At least that's what Virgil thought when this all started. Now it's 2019. It's been 5 years since he joined them all. 5 years and Virgil wasn't hating it all... but he wasn't happy either. Too many things reminded him of them. Too many quirks... too many things. Virgil could almost forget about the 2000+ years he's lived and call it all a dream just being there with them all again.

Emile was trying to get him to open up. Even he was reminding Virgil of someone. Em, his enthusiastic and caring friend. It was tiring. Of course... Roman had the worst of it all. Virgil was a straight-up asshole to the man. When he wasn't being so hard on the princely man, he was ignoring him or avoiding him. He spent most of his time in his room or gym. Even Thomas was having some trouble handling Virgil's antisocial personality. And it's showing...

Virgil wasn't blind to the dirty looks he got. He wasn't ignorant to the whispers or the name-calling. Virgil knew he was the least liked 'side' of the group. He didn't really care. He wasn't here to make friends.

"Guys!" Virgil was just sitting there on the couch listening to his music as Roman burst into the room. "GUYS!" Patton was watching frozen at the time and as much as Roman loved Disney he had something far more important to share. "Guuuuys!"

"Yes, Roman?" Logan called out over his book glancing over at the fanciful man before shooting a glance at Virgil. Virgil was practically curled up on the one couch facing away from Roman, who clearly didn't know he was there, in a ball with his eyes closed. It looked as if Virgil was asleep with his headphones on and as much as Patton tried to take them off so his kiddo would be more comfortable, Logan would always stop him. Now that Roman was here, Logan wondered if he should warn them both about their presence considering neither party really likes the other.

"HAVE ANY OF YOU HEARD ABOUT THE TIMELESS PRINCE!" Roman squealed so loud not even Virgil's music could drown it out. The sound of a tired groan caught the man's attention making him look over the couch to find the sleepy-looking man all balled up. It was rare that Roman ever got to see Virgil so... relaxed. Usually, all he saw a tightly wound up ball of angst and sass.

"The timeless what now?" Roman laughed softly as he moved over to sit on the couch Virgil was balled upon. He pushed himself as far from the man as he could so that Virgil wasn't touching him while he looked over to see Patton giving him this confused look.

"The Timeless Prince. It's a legend I've been obsessed with lately. Basically, this prince of night fell in love with a prince of day and shit happens. So... According to the legend the Prince of the night was this evil sorcerer that caused the destruction of not only his own kingdom but the kingdom his soulmate was from too." Roman was a giddy mess as he was recounting the legend to his friends unaware of the person listening in. "I read that he even killed his own soulmate... He was this really evil guy who got cursed to live forever with the weight of sins. They say he's still alive today."

"That's impossible..."

"Well, not really Logan. What if immortality was his power? This evil man could be alive still... OH MY GOSH! I am freaking out. There are all these theories and what not about him. It's crazy. I've been reading them all night. There's even this theory the Timeless Prince was in new york at one point. People are saying they must have spotted him. One even had a picture..." The couch shifted and Roman glanced over to see Virgil holding his headphones tightly to ears as he curled up even more. "Someone even swore they actually met him."

"How would they know, Kiddo?" Roman laughed as he pulled out his phone turning it around to show a picture of black and purple roses.

"They said that they would find a rose whenever they were near. As if he made it grow just by being there. It fits with the legend. 'Magic that made the roses bloom black and purple with every step he took.' See... It has to be him."
