The Awakening
It was early in the morning in Vale, people were preparing for their day. In the Ballroom of Beacon, the same could not be said. All of the new students were still asleep. It was Sunday, so it was natural to sleep in later than usual. But, their rest will soon come to an end. If one of the students would have been awake, they would have seen a white-caped figure casually strolling their way to the center of the room. As said figure stopped, he caused an obnoxious high-pitch noise to pierce the calmness, causing all of the potential new students to sit up in a panic, some attempted to cover their ears but to no avail.
The man allowed the screeching sound to continue for an entire minute until he felt that it was enough. "Good, you're all awake." He stated when he saw that he was the target of several annoyed looks. "Stay that way, or I'll allow it to continue." The figure promised if not threatened the students.
"All of you will get up and prepare for Beacon's Initiation." He instructed as he glanced around, meeting the gazes of his proteges and others. Said two girls didn't seem too disturbed, except for cases of bed-hair.
"Fill your stomachs with this morning's bounty. Then head to the locker room," The brother of Summer said, before walking off. "There you'll be notified of further instructions."
Time Skip
It didn't take long for the students to stumble their way to the locker room, each with a change of clothes. They were too slow in Y/N's opinion, today's a very important day for a person to begin their path to become a Huntsman. They slowly but certainly prepared themselves for the Initiation. Some were attaching armor to themselves, examining their weapons, or performing minor exercises.
He watched as Weiss pulled her weapon from a locker and inspect it. Nodded her head in acceptance, she began to load it will different types of Dust. It didn't take her long due to years of practice and repetition. She closed the locker and glanced around at her fellow potentials and assessed whether or not they make for excellent teammates.
Weiss saw her master's brother-in-law looking for where he deposited his antique sword and scabbard-shield. It reminded her of her grandfather's weapon that he used during the great war. Ancient. Why he didn't have Atlas or another Kingdom upgrade it was beyond her. Actually, that brings up the question of where he trained previously. Combat schools compel their pupils to create their own personal weapon to ensure perfect compatibility.
She didn't have a high opinion of the boy. He was forgetful, clumsy, and uncoordinated. Traits that Huntsmen and Huntresses should not possess. But she did have some hope for him. After all, he was genetically related to Saphron...
So he has some capacity to be skilled in something.
After surveying the people around her and making a mental assessment of each of them, she met her aforementioned master's gaze and saw him mouth something to her. Understanding, Weiss nodded back to him before he headed off in the same direction as the blond boy.
Pyrrha Nikos, her teacher's other student, on the other hand, would fulfill and surpass her expectations. She and Pyrrha would make a great team and even a better duo back in combat school. Weiss has met Mistal's Golden girl in many incidences, most of them in an official capacity. And, while she wouldn't classify them as friends, yet, but rather as great acquaintances. But now that they'll be students at the same institute, she will have several opportunities to learn about her fellow pupils. As a Schnee and the heiress to her grandfather's and father's company, Weiss was supposed to form relations that would benefit in her coming undertakings.
But as Weiss, she wanted to create friendships and relationships that would last, ideally, for as long as she lived.
