Graysons POV:
I was half-awake, grimacing slightly as I felt the other side of the mattress dip as she climbed into bed. "Y/N?" I mumbled, my eyes still closed.
I felt her snuggle into my side, getting into a comfortable position so that she could finally get some rest. She leaned up, pressing a soft kiss on my jaw, whispering, "Sorry, baby. I didn't mean to wake you, go back to sleep. Love you."
Sighing, I breathed in the scent of her hair and pressed a kiss against her temple. "Mhm, love you, too."
Your P.O.V.
I groaned as I heard the notorious drone of my alarm clock. Wishing nothing more than to shut my phone off and burrow deeper into my bed, I rolled over to the edge of the mattress and pushed myself up into a sitting position. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and looked over my shoulder, checking to see if Grayson was still sound asleep.
A small smile made its way onto my face as I laid my eyes onto his still-sleeping figure. Ugh. I was jealous of the fact that he was able to remain in his slumber despite the obnoxious sound that my phone had been blasting seconds prior. He looked absolutely gorgeous in his sleep. His now-brunette hair splayed messily across his forehead. One of his arms was draped across his bare stomach and his other stretched across my pillow– acting as my pillow despite the fact that I had one. His golden tan looked amazing in contrast to the white sheets– making me envious. The sight of him was enough to lessen my stress, even if it was just the slightest bit.
Sighing, I turn away from him and pad my way across the room, making my way towards our shared closet. Thumbing through the hangers, I tried to find something to wear for the day. Finally finding something decent to wear, a triumphant smile made its way onto my face. I gasped as I felt a pair of muscled arms warm around my waist, followed by a chin resting on my shoulder. I turn my head, only to be met with the face of a sleepy Grayson.
I giggled, "Good morning, sleepy boy."
His bottom lip jutted out in a pout, "Why're you up so early again?"
Setting my clothes down, I rest my hands on top of his arms, leaning into his hold on me. "You know why, babe. Morning classes are a pain, but gotta go to them so that I can graduate and go off to law school."
He groaned, "Do you really? Like, that's great and all, but so is staying in bed with me all day."
I turned around, leaning away from him and wrapping my arms loosely around his neck, "Baby, I would love nothing else, but doing that isn't going to finish everything that I've got due by the end of today."
Turning away from him, I bend over, reaching for the two hangers that held my outfit for the day. With him still attached to me, I make my way back to into our bedroom, leading him back towards our bed. I pried his arms from me, urging him back onto the mattress. "C'mon, go back to bed, babe. You haven't been getting a lot of sleep recently."
He rolled his eyes at me, "You haven't gotten a lot of sleep, but you're up."
I rolled my eyes back with equally as much sass as he gave me. "I've got school, you don't. I can't afford to get sleep, but it's not the same for you. Appreciate it and sleep, you idiot." Leaning over, I press a kiss on his cheek, "I'll see you later, love you."
He shot me a sleepy smile, mumbling "Fine, you win. I love you, too," before he burrowed deeper under the duvet and tried to settle into the bed. I smiled lovingly at his figure before making my way into our ensuite bathroom.
I stripped myself of my clothes, and when I say 'my clothes' I mean a random t-shirt of Gray's and my underwear. I sighed when I stepped under the warm water, the heat helping soothe my tense muscles.
His P.O.V.
I grimaced, the heat of the sunlight on my face waking me up. Groaning, I open my eyes, only to be met with an empty bed and a silent room, yet again. Swinging my legs off of the bed, I sit up, plucking my phone off my bedside table and checking the time. 12:36. Jesus Christ. I really slept in. Standing up, I make my way out of the bedroom while I unlock my phone to send Y/N a text.
Hey baby, what time are you getting home?
I set my phone down on the counter, rummaging through the cabinets to try to find something to eat while I waited for her response. Not too long after I left it on the counter, my phone dinged, alerting me of a notification. A grin made its way onto my face when I saw that it was a text from Y/N.
