Chapter 30: Next Stop, Florida (Mattia's POV)

5:30 am
BEEP BEEP

As I wake up to the sound of my alarm, I groan.

"I'm too tired for this." I say to myself.

Last night was so irritating. Like why can't people just mind their own business.

-Last night-

Kai, Ale and I were hanging out in my room trying to find out what to do about the situation with Jenna.

"Why would they even bring her up like that?" I ask, seeing all these fanpages spreading the lie.

"I don't know, man." Ale says.

"Go on live and address the rumors." Kai suggests.

I think about it and then finally get on live.

"Short live." I begin to say

-Now-

I start to get annoyed again.

"Ughh" I groan, slapping a pillow in my face and falling back onto the bed.

I lay there for a couple of minutes until-

"FLORIDA" I say outloud, remembering what today is.

I get up and quickly get ready.

-1 hour later-

I decided to wait at the airport early.

As I wait, I scroll through instagram, seeing all this stuff about Jenna.

I get annoyed and decide to go on tiktok. Which I quickly learned that they were also talking about her on there.

Ughhhh.

I feel a tap on my shoulder.

Ale?

"Heyy, Whats up mann!" I say, glad to see something good this morning.

As he and I talk, I see that all the boys came.

"What are yall doing here?" I ask, confused.

"We wanted to just say bye, man" Pinto says.

I look at everyone and notice someone is missing.

Where's Y/n?

"Y/n didn't want to come?" I ask but quickly remember the way I left things with her last night.
"Oh my god. Wait I forgot to talk to her."

I begin to get worried.

"She's probably so hurt right now. Damn! I'll call her-" I say, as I pull out my phone.

"It's okay, dawg." Kai begins, "She's getting us all coffee."

As if she could sense that we were talking about her..
"Okay, so who got the Caramel Frappuccino with extra whipped cream.." she continues on and gives everyone their drinks, holding two left.

"Here you go sir." She says, trying to mimic my accents. "I got you your favorite."

As she hands me it, I just stare at her.

How did I meet someone so beautiful.

"Are you gonna stand there like a statue all day, or are you actually gonna take my gift" she begins to giggle.

"My bad" I say, snapping out of whatever I was in.

I take it, but hand it to Ale to hold.

"Hey, that was for you-" she begins to say, but I cut her off by wrapping her in a hug.

We stand there for a couple of minutes, until she pulls away.

"Hurry up sleepy head. Your drink is gonna go to waste." She says grabbing my cup and handing it back to me.

I just smile at her as I grab it.

-1 hour later-

We were all sitting down, Y/n sitting right by me as I had my arm wrapped around her.

We get interrupted from my flight being called.

"Well, I guess your off" Kai says.

"Guess so" I reply back, getting my stuff.

As I say goodbye to everyone, I save the best for last.

"Be safe" Y/n says, as I feel her small hands wrap around my neck.

I hug her tightly.

"You act like you're getting drafted for World War III" Ale says.

Y/n slowly pulls away, "He's got a point.."

"Wha- you're agreeing with him?" I laugh.

She just giggles and nods her head. "Come on, you're gonna miss your flight, and don't forget to tell them I say hi"

I smile at her and say one last goodbye to everyone before getting on the plane and taking off.
