Skull x Headphones (Splatoon Manga)

Part 11: Search

Headphones looked around from her hiding spot.

Inkopolis Square was in chaos.

Inklings were running around, screaming, as 3 of the S4  continued to make the bodies drop. 

Skull.

Skate Helmet.

Bobble Hat.

And for once, she wasn't smiling.

Pearl and Marina inside the studio ran off to get their brella and dualies.

As soon as around 20 inklings had fallen, Mask muttered, "Initiating return sequence."

The three inklings began to haul the others into a nearby bag, then hit them hard, so that the squid reflex made them shift into squid form.

And with that, they super-jumped. 

The surviving inklings looked around briefly, before running for their apartments.

Headphones was under the Crust Bucket, Goggles was in a trash can, and Specs, well, he could run very fast when he wanted to.

Goggles got out of the trash can and said, "They ruined my pickled plums!"

He then went to his apartment to get more.

Headphones got out from under the truck, and carefully walked toward Skull's apartment.

"You're alive."

Headphones jumped.

Behind her stood Forge, B-Sailor, and W-Sailor.

"Wha- How are you all alive?" Headphones said, shocked. She was amazed that there was a whole team that survived.

Well, almost a whole team.

"We know how to defend ourselves, unlike the party animals, anti-socials, and sugar addicts." Forge responded hotly. "In section 34, article 8, of Manual 2, it states: When attacked and outnumbered, aim-"

"Forge, now's not the time."

"Apologies."

W-Sailor looked at Headphones.

"Well, what do we do now?"

It was the question that had been circling in her head ever since Army took down Skull.

What were they going to do now?

The answer came faster than expected.

"YO!"

"And here we go." Muttered Forge.

"You guys having a tough time?" Yelled Snorkel, followed by Octoglasses.

"One, Snorkel, not all of us are masculine. And two, we lost our captain. Do you think we would not be having a tough time? In section 7, article 15, of Manual 5, it states: If the captain of a team fails to appear, one must find or-"

"Hey! We should do that! Find Aloha!" Octoglasses said excitedly.

Forge turned and hit her head against the wall.

"One, you don't even know where they went, party animals. And two, have you experienced this weird ink phenomenon before? He might not even be loyal to you anymore." B-Sailor retorted for Forge, who was clearly done with dealing with Team Pink.

"Yeah, and where's Straw?" W- Sailor inquired.

"Oh, yeah. She went to the bathroom a little bit ago."

"And how long? She could have been taken. You don't-"

"Guys, just stop arguing." Headphones interrupted. She was tired of listening to teams bicker, whether it be her team and Team Inkfall, or Team Orange and Team Pink.