Baby Girl😍😩: Hey handsome! I'm gonna be home at around 3 today. One of my deadlines was pushed back so I can finally be home while the sun is still out and I've finished everything else so I'm finally free to do nothing this weekend!!!!
An idea popped into my head, causing me to quickly type a response as I made my way back into the bedroom.
That's great Y/N! Looking forward to being able to spend the weekend with you without seeing a textbook😂
Walking into the bathroom, I look at my reflection, trying to figure out just how much of a mess I looked. Deciding to take a shower despite looking decent enough to go out in public, I grab the towel from the hook it hung on and set it down by the shower so I can easily grab it when I was done. I hopped into the shower, making it quick because I was limited on time.
After my shower, I quickly throw on a pair of jeans and a gray cropped long sleeve. I made sure to grab a hat before I made my way out of the apartment– too lazy to deal with my hair. Grabbing my keys from the counter, I shut the door behind me and make my way down to the garage of the apartment complex.
Hopping into my Bronco, I shove the keys into the ignition and plug my phone into the AUX cord. Immediately, Bryson Tiller's album played from the speakers, I sang along– well, it was a lot more comparable to screeching, really– while I navigated the way to my wanted destination.
I scanned my surroundings as I pulled into the mall's parking lot, looking for a free space. I sigh in annoyance, it was packed, as usual. After what felt like forever, I was finally able to park. Squinting because of the bright sunlight, I exit my car, pushing my sunglasses up onto my face. I navigate my way through the mall, trying to find the store I wanted to go to.
Third Person P.O.V.
The Sephora employee had her head down, focused on trying to organize yet another display that customers had managed to ruin.
He entered the store, looking absolutely overwhelmed by everything around him. He scanned the store, it was surprisingly empty despite the sheer number of people that were walking around the shopping center. A look of relief washed over his face when his eyes landed on the figure of the employee. He walked towards her, speaking up once he reached her, "Hi, I was wondering if you could possibly help me out?"
She looked up, her eyes widening at the sight of himt, "Oh my god, you're Grayson Dolan."
A blush tinged the boy's cheeks, still not used to being recognized. He shyly rubbed the back of his neck, then dropping it down to give the girl a small wave. "Yeah, hey, it's nice to meet you."
She grinned at him brightly, "You too! So, are you here to grab some stuff for Y/N? How is she doing? She hasn't been in your Snap stories recently."
A large smile formed on Grayson's face, ecstatic about the fact that his fans were so supportive of his relationship. "Yeah! That's actually what brings me here. She's been really busy and stressed out with school, so I thought I would come in here and buy her a few things, wanna spoil her a little bit, ya know?"
The girl cooed, "Aww, that's adorable. Do you have anything specific you're looking for?"
He grimaced, shaking his head. "No, not really, that's where I'm hoping you could help me out..." he trailed off, realizing he didn't know the girl's name.
She chuckled. "Lauren, my name's Lauren," she said, nodding in encouragement. "Alright, well you said she's stressed out, so how about some face masks to help her relax?"
He stepped back, his arm out in front of him, "Okay, Lauren, I'll trust whatever you recommend, so lead the way."
The two of them fell into conversation easily– the conversation centered around Grayson and Y/N's relationship. The boy had a constant smile on his face as he went on and on about his girlfriend. Lauren led him around the store for a good half an hour, showing him product after product that she thought any girl would love to get as a present for a pampering session. Totally clueless about everything that she was showing him, Grayson simply took each product and dropped it into the basket he was given.
It neared 1:30 when Lauren finally finished ringing Grayson up, a large Sephora bag in his left hand while he signed for the purchase.
Smiling up at the girl that helped him, he said, "Thank you so much, Lauren. I'll be sure to give you credit when Y/N asks. Knowing her, she'll probably show up here and give you a giant hug for leading my clueless ass in the right direction."
The employee laughed, "It was a pleasure, I hope she enjoys everything! Have a great day!"
He smiled at her. "You too," he said, waving goodbye before he turned and walked towards the exit.
He walked through the bakery door, a bell going off to signal his entrance.
