I woke up in a comfy bed, surrounded by soft bears and pillows, it was what I looked forward most in my day.

I lazily lolled around in bed for a good half an hour before Bella awoke me.

"We musn't sleep in too late Miss, we musn't" She bustled.

She placed out my attire for the day on the end of my bed.

A deep blue dress that I would soon found out went down past my knees, with a white centre front with a stitching of lacing around the U-neck of the dress, long white stocking and dark blue high heels.

She also added a dark green bandana, which she said would 'make a lovely accessory' before leaving.

I had never had anyone fuss over me this much in my life.

I lazily got up out of bed and walked over to the window.

I spotted Jay gardening and admired him for a little while, until he waved that I knew he had seen me staring. Good thing I was on the second story…

I walked over to my bed and got dressed, and had to literally shove Bella out when she insisted on me letting her help me change, I could do that myself!

When I managed to get the dress, stockings and shoes on, I hobbled over to the mirror to tie the green bandana into my blond hair.

I had to really concentrate when I put my hair up into a bun, I let two locks of my hair stay out of the bun, on either side of my face hang loosely.

In the concentration, my deep sea green eyes stared back at me, searching for the girl who was once poor. I didn't find her, instead I found a girl, ravished in an expensive looking dress.

When I finally had the bandana under control, I headed down to breakfast, to which Bella walked me to.

I sat down to find Aunt Hazel absent, I looked around in confusion.

Elliot walked over to me, pouring my orange juice when he stood beside me.

"Madam will not be joining you for breakfast this morning, she sends her apologies, but she had come down with a sudden fever" He explained, face solemn.

"Oh, that's not good" That was all I could think of too say. He shook his head.

"No, it isn't" He agreed.

"Will you pass on my concerns?"

"Of course, miss" He bowed slightly and walked away, through some door, out of sight. I then ate my breakfast in silence. She was sick? That was unexpected.

She had seemed perfectly fine yesterday. I took a big mouthful of toast. Maybe she got sick often? It wasn't really my business to know anyway, I thought.

After finishing my breakfast, there were no butlers or maids around like usual, so I just stood up and headed for the gardens.

They were spectacular, and I hadn't had a chance to really have a look at them close up yet.

I stood outside into the rays of sunshine and walked into the maze of roses and orchids. I savoured the beauty, as I knew well that winter was almost upon us.

I walked for awhile, and soon came upon Jay, talking to himself at the edge of some lake. I stood back, unsure if I should close in on his 'discussion' with himself. Maybe he was crazy?

Instead, I decided to venture closer anyway, and I reached for his shoulder.

Then, before I could see who he was talking too, a huge ball of water splashed my face from nowhere!

"Ah!" I gasped in surprize, and when I cleared the water out of my eyes, Jay looked petrified.

"I'm so sorry Miss!" A small blue figure floated beside him, standing out.

"W-what is that!?" My eyes bulging.

He stepped in front of the blue figure, shielding it from my view.

"I think you're seeing things" He held my hands to steady me, I drew my hands back, as if he'd electrocuted me. He frowned.

"No, You know exactly what I'm talking about!" I pushed him to the side, revealing nothing. Maybe I was the crazy one? He looked around.

"I have no idea what you're talking about Miss" He insisted he knew nothing of this blue figure.

"So it was you who splashed me then!?" I looking at him accusingly. He looked sheepish.

"Y-yes" Was his answer.

The trees then echoed the sound of my hand colliding with his cheek in one swift motion. He drew in a quick breath, his hand rushing to his cheek, not saying a word.

I then realised my boldness and offered my apologies. I was acting like some spoilt princess!

He then smiled at me.

"No, no. You had every right to hit me. What I did was unforgivable" He bowed low, the kind of low bow that was given to royalty. I couldn't help but blush deeply. I took it as forgiveness, even though that's entirely not what it was for.

We then walked and talked for a little while. At first he was hesitant to talk to me because of the severe warnings from Aunt Hazel, but he was soon chatting freely.

I liked the sound of his voice, the way he talked about nature, his posture...I then realised I wasn't acting like a spoiled princess, but an in love teenager!

This was not going to happen!

After a little more talking I realised it was too late, I was in love with Jay.
