"VIRGIL!" Patton was the first to say anything the moment they got back to the hotel. Thomas had texted them all to meet them in the lobby. He figured it would be better to go do something than for them all to just sit and idle. Roman had complained, far too worried about Virgil's wellbeing to want to push him. Virgil had tried to reassure him but Roman was not happy at all. Patton basically slammed into the eldest making Virgil stumble a bit with a laugh.
"H-How are you?" Janus whispered as he stood there behind them both with a worried frown.
"I'm fine. Seriously..." Virgil carefully pulled himself out of Patton's arms and smiled over at everyone. "I'm ok."
"You should still rest, love." Roman hummed as he wrapped an arm around the other and pressed a kiss into his hair. "I'm worried."
"I told you I'm fine." Virgil rolled his eyes playfully as he looked around noticing who everyone was staring at them. Well... More Emile, who's eyes were narrowed in confusion. "Emile?" The doctor jumped lightly as he giggled awkwardly only making Virgil's eyes narrow. "Is something wrong?"
"No. Yes... I don't know. Maybe?" Emile frowned as he looked between the two and frowned. "When did you and Roman get so close? I thought... Well, after everything you told me..."
"Oh, I never told you what happened." Virgil laughed as he shook his head and glanced up at Roman with a question in his eyes.
"Are you sure you want to? It's up to you, Virge..."
"Roman and I are soulmates." Virgil lulled out as he just stared at Roman noticing how the other melted at the admission. It was quite obvious just how much Roman loved him. Virgil had expected as much but... What he didn't expect was the lack of a response. Or well...
"WHAT?" That only one person said anything. Remy stood there coffee in hand completely confused out of his mind as he stared the two princes down. "You... You Mr. don't-touch-me... You're soulmates with Prince Dramatic irritation?"
"Ouch." Roman muttered as Virgil just chuckled with a laugh. Emile's eyes seemed to flash as he glanced around trying to take everything in. Something just felt... familiar about it and he didn't know what.
"How did you figure it out? You don't usually let anyone touch you." Roman frowned in confusion as Remy giggled with excitement. "Come on, Babes. Don't skimp on the deets. Tell me everything."
"Uh well... I found out before Roman did actually." Roman tensed as Virgil's voice seemed to hesitate a bit. "And I would... tell you but, um... Well, Roman might not want me to."
"Why wouldn't I?" Virgil frowned as he glanced back up with a worried look.
"You were having a bad dream." Roman's eyes went wide as Virgil smiled softly. "I didn't know if you wanted the others to know about your nightmares."
"Patton and Remus already do." Roman smiled awkwardly as he shrugged. "I mentioned it... when I was talking with them. I really don't mind Virgil."
"Are you sure?" Roman nodded as he held Virgil a bit tighter.
"I actually want to know how you found out too." Virgil flushed with embarrassment as he shook his head. "Come on, stormcloud. For me at least?"
"You were having another nightmare." Roman's eyes set as Virgil glanced up seeing how everyone was watching them. "The last time you had one, I couldn't do much to help calm it... but this time was even worse because the last time I subconsciously used energy when I slept... it's why I needed the glasses." Roman nodded in understanding as Virgil tensed a bit. "So... I thought... maybe I could... I... Cogitavi si ego cum meis tenentes tibi auxilio esse non citius cessabit." Roman stepped back a bit as Virgil choked offering a smile and making Virgil groan a bit. "I know. It wasn't exactly right, I mean..."
"You were trying to help me with my nightmare. Virgil, trust me... The last thing I'm going to upset about it you holding me while I slept." There was a dramatic gasp and Roman rolled his eyes playfully seeing Remy standing there with his shades in his hair.
"You held him while he slept?" Virgil frowned as he nodded. "Was that how you..."
"No it... wasn't." Roman's eyes narrowed as Virgil sighed and bit his lip. "Roman, you... You talk in your sleep." Roman blushed slightly as Virgil hugged himself. "You talk and... You just kept... apologizing."
"Makes sense, considering." Virgil's eyes darkened as Roman shrugged. "It does. With what my dreams were... I'm not surprised at all."
"I was." Roman frowned as Virgil stared off at nothing. "Angelus meus tenebris..." Roman froze, eyes wide as Virgil gently pressed his fingers to his own lips. "You caught me off gaurd with that and... I didn't mean to but... It's just... He always called me that. That was his name for me. Angelus meus tenebris..."
"My dark angel." Virgil nodded as Roman let out a shaky breath. He glanced over at Patton seeing the understanding in his eyes as he nodded. "It's ok, Virgil. I think I understand what happened." Virgil frowned as he looked away his fingers still pressed lightly against his lips, making Roman chuckle. "I'm not mad."
"But I... I kissed you."
"WHAT?!" Remy squealed as he nearly dropped his coffee with glee. "You kissed him. You kissed him while he was asleep. Wait... You kissed him BEFORE you knew he was your soulmate. Oh, babes... You're too precious." Roman groaned as he rubbed his temple slightly. He wanted to scream that it didn't really matter considering they were married but he didn't. His eyes darted about noticing a different array of looks most in understanding or intrigue. Janus had a look of pity while Logan looked confused. But it was Emile that really caught his eye... Their eyes met and Roman tensed seeing the panic that played through them. His eyes quickly darted over to Patton who frowned and glanced over at the doctor only confirming his thoughts.
Dr. Emile Picani... Just remembered himself.
"Guys, I think we should hurry on to the bus now." Thomas chuckled as he quickly started to usher everyone forward. Patton was fast to push himself to Emiles side pulling him away much to Remy's dislike. Roman frowned as he walked over and hugged Virgil noticing how he was shaking a bit.
"It's ok, my love. I'm not mad."
"But I kissed you... while you slept... without your consent. I'm the last person who would ever do that sort of thing... and you try so hard to respect my boundaries but I just... I'm sorry Roman." Roman smiled softly as he brushed Virgil's bangs back seeing how teary his eyes were. "I'm sorry."
"It's ok, my love. Trust me... I'm ecstatic." Virgil's eyes fell in a sort of confusion as Roman just laughed. "All I've wanted for so long was just for you to feel comfortable with me. Even if it was out of shock and a subconscious response... You still felt comfortable enough to kiss me. You did... I'm not mad. I love you, Virgil."
"Hurry up, guys!" Thomas called in making Roman laugh as Virgil groaned a bit. Roman pressed a soft kiss onto Virgil's forehead as he smiled.
"Yeah... Let's go, Virgil."
