The Beginning

Chapter 6

Her outfit is just the dress when her dress changes.

Silence.

Nobody dare speak.

My mother is stunned but her eyes still held fury. Seline had her hands on her mouth her expression matched everyone else.

My face is emotionless letting everyone know I'm serious. After a few seconds I blink and walk past Mother to go to my room.

"We aren't done Elizabeth. What has gotten into you?" She grabs my arm. She pushes my arm to make me spin around to face her.

My mark tingles as I feel a rush of power enter my body. A strong wind blows the front doors open, shaking the whole house as they bang against the walls. The wind blows my hair as the tingle turns into a pleasurable burn.

The mark grow to my chest disintegrating parts of my chest and adding the ominous purple. I can feel Maels' power approaching me from behind.

"Meliodas, I think he's been brainwashing her into thinking sh-"

An arm wrapping around my waist and pulling me into a chest cuts him off and stops his movements. I look behind me seeing Meliodas holding his free hand out with a sword in Maels' direction.

"Get your filthy hands off my daughter, demon," my mother spits. His arm moves from my waist to my hair moving it out of the way exposing my mark.

"When it comes to Elizabeth, I out rank you, Mother" he spits back smirking, infuriating her more. His eyes never leave Mael, "The only way you would know anything about us, is if you were watching."

I'm appalled,"Oh my goddess! Mael! Please tell me you didn't see us?"

He looks away disgusted and embarrassed.

"I should kill you for seeing my mate like that," Meliodas growls dangerously. The murderous intent surrounding him was suffocating.

I nuzzle my face into his neck breathing in his scent. Trying to defuse the situation I started, I grip his arm with the sword slowly pushing it down.

"If we want peace you have to calm down," I whisper kissing his neck. "Let's go."

"You got lucky. The next time I see you, Mael, you better hope Elizabeth is with me," his powers flare up to let him know he's serious.

Meliodas walks us backwards towards the open doors, his body on alert for attackers.

"If you leave with him Elizabeth you are not welcomed back! You will regret this!" My mother screams.

"No I won't. I'll never regret loving my mate more than anything." I state with that we're gone. We landed in our field.

"How did you know?" I ask once we landed still in our position from the palace.

His finger traces my mark, "The mark I gave you has the ability to borrow some of my power in stressful situations. When I felt a small amount of my power disappear, I knew you were in trouble." He kissed my head and pulled me as close as possible.

I looked up and smiled at him. This is the happiest I have ever been. I have grown so much since meeting Meliodas and now that my mother knows...

My mother. She's really mad, I've never seen her that mad especially at me. Even though we've never been close she is still my mother and I love her, but Meliodas he has shown me love and has proven time and time again that he loves me. I just can't help thinking about her retaliation and Mael...

I can't believe he would spy on us like that. When I was- and with- I'm so disgusted with him.

"Hey what's up? You're frowning," Meliodas says bring me back to him.
