I was being kidnapped pretty much by a ghost. A freaking ghost.

Now I didn't ever believe in the 'paranormal' until I had come to my aunts house and discovered this ghost girl, Clara Lase who just happened to be haunting my room.

She was dragging me around the mansion by my hand. Her hand was tightly gripped onto mine, her cold hand. I shivered at the thought of her being actually dead.

She led me to a dead end. I was confused.

"Okay, touch your bracelet to the centre of the wall" She insisted.

I looked down at my bracelet on my right wrist that I'd had since I was a baby, and then reached forward and touched it to the wall, to which the wall completely disappeared and the wall seemed to mesh together and soon what appeared was, a teleport!?

No, this was way too bizarre!

"What are you waiting for?" Clara said impatiently.

"Uhm, exactly what do I do?" I asked sheepishly, to which she shoved me forward into the blue and black swirl. I felt myself fall, wind whipping my hair around, messing it up.

I could see no bottom, nor where there permanent walls.

I fell for a little while until I could see a bright light closing in on me, and soon I was thrown out of the teleport into the hallway on the other side of the mansion.

"Whoa" My jaw dropped as the teleport behind me closed, "Did that really just happen?" I asked myself. I then noticed Clara was floating right next to me.

"whoa! Where'd you come from!?" I hadn't remembered her coming in through the teleport as well.

"Duh, I can float through walls dummy, I also know where every teleport goes in this house" She rolled her eyes.

"So is that how you knew where I was? Weird…" I muttered.

"Fool! I've been stuck in this house ever since 1899, of course I know where they all are!" She barked.

"Whoa, whoa don't freak out Casper" I held my hands up in defence. Her face twisted into contortions of anger.

"Don't insult me !" She barked, hair flowing vigorously

"Sorry, Sorry!" I held my hands up in defence. She sighed.

"So do you go around scaring people or what?" I asked, twirling my hair with my finger.

"You honestly don't believe that rubbish, do you?" She sighed, looking at me with a dull expression.

"Hey, it's what I grew up watching" I said in defence, it was true though.

My parents were really into horror movies and things, the thought of them made me immediately sad, everything in this house seemed to remind me of them.

She noticed and was sympathetic.

"Oh! Hey don't be sad" She tried to cheer me up, which was a welcome change from her usual frosty attitude towards me since I met her.

"Okay" I wiped my eyes with the back of my sleeve.

I then heard footsteps approaching towards us in the hallway, a figure came into view after a few seconds. It was the butler, Jay. His handsome face smiled at me as he approached me. He really was gorgeous, and looked about my age.

"Miss, what are you doing wandering the corridors this time of night?" He tilted his head to the side, studying me carefully, I blushed at his narrowing gaze. I turned to Clara, and she had disappeared. Jay looked somewhat confused.

"Oh, uhm nothing" I put on a smile. He would never believe me if I told him I was talking to a ghost, let alone going through portals! I thought it was best I kept it a secret. He gave me a lovely smile, which made me weak at the knees.

"If you need me, let me know" He smiled and kept walking.

As he walked past me, I was engulfed by his perfume. It was intriguing, it made me want to follow him, so I decided not to fight against it.

I turned to follow him and bumped into Clara.

"Don't fall for his trick" She sounded as if she had repeated it many times before. I suddenly snapped out of my trance like daze like a wave crashing over me. I shook my head as if waking up.

"W-what was that!?" I asked, completely and utterly freaked, the hell out.

"It was him seducing you" She mumbled, bored.

"W-what!? I'm only 17!" I accused.

 She shrugged.

"You're the new girl, he'll take anything he can get, that's just the way he is" She floated down the hallway, I instinctively followed like a puppy. I was disappointed, I thought he had actually liked me.

"I guess boys are all the same" I sighed.

"No, it's just him" She rolled her eyes at me.

"Oh…" We walked down to another winding hall. She stopped outside my room.

"You musn't speak to anyone about me or the portals, your 'Aunt' can't know that you know, got it?" She tested me.

"I guess" I agreed, she shoved me into my room. Rather roughly actually… I shrugged it off.

"I guess she's not a gentle person" I mumbled.
