Hesitant because you're about to lose control to the moment
But there's a silence to fill
And he's waiting on you soIt bubbles out like the bottle of champagne you just popped
And it's passed around until no one is thinking straight
Dancing and screaming and smiles and everything you need to convince yourself that this isn't the eye of the stormBecause as far as you can see, the sea is calm
Squinted eyes, tunnel vision
Could it stay like this?Youth is all you are aware of
A religion of your own
But, with faith comes testYour smile fades as you see your white gown stored in the back of the closet
Coffee brews and the office opens at eightAnd sometimes
Just sometimes
You forget what you were laughing at
