Patton and Remus shared a single look before they both took off to where they had felt Roman. They didn't exactly know what had triggered it but they knew Roman remembered. And given what they remembered they were certain their Prince would need someone. Remus was just happy he had his brother back. He was concerned as he didn't know how Roman and the others had died since he and Janus were in Lux and had died before them but... He knew it had to have been bad if what Patton had said was true. It seemed that with every death Eva got sicker and sicker.

Em and Remy she had killed while a battle had been raging around them. None of them even knew it was Eva's fault.
Then it was Janus and Remus who she killed so violently in their own home
Then Patton and Logan who she killed right in front of Virgil
And finally Roman, who even though no one BUT the lighter prince knew how he died, was killed by Virgil's hands after being controlled to do it by Eva.
Like I said... she just got sicker.

"Remus wait." Patton pulled Remus back the moment they spotted Roman standing there sobbing. Patton's eyes were so light as just watched his friend. Remus frowned as he tried to get Patton to let him go. "Look who he's holding."

"Holding..." Remus's eyes went wide as he finally noticed Virgil was in Roman's arms. The two were locked in a sort of embrace, a soft smile on Virgil's face as he held Roman close. "Virgil triggered it?"

"Seems like it." Patton watched as Roman was practically latched on to the other. Virgil held Roman rubbing his back as if trying to calm him down but... Roman was still crying just as hard as before. Of course, Virgil wasn't feeling the emotions that Patton could from Roman. It was like a tornado of love, grief, desperation, happiness, and relief. Roman was so happy to have Virgil in his arms, he couldn't stop crying even if he wanted to.

"But... how? If Virgil was the trigger for Roman's memories... why didn't Roman remember sooner?" Patton frowned as he looked over to see Remus with this worried look.

"Remus, their touching." Remus's eyes went wide as he looked back at Paton with shock. "Look how close they are... the way Roman's buried into Virgil. There is no way their skin hasn't touched." Patton gestured by gently brushing his fingers over his own cheek and Remus turned back to the other two. "I don't think it was just 'Virgil' that triggered it but... the soulmate bond, Ray." Patton sighed as he nudged Remus a bit with a chuckle. "We should give them some time. We can talk with Roman later, ok Sunshine?"

"But, Roman..." Remus frowned as sighed as he nodded letting Patton drag him off. After all, they did just randomly leave Logan and Janus and he knew for a fact that the later would NOT be happy at all over it.

"V-Virg-gil..." Roman laughed through the tears as he tried to get just one proper thought to formulate. It was hard. All he could do is go through everything they had been through together. "Virge... I.. I'm sorry." Roman laughed as he pulled away, tears still falling from his face as he held Virgil's in his hands. Virgil just smirked as Roman brushed the other's hair back and stared into his eyes. "I'm sorry. All I want to do is kiss you right now but... I don't want to push your boundaries to soon."

"And I appreciate that, Roman. I do." Virgil sighed as he stepped back forcing himself out of Roman's arms much to the other discomfort as he desperately wanted to hold on to him forever. "I know it's not exactly how... soulmates work but... I need to first get used to the idea of this... of us." Roman's eyes widened as Virgil's gaze fell to the ground. "I'm going to need us to go slow. Please?"

"Virgil, I've told you before all I want is for you to feel comfortable with me." Virgil's expression softened as Roman gingerly brushed his thumb under Virgil's eye as he caressed the man cheek softly. "I don't care how 'slow' we take it... as long as one day you can finally be with me and not feel so scared." Virgil looked up only smile seeing the pure emotion in Roman's eyes. "You don't have to do or say anything. You don't have to promise me a thing, ok but... I've loved for a very very long time." Roman let out a soft breath as he leaned his forehead against Virgil's, letting his eyes slip shut. "I'm willing to wait as long as you need. I'm not going anywhere."

"D-Don't make p-promises you can't keep."

"I'm going to keep this one." Roman's eyes narrowed he held Virgil's hand close to his chest. "Virgil Black, I promise you, I am never going to leave you. We have all the time in the world." Roman laughed as he stepped back with a beaming smile. "And I don't care how long it takes... You're worth waiting for."

"God you're just... so like him." Virgil choked slightly as Roman's eyes dropped a bit. Virgil wiped his tears away before hugging Roman again making the other melt in his arms. "But I appreciate it. Everything you said... Thank you Princey."

"Anything for you, Emo nightmare." Roman tensed as his hand went to Virgil's cheek again making Virgil laugh softly. "V-Virgil... I know you... but, I..." Roman sighed as he went to move away again only for Virgil to smile up at him.

"Go ahead." Roman's eyes shot wide as Virgil just nodded. "Just this once... for now. If your this much like him... then I understand. It's ok, Roman."

"But you said..." Virgil simply just pulled him in as he let his eyes close. Roman melt completely as he carefully put his hand to the back of Virgil's neck tilting the smaller's head back just enough and gently pressed their lips together. Electricity sparked through his bloodstream as he deepened the kiss. His other hand went to Virgil's waist pressing him into him to close as much distance as they could.

Light exploded around him in response to his emotions making Roman chuckle slightly before resuming their kiss. The light danced around them with an array of color swirling about like an ever-moving painting, moving and shifting as the magic between them spun around them with an invisible wind. Roman slowly moved away just enough to press their foreheads together as the two just breathed each other in.

"You don't have to say it back but... I love you so much, Virgil Black." Virgil just chuckled as he wrapped his arms around the other loosely.

"Out of the millions of people, the universe had to choose from..." Roman's eyes narrowed in confusion as Virgil just smiled fondly. "... I am glad it was you."
