My name is Akhona Thwala aged 27. I was born......no, pardon
me, I wasn't born instead I fell from above or should I say
from hell? I have a younger sister who is 18, her name is
Asanda Thwala. I don't know how is this possible but yeah,
we share a damn surname and blood too. Let me stop here
with the introductions, I'm not good at them neither will I ever
be. If there's something I'm good at, operating and examining
patients is what I do best.
"Good morning ma'am. I brought you coffee." Sizwe my chef
says.
"I don't feel like it, today. I will grab something during lunch
time. Thanks anyway." I say without even looking at him.
"Ma'am, I think—–"
"Since when do you use your brains? Get the hell out of my
room!" I yell at him, he turns and leaves.
I'm tired of everyone trying to do the thinking for me. I have
my own brains, I will use them when needed but for now, I'm
good. I'm busy packing my things when Asanda knocks at my
door............
POINTS TO TAKE WITH INTO THE STORY.
*MONEY
It is said to be the root of all evil. But is it that bad? We all need money
to survive on a daily basis, life without even a small amount of money is a
struggle. We can work and earn money to survive and to become rich. Being
rich and having lots of money is not a sin but killing innocent souls and
engaging in rituals is a SIN.
*ANGER, PAIN AND HATRED.
All the three are not good for anyone planning to live a long and healthy
life. It's okay to be angry but you don't have to stay angry for a long time.
Anger and hatred eat you inside, you end up becoming like that very same
person you hate the most because that person is always on your mind. Letting
go of your anger and pain is the best thing to do, it liberates your soul and you
can live a happy life without holding grudges. Pain is inevitable, at some point
in time we all go through pain. It's always advisable to deal with your pain, cry
if you feel like, seek help and comfort from friends, family and professionals.
Don't let your pain, anger and hatred determine your actions and reactions.
*FORGIVENESS
Forgiving someone or forgiving yourself is the first step to kickstart your
healing process. Keep a pure heart, don't hold grudges, forgive and move on.
What happened cannot be erased but you can change your future by starting
afresh on a clean slate.
*Genophobia/Coitophia.
It's normal for every sexual abuse victim to have a physical or
psychological fear of sexual intercourse. Just the thought of it can cause many
problems like panic attacks, external or internal bleeding. Seek professional
help to overcome the fear.
************
To all the victims of violence and sexual abuse, I empathize with you. May
you all find it in your hearts of hearts to forgive and forget the past with the
help of professionals. May the good God heal your broken souls and restore
all that you lost. I love you all!!!!
WRITTEN BY MY EDITOR, GLENDA
Anger, pain, anguish, helplessness, tears, heartbreaks, bloodshed, love. The
book is a fusion of both pain and love. Akhona is an epitome of women who
stand for what they believe in, fight for those they love. Sizwe is an example
of unconditional love.
Money, power, indecisiveness, heartlessness Mrs. Thwala is a disgrace to
womanhood. The kind that would give up everything for money. Mr. Thwala
the man who sold his soul for the love of money at the advice of an uncle.
Bloodshed, Aphiwe was spiritually dead from the day her Mr. Thwala raped
her only her natural death came when she was hanged by her mother and
father.
Denial, forgiveness, Asanda had mixed feelings could not believe the parents
who were so loving were murderers only forgiveness could bring her new life.
"Suku brings feelings of anger, hatred, sadness, love and forgiveness in the
reader. Brings to light issues of the abuse of women and how women are
the perpetrators of women abuse and also that it is also women who can
emancipate other women".
