Finally! Van, Kat, Maddie, Jia, Denice, Thirdy and I are graduating. Today marks the #MissionAccomplished and #OnAMission at the same time, the end of being a student and the start of adulting.
Looking for the others? Well, Therese also got pregnant in 2008 and got married the same year. As for the rest of the group, life happened you know.
By the way, Jia is expecting a baby with her long time boyfriend. Good thing she was still able to make it to the graduation.
And yes, Thirdy and Denice are still together and so are we. Isaac and I are steady. We went through difficult times though, we broke up twice but it did not take long because love prevailed.
As months passed by, we all became busy. Some are still looking for jobs and some are already starting.
I wanna achieve a lot... To have a booming career, to take masters, to do lots of travel. In short, I really wanna live my life.
Here I am, now in a corporate world. I told myself, "Let's do this!". And I decided to take a break from Social Media, didn't deactivate but I rarely log in. So basically, I am not that updated with my friends' lives anymore.
Isaac and I see each other only (maximum of) three times a week. We are both working. And whenever we are together, that is just the time I can hear some news about the group.
Found out that Kat got pregnant too and they are already preparing for the wedding.
Woke up at quarter past eleven in the morning, no office for today. Isaac will be coming over at one in the afternoon so I already went to the bathroom as soon as I got up. After taking a bath, we had our family lunch then I started fixing myself. Five minutes before 1 PM and here I am having siesta at the living room while waiting for him. Opened my eyes, time check 1:03 and there... He is already here.
We watched a movie on Netflix then he remembered something.
"Nagcheck ka na ng SocMed?"
"Di pa rin."
"May post si Denice, pregnant din."
After hearing that news I got nervous, really nervous!
By the way Isaac left early because he had to pick-up his sister by 6:00.
For some reason, I cannot get off my mind Denice's pregnancy. No, not what you think. It has been four years, so not that one. It is just that, do you see the pattern? Jamie, Therese, Jia, Kat, Denice.

I have been on my job for less than a year, eyes on the prize (goals) still. My friends are working too. By the way, Jamie and Therese have boys while Jia has a baby girl. Kat and Denice's ultrasound results are baby boy and baby girl respectively.
"Nagkaron ka na?"
"Not yet."
"This isn't the first time you're delayed, right?"
"Yeah. This is the longest one though."
"May mga nararamdaman ka ba?"
"None aside from being paranoid. What if I'm the next one?"
"Gusto mo na icheck?"
"One more week, then 'pag wala pa rin magtest na ko."
Gusto ko ng tawagin lahat ng mga Santo para lang magkaroon na ko, nag-exercise na rin ako ng todo baka sakaling lumabas na. Bawat araw na lumilipas, lalo akong kinakabahan.
Hanggang sa nakaisang linggo na nga. Sakto, may kanya-kanyang lakad ang mga tao sa bahay.
Isaac handed me a paper bag with two PTs in it as soon as he arrived. I took a deep breath then immediately went to the comfort room. I was waiting for the results when I heard a sound. Thought Isaac was still at the couch watching but I guess he's waiting just outside the CR.
"You wanna know na?"
"Alam ko na."
"Both have same results."
"Positive, right?"
"Wait, I'll go out na."
Then I showed him, two lines. Confirmed, I'm pregnant. That's the reason why I really felt different after finding out Denice's pregnancy.
Isaac hugged me and assured me that we will be facing this together. I told him that I can't tell it to my parents yet, I still need to gather that courage because I'm so sure they will be disappointed. I'm still young and just starting to build my future.
Dad and Kuya Loel went to Marikina, they'll be staying there for two days.
It's been a week and I can't prolong this.
Went to my parents' room, Mom's eyes are already closed.
"Mom."
"Hmm."
She didn't move.
"I have something to tell you."
"What is it?"
Still not moving.
"I'm pregnant."
"What?"
Mas lalong ayaw niya na kong harapin.
"Are you sure about it?"
She continued.
"NagPT na ko."
"Bea naman."
Then she started crying, still not facing me.
I knew this would be her reaction 'cause she or should I say they, are not expecting this from me.