"Grayson!" the man behind the counter greeted. "How's it going, man?"
Grayson grinned at the older man. "Doin' good, doin' good. How 'bout you, Al?"
Al shrugged, "I'm doing alright. What brings you here by yourself? Where's Y/N?"
"She's been really busy with school, so her stress is at an all time high. I wanted to pick some things up for her, just to spoil her a lil' bit."
He wore an impressed look on his face, his round cheeks filling up as he smiled at Grayson. "You were raised right, Gray. Glad to see someone like you with our Y/N, but remember, if you break that girl's heart..." he threatened, his eyebrow raising as he trailed off.
The boy chuckled, the threat warming his heart rather than scaring him. There was nothing that made him happier than knowing Y/N had family away from home. This bakery was her home away from home when she first moved to California. Al and his family took Y/N, offering her a job and later on, a family. This bakery was actually the reason he even met the girl of his dreams.
He walked in one day after a friend had recommended their red velvet cupcakes and was almost quite literally swept off his feet by a gorgeous girl. In that moment, two years ago, the situation seemed to be nothing more than an inconvenience, but he soon realized that it was actually the one of the greatest blessings he'd be given in his lifetime.
He shook his head, "Al, you know I could never. There'd be no one else angerier at me than myself if I were to hurt her in any way."
Al gave him an approving smile, "Already knew that, but it's nice to hear it from you. Anyway, what can I get for you?"
"Her favorites, please."
The man nodded, turning around to grab a box from the shelf and began filling it up with Y/N's favorite treats. Grayson's mouth watered at the sight of all the baked goods in the display. He'd be lying if he were to say that he was only getting these deserts for Y/N. It was a given that he'd be making a decent sized dent in the contents of the box later on.
With the box filled to the brim with Y/N's favorite goodies, Al began finished packaging it, tying a ribbon around it and securing it in place with a sticker that displayed the bakery's logo. Grayson's hand reached into his back pocket, going to grab his wallet, but Al shook his head at younger boy.
"Hey, don't worry about it, Gray. It's on the house."
"But-"
Al chuckled, shoving the bag in Grayson's direction, "Man, just take it. Don't get it twisted, it's for Y/N, not you."
A laugh escaped Grayson's lips. "Fine," he said, rolling his eyes playfully. "Thanks, Al. I'll make sure that we both drop by sometime soon."
He smiled, nodding and holding his hand out, waiting for Grayson to shake it. With a grateful smile on his face, Grayson took the man's hand, shaking it.
"See you soon, Gray. Take good care of our girl."
Grayson smiled, "Always. See ya, Al."
His P.O.V.
With the Sephora bag and the bag of desserts in one hand and a bouquet of her favorite flowers in the other, I shut the door of my car with my foot and jog towards the elevator of our apartment building. Knowing that I was cutting it close on time, I tried to rush up to the apartment, my finger repeatedly jamming against the elevator button even though I knew it didn't do anything. After what felt like forever, the metal doors of the elevator finally opened, causing me to sigh in relief.
I grunted as I struggled to open the front door of my apartment with everything in my hands. Thankfully, I managed to get it open and proceeded to make my way inside, shutting the door behind me, not bothering to lock it because I knew that Y/N would be home pretty soon.
Making my way over to the kitchen, I placed everything I bought on top of the kitchen island. I walk around the counter, starting to look for the cake stand that I knew Y/N liked to put desserts on top of. I tweaked around with the different desserts that Al gave me, trying to make it look as aesthetically pleasing as it would have looked if Y/N were to have done it.
Stepping back, I took a second to appreciate my handiwork. On top of the countertop, I had the cake stand with all the different baked goods, the Sephora bag, and the bouquet of flowers that I got her. I managed to find some confetti that we had in a cabinet filled with decorations, sprinkling it all over the counter and leaving a trail of it from the kitchen to our bedroom.
