"Kahlua!" My best friend screams as she sprints into Damien's Mansion. I giggle, looking up at Damien who sat beside me with his arms wrapped around me he nods his head, telling me to go have fun. We had came downstairs to talk quietly about things while waiting for Rayne and Cian to arrive.
Jumping to my feet, I meet her halfway pulling her into a bone crushing hug. She giggles but they're cut off when she realizes I'm no longer half human. "Oh my goodness, he finally did it." She states in shock causing me to laugh loudly.
Cian walks through the doorway and nods his head, shooting me a warm smile. "It's good to finally have you where you're meant to be." He says making me smile brightly at him. "If you'll excuse me." He says, bowing before making his way to where I left Damien.
Turning my head back to Rayne, I raise my brows as she observes me. "I'm still the same girl." I mumble out, tugging her hands.
"I just can't believe it, I thought I'd never see the day." She says bewildered causing me to giggle.
"Why? You knew Damien and I were soulmates." I wiggle my brows at her, trying to lighten the mood.
She laughs at my actions before grabbing my hand, dragging me through the kitchen and outside onto the patio. "I assumed you weren't too fond on becoming a vampire Kahlua, I mean. When you found out about having to drink blood, it kind of seemed like it scared you off." She said thoughtfully.
Grinning widely i push her shoulder playfully, "I'll admit, it made my skin crawl back then. But I have things to discuss with you." I say, holding her hand.
Her eyebrows furrow, nodding her head telling me to continue. "My father is not Vincent."
Her shoulders relax and she blows out a sigh of relief "Thank God." She mutters and it's my turn to nod. "Well do you know who is then?" She asks and I smile, nodding my head.
Before I can say, Damien walks out with Cian trailing behind him. "I want us all together before we discuss any thing else." He states, and I smile his way.
"So Orpheus is my father, I have his mark to prove it." I fill in, Rayne gasps her eyes searching mine to make sure she heard me right.
"But how is that possible?" She breathes out.
"That's a good question."Damien says.
"That doesn't make sense Damien, you said so yourself Vincent said Orpheus was captured over a hundred years ago." Cian states accusingly.
Damien's eyes glow menacingly causing me to gulp. "That is what Vincent said yes, we've already established he's a liar. Or were you insinuating I was lying?" He questions Cian and Rayne gasps.
Cian backs up, hands raised in surrender. "I didn't mean it like that Damien...So if Vincent lied, that means Vincent is the only one who knows where Orpheus is." He finishes, eyeing my mate warily.
"That's correct..." I fill in, squinting my eyes at Cian. Rising to my feet I'm aware of everyone's eyes on me, circling around Damien and Cian, I eye Cian curiously. I can hear him swallow harshly, eyeing me back. He's confused as to what I'm doing, I stop to stand in front of Damien, putting myself between the two.
