Beyond this place of wrath and tears,
looms but the horror of the shade.
And yet the menace of the years,
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

______________
\The Captain/
..."When was the last time I've had a chance to really think about how cool these kiddos are?"

The captain mumbled this to himself as he sat down in random hall, gazing at the stars and the Earth below. The window is one of few on the Base itself because of the high probability getting sucked into the vacuum of Space itself, then into Earth's gravity and getting burned alive on the way down to the unforgiving ground.

He seemed to enjoy himself as he watched the world move along, blissfully unaware of its fate, held in the hands of mostly children. Two years will determine everything. Will life be saved? Or will the Cap be forced to watch Earth restart all over again? For the 6,763,543rd time.

This is the curse, the curse of repetition assigned to this man.
__
Long ago, The Captain had a name and a purpose. It was during medieval times when the only concern for him was if he was going to make it to his next meal.

It's amazing how antagonising the village witch because of being drunk had sealed his fate. Literally. A seal with strange symbols was embedded into the Captain's skin.

Recognising the witch's work, the village proceeded to hang and be rid of him. The captain has died before. He didn't mind dying to a bunch of crazy bastards and figured that the village idiot should die anyway. Until he woke up seconds after his own death, in the same place he left off with the village coming at him again.

Needless to say, he was chucked into an endless cycle that would not stop until he broke the chain of events that played out.

The only way to do that was to run away. To this day, no one in that village has ever seen their local idiot again.

That was only the beginning. Without warning, the captain is thrown into a different parts of the world in different ages of time. Death ensues again. The captain runs away again and again.

Slowly but surely, he begins to understand his position once he finally catches wind of the Earth's very first batch of M.O.D.S.

"Am I.. meant to lead them?" He asked himself. "With what power?"

The witch's curse is a super power. One Cap has learned how to control with little use. The ability is therefore named "Foresight."

After dying so many times, this captain found it almost ironic that he had to restart life in medieval times. He did not plan on dying again.

Those M.O.D.S, whatever they are, are special. Cap wanted to lead them, he had no choice. Why fight fate when it can be changed? It was then discovered that alongside his foresight, he was also immortal. His age only ever really changed when new M.O.D.S surfaced. They didn't come by very often, the last group from approximately 600 years ago.

This group blazed a trail for a series of unfortunate events that spiraled out hand. Many in the group died, and the aliens won. Earth was destroyed.

No worries, thought the Captain as he woke up in Medieval times again. I'm going to fix this. We're going to win next time. Cap then proceeded with causing anything to do with destroying Earth to come to an end, nearly dying as his entire crew of M.O.D.S lived for a strangely unknown reason.

\Midnight Cat/

Cap has amassed a small army of cats. They are all linked to him, sharing bits and pieces of his knowledge but nothing moreover.

Inwardly, Midnight smiles.

If he truly wanted to, he could summon forth an illusion that enables him the ability to speak. But what's the fun in that when riddles and puzzles are far more entertaining?

Besides, these kids are entertainment. His sleek, black form slips around the kids that interrupted the his relaxation time after he had chewed on delicious shrimp provided by space Mom herself. The book held within Nico's hands forms new words. "I will explain everything to you soon."

"State your objective." A plain voice says."

"Infiltrate, isolate, possess." a hissy, robotic voice responds.

"What will you do when you achieve your objective?"

"Eradicate the M.O.D.S. program and and everything apart of it."

"Good... Good, you are ready."
...
A teenage girl with a white hair gazed blankly at the bleached white wall she had been staring at for several hours before. She didn't wonder why those words words were exchanged or what they meant.

Not a single thought runs through her mind.

A door opens itself, revealing a new world (or a building in this case) to explore. Memory of the conversation has been wiped clean, her once empty personality takes form as she becomes confused.

"W-where am I? Hello?" She squeaks nervously as she walks with both confusion and excitement for the unknown.

It doesn't take long for her to meet Kaida.

In the span of an hour, young Leo has caught on to the controls very well. Unbeknownst between Leo and the agent, a bond has been formed.

"Like I said, you're a natural." The agent said as they took to watching Leo successfully make a smooth landing with a satisfied smile on his face.
