The little girl waited patiently by the door , waiting for her mother to come back with a present for the little girl's birthday. She sat there waiting ,even when the sun went down ,even when her father instructed her to go to bed, she still sat there waiting. The hallway was dark the only light came from the moon; but the little girl didn't mind the dark in-fact, she liked it. The house was quiet the only sound to be heard was the cars rolling down the street and pulling into their garages as they came home. After hours of waiting the girl was dozing off until she heard the house phone ring. The girl stood up from her seat on the floor and went to pick up the landline.
"Hello this is xxxxx hospital is this the Togata residence?" a woman's voice rang through the phone
"Hello?" was all the little girl said as she didn't recognize the voice
"Hello dear~" the woman's voice said in a kind tone as she didn't want to give the news to a child, "Can you get your dad on the phone for me?"
"Okay!" She said as she was determined to complete the task set out for her
"Don't hang up the phone just place it on the table ,okay." The woman said
"Okay...", The little girl said as she did what the woman said, "I will go get my Papa!" She then said with a big smile on her face that soon would be replaced with a frown in the future.
The little girl went to her parents room and found him still awake sitting at his desk doing work.
"Papa..." The girl said as she poked her head into the room
"Yes ,my star." Her father said using her nickname her brother gave her
"There is a lady on the phone who asked me to get you." She said as she went to her father to grab his hand and bring him downstairs
The two went downstairs and her father picked up the phone.
"This is Togata residents." Her father said
"Good evening sir, it's the xxxxx hospital calling." The lady said
The man's body stiffened at hearing the fact it was the hospital.
"I'm sorry to tell you this over the phone but your wife is here-" the lady said
"Is she okay." The man said frantically
"She is in critical condition-" the lady said but was again cut off by the male
"I'm on my way." He then hung up the phone and turned to his daughter who was standing next to her father
"Dear could you go wake up your brother and tell him to change." He said as he bent down to his daughters height
"Yes, Papa!" She said with a bright smile.
The four year old went up stairs to her brothers room and proceeded to shake him awake.
"What? Why are you waking me up sis?" The boy, who was five at the time, said
"Papa said to get dressed, I think we are going to the hospital." The little girl said
"Okay," The boy said as he sat up and stretched a little, "I will get dressed ,and meet me outside my door. Okay?"
"Okay!" The little girl said with a smile before she got off her brothers bed ,and left his room
The boy got dressed into a blue shirt with some brown shorts that reached just below his knees. When the little boy left his room, his sister was sitting on the floor with a toy she got last year on her birthday. It was an All Might plush, his bright smile that sewn on the plush's face was looking at the little girl that returned the smile to the plush. She was wearing a blue shirt with her overalls that still had some dirt from the afternoon of them playing at the park.
"Let's go!" She said as she noticed her brother. She got up from the floor and grabbed his hand and led him down stairs to their father.
The three of them rushed into the car and went to the hospital. The hospital wasn't close to the Togata house ,which then led to the little girl falling asleep. When she fell asleep her brother finally asked the question that has been on his mind when he was told that they were going to the hospital.
"What is going on?"
