Me and Faith were hanging out at my house, playing mario kart. Of course Faith won the first round. "Can you stop being so good at this?" I asked as I stood up "sorry Y/n, no-". The next round, I got infront of Faith's kart and got 1st place. "Yes!" Faith fell back on my bed "dude!" I laughed, me and Faith's phone buzzed at the same time "umm-?" I looked at my phone Pay❤: I'm having a pool party at my house at 3, you should come! I'm also having a fire so bring extra clothes to change out of. I looked at Faith "did you get a text about a-" she looks up "pool party? At my house?". I nodded "Payton is lucky that mom isn't home" "I feel like she is the type of mom that wouldn't care anyway". Faith and I get off of my bed "you should probably get ready. Its 2:30" I grabbed my blue bikini, a cover-up and went into the bathroom to change. I threw my cover-up over my bikini. I walked out and Faith smiled "Damnn!" I rolled my eyes "we better go so you can get changed too". I grabbed a towel and we ran out off the house and into my car. We got to Payton's house, I parked my car and we ran to the door and Faith let us in. "I hear people outside, go find Payton. I'll met you out there" she ran upstairs and I went to the backyard. I see Payton doing a backflip into the pool. He gets to the surface, pushes his hair back and sees me "Y/n!" "Hi! Nice backflip!" "Thanks!". I see Faith come out and she walks over to me "I got sunscreen" she gives it to me and i put it on. She grabs my arm and whispers "Payton is staring at you" I looked without turning my head and he was. Me and Faith layed down, close to the poolside. "Hey" I open my eyes to see Mikey. "Hey Mikey! What's up?" He sits next to me "nothing much-" Mikey smiles "what's the smile-" I see Payton about to jump in next to us. "PAYTON NO!" he jumps in and splashes us "Payton!". I see him smiling "what? You and Faith looked like you were about to burn" I put my feet into the pool and Payton swims to me. He smiles and I back away, knowing he was gonna pull me in but- well i was to late. He grabbed my legs and pulled me in. I feel hands go around my waist that pulled me up. I rubbed my eyes and see Payton, holding me. "You ok?" I nodded "yeah- why did you pull me in though? I was so warm!" He smiles "like I said, you looked like you were gonna burn". I felt my legs wrap around his waist, he puts a arm underneath my thighs to hold me better. He smirks and whispers "big mistake" i couldn't get a reaction in time "close your eyes" he dunks me in the water. He lifts me back up, I got the water off my face "Payton!" I opened my eyes and lightly smacked his bare chest. "What? I warned you before I did it" I got lost in his eyes for a sec until Jacob jumped in. Jacob shakes out his hair and looks over at us "watch the way you look at me, cutie" he winks. Payton yells at Jacob "who are you talking to?" Jacob laughs "I was talking to you dude! You looking mad sexy" I laughed. "woooow...I see how it is-" Payton laughs and goes along "no I swear it was him! But- homeboy looking goood!". I let go of him and got out of the pool "no wait! Dont gooo-" he said as he submerged underwater. I laughed and whispered under my breath "God I love you Pay-" Faith looks at me with a smile on her face "you heard me didn't you?" Faith pushes me back into the pool. Someone catches me "who-" I see Payton "oh my god- that scared me!" Payton lifts me up and out of the pool "thanks Pay". Eventually, everyone got out of the pool and went inside to changed into their clothes that they brought with. I whispered "fuck!" Payton heard me "what?" "I forgot extra clothes!" he takes off his sweatshirt. "Here" "you're gonna get cold-" he smiles "im always hot and besides, I'm gonna make a fire. I'll be ok. If you want, you can go into my room and grab a pair of sweatpants". My boy bestfriend/my crush is letting me wear his clothes- um- your making me fall for you more! is what I said in my head. I went into his room,grabbed a pair of sweatpants and threw them on. I see his cologne on his dresser "tempting....fuck it-!" His sweatshirt already smelt like him but it was fading, I sprayed a couple of sprays, put the bottle back on his dresser and went out. I ran back outside to see Payton staring at me with a smirk "what?" He looks away "nothing-" I smiled "liar". We sat by the fire and Payton whispers "are you wearing my cologne?" My face went completely red. He puts his arm around me "I was wondering why you smelled so good-" I rolled my eyes. I dont know what came over me but I quickly kissed his cheek. I turned bright red "I'm sorry-" "can we go inside and talk?". We went inside "what's-" "Y/n, be honest with me. Did you mean that kiss more then a friendship way?" My heart started pounding and I felt my face get red. "Yes....I'm sorry Payton- I-" my voice cracked and i felt tears in my eyes "oh Y/n- don't cry. I'm not mad". "That's not it...I dont want to lose you...let's just forget this ever happened and continue to be best-" he stops me by kissing me. "One, You're not gonna lose me. Two, I'm not going to forget you kissed me because. Three, I love you more than anything, I didnt want to tell you for the fear of you not liking me back. You mean everything to me and that's why I'm so protective/jealous when boys flirt with you...." he stopped. "Payton-" he looks into my eyes and chuckles "would you be mad If I asked you out right now?" "No? If your asking me out right now, I'm saying yes". He smiles "now I know why you lit up when I gave you my sweatshirt- but, will you be my girlfriend?" "Yes". He kisses my cheek "I have to grab something. You should go out and tell everyone that we're not dead. I'll be out in a sec" I ran back outside. "Where the hell-" Chase pointed me out and everyone looked at me. "Where did you go and where is Pay?" They didn't see me go off with Payton? "I wanted water and Payton had to grab something". I sat back by the fire and felt an arm around me "hey" I see Payton, sitting next to me "hi". Everyone looks at us "Payton, arnt you a little flirt?" Faith says smiling. It was time to go but...I really didn't want to. I ran and hugged Payton "bye Payton" he picks me up "who says you're leaving?" He walks away with me "I got to go!" I laughed. He eventually puts me down "Y/n, you have to tell him before you leave" Faith says as she walks up to us "tell him what?" I said, knowing what she was getting at "you know" "what? That I fell in love with my bestfriend?" Payton smiles "I know-" he kisses my cheek. Faith screams like a fangirl "OH MY GOD!" everyone runs over "what's wrong Faith?!" "Sorry guys! I didnt mean to scare you. My brother has a girlfriend!" Everyone looked at me. I backed into Payton "they're onto me.." everyone smiled "well, it wasn't at ALL obvious that you guys liked each other".