When I got to our bedroom, I padded across the room, making my way towards the ensuite bathroom. Walking towards the sink, I squat down to open the cabinet, looking to find Y/N's stash of Lush bath bombs. Once I picked out one of her favorites, I placed it by the sink and walk over to the bathtub, plugging the drain and starting to run the water.
I turn when I hear the sound of the front door opening. A smile on my face as I listened for the sound of Y/N making her way further into the apartment.
She called out, "Baby, I'm home! What is all this?"
Drying my hand off on a hand towel, I exit the bathroom and make my way back out to the kitchen. I grinned at the sight of her digging through the Sephora bag.
"Like what you've found?"
She looked up at the sound of my voice, a giant grin on her face. "Babe, what's this for?"
I shrugged, "I know you've been stressed out recently, so I thought I'd grab some stuff for you– spoil you a little."
A pout formed on Y/N's face, her eyes shining. She dropped the bag and walked over me, wrapping her arms around my torso and snuggling her face against my chest. With her voice a little muffled because her face was pressed up against me, she said, "You're gonna make me cry, you're too sweet."
I chuckled, rubbing her back, "Baby, don't cry. It's the least I could do since it's been so hectic for you recently. This is the first weekend you've had free in forever, I wanted to pamper you and help you relax in any way that I could."
She pulled away, looking up at me with her arms still linked around me, "You're too good to me, Grayson Dolan."
I shook my head, pressing a kiss on her forehead "Definitely not, but I do try to be the boyfriend that you deserve." Reaching behind me, I unwrap her arms around me and grip one of her hands in mine, gesturing to the direction of our bedroom with my head. She tilted her head to the side in question, but instead of answering, I walk towards the room, tugging her behind me.
I lead her to the bathroom, turning to her once we enter the room. "So, I propose putting on face masks- Oh! The face masks," I smacked my hand against my forehead, realizing that I left the Sephora bag in the kitchen. I put my index finger up, telling her to give me a second and I jog out to the kitchen, grabbing the bag and making my way back to the bathroom. Laughing, I said, "Okay, anyway, as I was saying, I propose face masks while we relax in the tub."
She laughs at me, but nods in agreement. "Did you grab a bath bomb?"
I nod, walking over to the sink and grabbing the bath bomb that I chose earlier. Turning around, I see her brushing her hair out of face after pulling her sweater over her head. Looking up, she sees the bath bomb that was in my hand and gave me a look of approval.
"Wanna drop it in, or can I?"
Her face immediately brightens up in excitement, "I wanna take a Snap of it because it's so satisfying, so you drop it in."
I shake my head at her, laughing slightly, but doing ask she asked. Sitting at the edge of the tub, I look up at her. "You ready?" I asked.
Pulling her phone out of her pocket and unlocking it, she nods. I shut the faucet off first, then drop the bath bomb into the water.
I look up at the sound of my girlfriend cooing at the sight, "Oooo, it's so pretty."
Grinning at her cheesily, I said, "Not as pretty as you, though."
Scoffing, she rolls her eyes at me as she went to place her phone on the bathroom counter. "Hurry up and get undressed! I wanna get into the bath."
"You gotta pick a face mask first, you silly banana."
She laughed at me, a questioning look on her face, "Uhm, 'silly banana'?"
I nod my head at her, but she chose to ignore me, going into the Sephora bag to choose her face mask. Once she finished rummaging through the bag, she turned to me with a triumphant look on her face as she held up two face masks.
With our clothes off and our face masks on, we finally climb into the tub. I got in first, leaving a space in between my legs so that she could climb in and have a place to sit. Holding her hand, I help her keep her balance as she climbs in. Sighing, she leans back against my chest, grasping my hands in hers.
A soft smile forms on my lips as she brings my hand up against her lips, pressing a kiss against my knuckles. "Thank you so much for this, Gray. The weekend has barely started and I already feel more relaxed."
"Well, I'm glad," I said, resting my chin on her shoulder and softly pressing my lips against the skin of her neck. "That was the goal."
We both sighed, falling into a serene silence, happy to have the opportunity to enjoying other's presence without any distractions.
