Sereyah's POV

「 I sat in the back office of the tattoo shop
that I work as a manager at, called La Rosa,
which is located in the outskirts of Las Vegas,
Nevada. This shop is where it all started for me.

I started sketching tattoos at the age of
sixteen, then my mentor, Alice (who owns
this shop), took me under her wing and
taught me everything I knew.

I then got my BFA in art, at the University
of Nevada and started working for Alice
at the shop. I also am the owner of
my own tattoo shop located in Downtown
Los Angeles, called Royally Ink'd.

Which means I commute a four hour drive to
Las Vegas, once a month to check in with
the shop and employees, as well as take
appointments when I'm available. 」

As I was in the back, sketching up a tattoo
for a client, my phone began to ping
uncontrollably with hella notifications of
people tagging me on an Instagram post.

Once I was done drawing the design, I decided
to look further at the notifications on my
lockscreen. I unlocked my phone, opening
the Instagram app— seeing over 400 comments
recommending me for a tattoo.

I clicked on one of the comments, which
brought me to the post. It was a black screen
with text on top asking their followers to
tag tattoo artists in the LA area, for their
first tattoo.

I looked at the username, seeing it was
none other than Normani herself. Yes Normani,
as in from the iconic girl group, Fifth Harmony.
Don't get me wrong, I have done tattoos for
artists/celebrities before: such as Kehlani,
Kaash Paige, Jhené Aiko, etc ... but if you
know me, you know I love me some Normani!

I scrolled through the many comments
of people tagging me, seeing a lot of my previous
clientele, and some from my followers
that have only seen my work but not
experienced it yet. I saw my business page,
where I strictly post my work, being tagged.
As well as my personal page being tagged,
where I post pretty much anything I
please.
