The second I said his name we were engulfed in darkness. Gloxinia used his spirit spear to create light.

"Thank you Drole," he says, his eyes never leaving mine.

I knew they were worried about me. Their reactions made it plain as day.

"Who knows?" Drole asks, "Have you talked to Merlin about severing the connection?"

I am stunned. I expected them to be shocked but to actually go this far. I shake my head looking at feet.

"He's not as bad as everyone says he is," I mumble.

"You can't be serious Elizabeth. Do have any idea what he does? He kills humans! Tortures them! Not to mention what he does to Goddesses!" Gloxinia exclaims angrily.

My eyes widen still not looking at them.

He would never. It can't be true. He's too kind to be that evil.

"I don't believe you. Meliodas is too kind and gentle to be that ruthless," I refuse to believe them.

"The demons look at him as the next Demon King, Elizabeth! How oblivious can you be!" Drole is yelling now.

I'm quiet. Absorbing everything being said. Why can't they just trust me to know what I'm doing? Images of Meliodas fill my head and I can't help but smile.

"I-"

Boom!

The ground shakes and something lands meters away from where we are underground.

This power... Meliodas!

Drole raises us back up and I turn around to face my mate. He looks dangerous and deadly, staring behind me at my friend's.

Nobody dare moves. The anger radiating off Meliodas is suffocating. He holds out his hand in my direction waiting for me to take it.

I step closer to him ready to grab when he suddenly unsheathes his sword. I follow his gaze to Drole and Gloxinia who have drawn their weapons.

"Meliodas no! Drole! Gloxinia! Cut it out!" I yell trying to keep the peace.

"You need to stay away from Elizabeth, Demon," Gloxinia spits in his direction.

"She's my mate. I do what I want, when I want, when it come to her," he smirks now but still dead serious.

"That's enough!" I yell at them looking back and forth between them. "Put your weapons away!"

Nobody moves.

"NOW!"

That startles them. I've never raised my voice like that before. I feel a gust of wind and a hand on my lower waist.

"That was really hot, my little mate." Meliodas says his mouth against my ear as he presses his arousal into my hip.

I blush like crazy looking at ground knowing I can't look at my friends. I push back into him and he groans.
