Oh Shit- Maihua Lee

Chapter One

Day 1 of VidCon

I wake up to the sound of my alarm, I wipe the sleep out of my eyes and immediately realize what day it is. Today is the day I go to VidCon for the first time. My birthday is coming up soon so my parents surprised me with two tickets to VidCon. I decided I was going to take my best friend, K'leiah. Last night, I chose my outfit ahead of time. Today I'm going to be wearing a plain white T- shirt, black jeans, and my high top checkered vans. I pair my outfit with two gold chains and a watch. I say bye to my parents after breakfast, grab my keys, and head to K'leiah's house. Fast forward an hour later after I help K'leiah pick out her outfit and get dressed, we're in the car and on our way to VidCon.

We get our passes and go through security. The first panel, I'm forced to visit by the way, is Sam and Colby's panel. Then we go to a panel I'm actually not mad at, Twaimz and Larray. We stay there for a while and then relax. Soon, after all the performances, we get thirsty and go to the nearest smoothie joint. After we get drinks we go back to the event. We visit a couple more panels like, Shane Dawson, Emma Chamberlin, Dolan Twins, and MacDoesIt. We eventually get tired and decide to head home. K'leiah decides to take a detour and get something to eat, I don't argue.

Day 2 of VidCon

On day two of VidCon, I decide to wear a black T- shirt and blue ripped jeans, I pair it with a beanie and and some chains. After we're into the event, we go straight to Shane Dawson's booth. We talk to a bunch of people and soon enough, we get hungry. We decide to find the nearest mexican cuisine restaurant. We order our food and sit down and in the middle of our conversation, two girls walk into the restaurant. I think I've seen them before, maybe at VidCon? I just shake the idea out of my head, and get back to our conversation.

After the two girls get done ordering their food, they make their way to the table behind ours. I'm not sure how it happened, it happened so fast but one of girls tripped, and spilled her food all over me! "Oh shit!" she exclaimed. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't paying attention, I didn't mean to trip you." I don't know why, but I kept rambling on and on. Finally she stopped me and said, "Don't be, I'm kinda glad you weren't paying attention." I look up and she winks at me. I was shocked and before I could say anything she says, "My name is Maihua, I don't know if you recognize me but I'm from tik tok.", after that decide to introduce myself, "I'm Kiah, I'm not on any social media platforms but youtube.", after that I just decide to stay quiet while she talks,"This is my sister Gaohna, she's also on tik tok." after a while of chatting and getting to know each other, we decide to trade numbers and skip day 3 of VidCon to hang out.

The next Day

I'm kinda excited for our hangout. She's super cute but I don't know if she'll even be interested in me like that. I decide to not impress anyone and throw on a pair of joggers and a plain T- shirt. We decided to meet up at Sky Zone. It's a fun idea I guess. After I get dressed I here my phone ring. It's Maihua, I pick up the phone and say hello. I hear her giggle at the other end of the line. "Hey It's pretty early, I was thinking before we go to Sky Zone, I could take you out for breakfast. Of course it would be my treat." I stay silent and then decide to say, "What if I want to pay?", I'm pretty sure she took that as a yes and says, "I'll be there in 30. Send me your address." Before I could say anything more, she hangs up the phone. I give in and send her my address. Like she promised, she's here 30 minutes later.

She takes me to the Blu Jam Cafe. I've never been here before but it looks like a good place. We get a booth by the window, and order our food. While we're waiting for our food we start a conversation,"So uh- what do you like to do for fun around here?" I ask her. "Well when I'm here I'm usually with Gaohna, and I let her plan all the fun stuff." "Well this is my first time in LA. My parents surprised me with tickets to VidCon." After we talk for a bit our food finally comes. We eat and chat, and then we leave to go to Sky Zone. Once we get done having an amazing time jumping, we decide to take a break and get slushies. We decided to take some cute pics and I posted them to my instagram and snapchat. She does the same.

Once we finish jumping at Sky Zone, we go back to my place. We decide to watch movies together and after debating between Disney, and horror, we settled down and watched Aladdin. After that little debate, she quickly learned that I win EVERY argument. Once we're done watching Aladdin, we put in a horror movie. We get a little distracted and got comfy with each other. We ended up realizing that by the end of the movie we were cuddling. It might sound a little cliche, but in that moment I swear it was just me and her. She stared deep into my eyes,and right before I was about to say something, she kissed me. I was shocked at first but then I kissed back. We kissed for a while but nothing more. Eventually she had to leave so I walked her to her car and she kissed me goodbye.

At that moment I didn't know what I was feeling, but I know for sure I was excited. I was excited to see if maybe she could actually like me, maybe even eventually...... love me.
