It was a beautiful day, as Buffy and Angel stood in the hyperion, fighting over Faith. He thought she could be redeemed, but Buffy didn't. She wanted Faith either locked up or dead. She didn't like that he was technically protecting Faith, the Slayer who had tried to kill Angel and Buffy several times, and had even tried to bring out Angelus once, and had hurt her friends.
In the end, Buffy left LA behind to go back home, hurt that he would rather protect Faith. She didn't understand him.
