captains and after that we will play a few games of soccer." He said and called 4 people up to the front. Luke was one of the captains and he picked Calum first. I didn't want to be picked last but I knew it would might happen because I was new. "Ashton" I looked up and say Luke calling me to come up to him. "Yes?" I asked and Calum said I was part of their team and I nodded. After all teams were formed we started playing. I knew Calum was verry fit because we still had weekly training at the office. I was fit as well so I quickly took the ball and scored. Everybody cheered and we went back to the game. 'Luke's' team won which I was in and a other team of a person I didn't knew. The teams that lost had to put ran 3 laps but I didn't which I thought was great. I went to the dressing room and changed, waiting for the bell to rang the others came walking into the dressing room. "You're really good Irwin." One guy I didn't know said and I nodded. "Yeaa you should join the football team" Jc said. Maybe it wasn't that bad of an Idea I could get an inside scoop of the school and all the people on this school. "I'll think about it" I said thruthfully and Calums face lit up. "YES! Ash please join the team we could hang out more then. Just like we used to." He said almost screaming and jumping at the same time. "I'll think about it Cal" I said but he kept jumping. "Oh Calum wanna hang out after school with Ashton?" Luke asked and he screamed yes jumping again causing both me and Luke to chuckle.

"I still can't believe you are hanging out with Calum and Luke AKA the guy I hate and his friend. Plus do you really wan't to join the football team?!" Michael said leaning against the locker next to mine. "You know I, know Calum for over a year and Luke seems nice so do the other guys. Who I've met when you sended me away for saying that they are nice. I still don't know why you hate them, why you say that and never even met them and why do you talk to me again?" I said getting annoyed. "I'm saving you from 'them' just hang out with me." He pleaded this time and I closed my locker. "I will hang out with you later okay, maybe we can hang out as one group then you will see Luke is a nice guy." I said wrapping my arm around Michael's shoulder and walking to the door. "I'll text you okay?" I said and he nodded I hugged him and walked to Calums car with two boys already sitting inside of it. "So where are we going?" Luke asked smirking. "PAAAAARRTTYYY!!" Calum said and I looked confused but before I could say anything Calum started the car. Rule number 3 stay sober the whole mission.
