Lost and Flashbacks

(This Chapter will consist most of flashbacks of Courtney as a child)

Y/N POV

Hopeless, cold, and shivering is what I felt my voice started to croak when I called Courtney's name but nothing came out, I was so scared I felt taken advantage of my dignity was lost, my innocence was taken away I just wanted Courtney back but instead I was left in what seemed to be a black hole of sadness. All I wanted was happiness in life, and someone to share my life with. I want my family but I also want the love of my life's but all of that got ruined because of a wish gone where I didn't expect to lose my family or even come true at all. I wished for one love and Iv'e found two. I felt a drop on my head many drops in fact, I heard little girl crying in the distance I looked around trying to figure out in what direction it was coming from, I then saw a bright light and started to walk towards it. As walked closer I saw a little girl on the ground in a classroom as adults were running around panicking on the phone, I finally stepped into the classroom and walked over to the little girl she had so much fear in her eyes where she was shaking while holding what was a teddy bear. I looked the girl in the eyes and she became sort of familiar to me, how do I know this girl "Are you okay? do you know where I am?" I spoke but got no reply. Suddenly the door busted open and a man walked in with a stressed look on his face he walked over to the little I was talking to I quickly moved out of the way and hid behind one of the desks I tried to listen to their conversation, "We have to go NOW" the older man said. "What's wrong daddy? what's happening I'm scared the little girl said. "Nothing is wrong princess we just have to go home" He spoke picking up the girl and quickly walked out the door. I quickly followed behind them following them out the school, what I saw outside was horrifying it's something I never seen before the sky so dark, trash flying in the sky, cars were all wrecked, signs flew out from the ground as it was pouring down rain. I saw the man run to his car quickly strapping the little girl in, he opened the drivers seat door as I ran up to him tapping him on the shoulder "Sir do you know where I am? what is happening? can you help me i'm lost?" I plead but got no response. I ran into the passenger seat of the car expecting this man to yell but there was still no response, why the hell does no body hear me or see me am I dead? I was starting to panic. The man was shaking as he tried to start his car, after a few moments the engine started up as he drove off to what I assume is their house. His phone rang through car on bluetooth and answered the phone quickly, the person on the other line spoke "Hello is this Mr. Chipolone" the unknown man said. "Yes it is, who's asking?" He said. My face went numb into complete shock I looked in the back seat holy shit that's Courtney and this is her father how the hell did I get here and why is she a child what the fuck is going on. "This is the Florida police with our deepest apologizes we have regret to inform you that your wife has passed away, her car was found in the ocean a body was not found but we can do all we can to help you and your family I have some belongings of her that was left in the car that we had the chance to save we have it down at the police station you can come pick it up at anytime" The policeman said. "Sir are you there?" the police called out. His eyes went blank and froze as he let go of the wheel the car swerved in the middle of the road, Courtney started to scream and cry in the back seat not knowing what was happening with her dad. His hands slammed in anger on the wheel "Why God why did you have to take her away" he plead looking up. Tears started to fall down my eyes when I realized that I'm re living what she told me about her mom dying, I just wanted to give her a hug I finally feel the pain she went through on this day. Her dad looked back at Courtney "It's okay daddy's fine, we are going to be fine" he said trying to be strong for Courtney. "What's happening I'm scarred, where's mommy I want mommy" she cried. "She's going to be gone for a while but she wanted me to tell you she loves you" He said to her. My heart shattered I can't imagine losing my mom she was so young, this makes me miss my family even more. Courtney's dad said come here as he pulled her into his embrace, he started to rub her head as she started to calm down her eyes started to close. He then sat her where I was siting and put a blanket over her as he started to drive again. Soon we were at the police station, he left Courtney in the car to run in quickly to grab his wife's things. Shortly after he walked out with a box of things in his hands he opened  the back seat door and set it down, as into the drivers side he drove off. The stormed seemed like it was dying down and it was just sprinkling, soon we arrived to their house "We are here princess" he said softly waking Courtney up. They both got out of the car her dad grabbing the box while I followed behind them when I walked inside it was very different from what I saw the first time I went to Courtney's house, there is pictures of her mom but when I went there was none as if she didn't even exist. Courtney's dad went into the living room and set the box down on the table as Courtney followed behind him siting on the couch, I looked to see what he was opening over their shoulders when he opened the box he read a letter that made him tear up I was confused as to what it was but he handed the card to Courtney  to read it. "My dearest Courtney, today is your 12th birthday you're growing into a young fine woman having you was the greatest accomplished I ever had, when I looked at you I see my young self in you. I wanted to give you this sweater my mother gave me when I was 12 it's a special sweater that she knitted herself. You truly have made me proud, I love you to the moon and back - love, mommy." Courtney read out loud as she sniffled. As she opened the gift it was the sweater that Courtney gave to me earlier my eyes filled with tears to know Courtney would give me something so special and close to her heart, I know that she will always be with me when I'm wearing that sweater even though we might not see each other again. That's when my vision started to get blurry again and everything went black.
