Marinette shivered, her lips quivering as her teeth slightly chattered. Despite being buried within the fluffy blankets and silk sheets, her skin felt cold as ice. Her fingernails traced the sides of her arms as she rubbed her skin, attempting to feel warmer.
Marinette gasped, her eyes widening as she could feel the rumbling of thunder. She immediately pulled the covers over her, head as she hid underneath the blankets like a scared little kid.
She seemed a bit panicked, scared as to what was going to happen next. She gasped as the thunder rumbled once more, as if getting ready to make the loudest strike of thunder ever before.
She squeezed her eyes shut as she backed against the bed board and cradled herself. Placing her head between her knees, she shivered as the thunder stroke again. Then there was a moment of silence, and she didn't know what to expect next.
BANG
It stroke again, she shrieked as she heard Adrien turn around in bed, as he furrowed a brow in curiosity. "What's wrong?" He asked, his soft and concerned voice made her feel a little better.
"S-sorry. I-i hate thunder..." She admitted, closing her eyes. She felt embarrassed, pathetic even. There was a long pause as she could hear the rain pitter patter against the roof and windows.
The lighting struck as she could see the shadow against the wall. "Hey..." Her lips parted slightly as she looked at Adrien, a small smile formed across his lips as he patted the spot next to him.
"It'll be okay. It's just a little thunder." He encouraged, Marinette nodded slightly, hesitantly crawling closer to him. A small gasp escaped his lips as he felt her skin.
"Marinette, you're freezing." He spoke to his spouse, as he lifted the covers over the two. He could hear her teeth slightly chatter as he immediately wrapped his arms around her, spooning her.
A small blush crept across Marinette's cheeks as he felt so warm. And she felt so cold. She turned around and pulled him closer, placing her hands on his chest as he could feel her breath across his skin.
Adrien kept his body pressed against hers, knowing she needed the warmth. He somehow felt sympathetic towards her. When he was about eight, before his mother died, she would always hold him during thunder storms.
She would always calm him down, and he felt safe with her. He wanted Marinette to feel safe with him. And it was that moment that he decided to let her in, as she began to feel warmer, her toes curling as small whimpers escaped her lips.
A small smile curved on his lips, she was cute. "Shh, It's okay Marinette..." He whispered, trying to sooth her as her grip on him tightened. "Your safe." He encouraged. Marinette relaxed as she looked up from his chest.
Her eyes looking into his and she felt she was lost in a forest of emerald green. His eyes were so beautiful, so serene. She could feel the heat rise to her cheeks and throughout her body.
"A-adrien..."
"It's okay Marinette... You're alright." He smiled at her before he cuddled her. Placing a leg inbetween hers as she held onto him, her fingers running down his back as they led to the nape of his neck, playing with the soft golden locks of his hair.
And for a brief moment, Marinette felt happy. She felt like they were a real couple, maybe there was hope in this Marriage after all. A loveless marriage didn't sound too appealing to her after all.
She was lost in his warmth, lost in his serenity. She felt completely and utterly safe with him. Her eyes fluttered closed as she relaxed, a small smile tugging on her lips before she fell asleep.

Adrien's eyes slowly opened as he felt the warm sun gleam across his back. Why did he feel so... Warm? He couldn't explain the feeling, that is... Until he realized the small petite body pressed against him.
He smiled longingly at his wife, as he felt her smile against his skin. She was warm unlike the night before, as he could feel his heart race.
The couple had completely abandoned the blankets and sheets. As they were subsided along the lining of the bed. He chuckled a little to himself, pulling her closer as he snuggled with her, the scent of her lavender shampoo and strawberry lotion sending his nose to utter bliss.
Their legs were intertwined, her hands pressed against his chest as his chin was placed on top of her head. It wasn't until then he realized she had also ditched her pajama pants and fled free in her laced vanilla bean panties.
Her skin felt extraordinary against his, he wished they could stay like this forever, buried in each other's arms. The blush painted his skin as he realized that he had began to covet her.
He could suddenly feel her long eyelashes flutter against his skin. His cheeks blooming with a rosy red as she looked up at him, her smooth pink lips were parted, exposing her front purely white teeth.
Her freckles aligned the sides of her flushed cheeks as her dark long eyelashes outlined her Crystal Blue bell eyes. The sun highlighting the side of her jaw as her midnight locks of hair framed her face perfectly.
Adrien smiled, "I'm going to make you breakfast." He decided.
Getting up from bed, he ruffled his hair before yawning and stretching his arms. A blush coated her cheeks as he stretched, her eyes glossing over his god-like body.
She didn't even care when she realized that she had took off her pajama and that were tossed carelessly on the floor. She suddenly shrieked as she felt Adrien's warm hands cup beneath her thighs and under her back.
Picking her up with ease, she was as light as a feather. He carried her downstairs and to the living room with a view of the kitchen. He set her on the sofa and went back to the counter, cracking his knuckles.
