The Beginning

Chapter 8

Two years later

Meliodas and I have been living in the Fairy King's Forest since he killed Zeno and Aranak. We've been fighting against demon attacks as well as the goddess attacks with Drole and Gloxinias' help.

The day we both came to the Fairy King's Forest we had a long talk. Meliodas explained everything from his behavior the day he sent me away to the moves we've made the past two years.

Apparently, when I fell asleep that night, Meliodas went in search of his brother to ask him to join us. Zeldris declined and processed to tell Chandler Meliodas' plan to leave the kingdom. His father found out not long after and the only way to make them believe Zeldris lied was to distance me and continue like nothing was wrong.

Six months after that the Goddesses attacked a town housing demons and eradicated everyone. From what I understand Derieres' little sister was staying in that town and hates all Goddesses now. She hates me because I couldn't get there in time we were fighting in a few towns over and by the time we heard everyone was dead.

It makes me sad and angry knowing that my mother's actions and orders destroyed a friend's life. It's all my fault for going against her, no matter how many times Meliodas tells me and comforts me I still know I'm to blame.

People like Deriere are why we are fighting against the war.

Fighting to stop it.

"What's on your mind Elizabeth?"

I look up from the ground and meet Meliodas' green eyes. Ever since he left the Commandments his green eyes have been his main color.

I smile, "Just the past two years. We've come so far with our mission, it's hard to believe it's almost over."

He smiles sadly, "Yeah I know what you mean. I guess that just means we need to make the most of it."

He gropes my chest and moves to my butt as I squeal in surprise.

"Meliodas could you not do that in front of Drole your embarrassing him," Gloxinia interrupts.

I look at Drole and his face is just as dark as mine. Meliodas stops his assault and wraps his arm around my waist.

"What's up you guys? Haven't seen you in a couple days," Meliodas says nonchalantly.

"We've been traveling trying to find out where the next attack is going to be," Drole says his face his normal color. He looks grim though.

"Well? Don't leave us hanging," Meliodas says getting impatient. They look away.

"It's quiet. Both sides have not been seen in weeks. I'm worried that this isn't a good sign." Gloxinia looks at us with worry.

Meliodas' bangs cover his eyes and his body tenses, "I see, we need to gather our allies and be ready. They could attack at anytime. Since their last attacks were close to here my guess would be this is where they are going to attack next."

"Understood. We will go send word." With that they leave.

Meliodas sighs and steps away from me. He runs his hands up and down his face and into his hair. I walk over to him and pull him into a hug.

"It'll be okay we've been preparing for this day for a while now," I say sweetly.

"I still don't like how calm you are about this. It's unnerving Elizabeth," Meliodas mumbles against me.

"We are going to be together until the very end, what more could I ask for?" He grunts in response.

"How about instead of wallowing in what's going to happen, we focus on the here and now. We enjoy the time we have left together," I day hoping to cheer him up.

"I think I understand what your saying," he says seriously, "you're such a dirty girl Elizabeth."

In the two years we've been together Meliodas has gotten more pervy.

He pulls me down into a kiss. Catching me off guard he stick his tongue in my mouth. I moan and start to kiss back.

His hands travel my body as me backs me into a tree. My arms go around his neck as he picks me up and wraps my legs around his waist.

We pull away and he trails kisses down my neck and sucks on my mark. I moan louder and arch into him. His hands travels up my thigh and in-between us to undo his pants and rip my underwear away.

In one thrust he fills me completely. His trusts are hard and fast making me scream in pleasure. His relentless pace making my legs shake and go numb.

I grip his hair and pull him into another passionate kiss as I feel my orgasm building.

"I love you," I say as I let go and fall into ecstasy.

"I love you too," he grunts as his thrusting continues until he empties himself into me.

Meliodas slowly sets me down and holds me in place as my legs are still wobbly. I take a few deep breathes and smile at him.

"I think I'm okay now," I say shyly.

He chuckles and lets me go. We adjust ourselves and head to our cottage Gloxinia and Drole help us make for our stay.

"I want you to make me a promise," Meliodas says suddenly, "Promise me that if we manage to beat fate and our Clans, we'll get married and have a family."

I'm stunned. We've never talked about kids. Not that we've ever had time, it just never crossed my mind.

I smile at him, "Of course Meliodas. Nothing would make me happier."

We reach our cottage. It's outside is Stone and hidden with shrubs and miss. The inside is wood complete with a kitchen/bedroom and bathroom. Just big enough for the two of us.

"Although we might have to tell Gloxinia that we will be moving for more room," I giggle looking around at our tiny home.

"I agree. Not enough room for hybrids to be running around."

All of a sudden my head starts to hurt and my stomach cramps. I grip both as I lean forward trying to ease the pain.

"Elizabeth? Are you okay?" Meliodas asks touching my back.

"M-My head," is all I can manage.

Suddenly his vision gets spotty as the floor becomes closer. The last thing I hear is Meliodas calling my name before darkness consumes me.
