Foundation Week. Everyone was so excited especially us, the freshmen. Daytime's sportsfest, nighttime's for major events, Mr. and Ms. University, Battle of the Bands and on the last night, the Acquaintance Party.
"Are you going to attend the Acquaintance?"
Deanna asked.
"I want to. Let's go Therese."
"Hmm OKay, fine."
She answered with hesitation.
"Don't tell me may aaralin ka pa ah."
Deanna teased.
"Di naman, oo na nga pupunta na."
At least she confirmed.
"Kayo, Papa Van?"
Deanna again.
"I'll ask Jolo and Thirdy."
He casually answered.
"Kailangan talaga one for all, all for one yung 3 Stooges eh."
Still Deanna.

Acquaintance Night. I was wearing white halter top paired with white (not so) mini skirt.
"Talaga naman si Bea."
"Sayang naman kasi the chance to wear this na di ako sinisita ni Kuya Guard. Ui andyan sina Van oh."
"Hey, 3 Stooges buti pumunta kayo."
Obviously, it's Deanna.
We exchanged high fives then upo na.
We saw Denice busy mingling with different people.
"MaPR talaga siya, hayaan muna natin. C'mon let's dance na lang!"
"I'm not really into dancing pero sige, bahala na."
Therese said.
"Yun. Let's go Papa Van."
Deanna.
The four of us already went to the dance floor.
"Where's Papa Jolo and Papa Thirdy?"
Deanna asked.
"Don lang daw muna sila eh."
Van answered.
"Hai naku, those 2 talaga."
She answered in dismay.
It was a night of party, majority's dancing to the different beats until the Disc Jockey changed the music to a slow dance so some were already going back to their seats.
"C'mon Bea, let's dance."
Van casually asked me.
"Sure, no prob."
We were dancing comfortably, his hands on my waist, mine on his shoulders.
"After this, I'm thinking of asking Therese."
"You like her no?"
"Oo?"
"Go, yayain mo."
The song ended and hinatid na ko ni Van sa pwesto namin then he already asked Therese, pumayag naman.
"Papa Thirdy, isayaw mo naman ako."
Deanna teasing him.
"Later."
He smiled but by the looks of it, he was just joking.
In the middle of our katuwaan, I was not expecting to hear this from Jolo.
"Can we dance?"
"OKay."
Unlike with Van, there's an uncomfortable silence between Jolo and I. But I acted as normal as I could so he wouldn't feel awkward.
Van and Therese glanced at us.
"After this, can we go for another song?"
Nahihiyang tanong ni Jolo.
"OKay lang naman."
"Hmm I like you."
"Oh, I don't know what to say."
"Can I court you?"
"Wait, I'm not really comfortable with the ligaw thing eh."
"Don't worry, di naman kita minamadali. Let me just court you."
I just smiled and good thing the song already ended so we can sit na.
I did not want to ruin the party vibe so I was acting as if nothing happened on the dance floor while we're having kwentuhan here.
"Miss, may I dance with you?"
An unfamiliar guy asked me, since this is an 'acquaintance' thingy so...
"Excuse lang guys, we'll just dance."
My friends gave me a mapang-asar look.
1 song lang then he already brought me back to our group and said thanks.
"So how was it?"
They were teasing me.
"Normal."
"Miss, pwedeng makipagsayaw?"
A guy from College of Information and Technology asked me.
"Guys, excuse."
While we were dancing, Van and rest of the group's just waiting for us to finish because they wanted to go out of the venue.
Just right after matapos ng kanta, another guy asked me again.
"Sorry, we're about to go eh."
"Sayang naman, pero OKay lang."
"Grabe, you turned him down. Masakit kaya yun for a guy."
Van told me.
"E you're leaving na kaya."
"Pwede naman kami maghintay."
"Hayaan mo na, OKay lang yun."
"Grabe si Bea, mabenta no."
