INT. ETIQUETTE CLASS – DAY
Ms. Sarah holds her cup of tea in the air sitting on a garish chair.
MS. SARAH
Teacups up!
Merida sits at a table with other ladies in training wearing a wimple, her teacup hovering miserably in the air.
MS. SARAH
Pinkies out.
She demonstrates and takes a sip of her tea.
Merida pokes out her pinkie. A coil of her hair pops out of her wimple.
INT. HALLWAY – DAY
Merida walks down a hall of windows overlooking a garden, feeling lousy and uncomfortable. PETER PAN appears outside the window and notices Merida. He mimics her. She notices him, stops, and turns to face him. He turns to face her.
MERIDA
Would you cut it out!
He continues copying her every move. Merida makes faces at him. He pulls the same face then stops...He looks behind her, slowly backs away, terrified.
MERIDA
What is it?
She jumps around. There's nothing there. She turns back to Peter who's rolling around on the ground in a laughing fit.
MERIDA (CONT'D)
Ha, ha. Very funny.
She rolls her eyes and notices the sports equipment closet.
INT. SPORTS EQUIPMENT CLOSET – DAY
Merida walks inside, enchanted by the abundance of dull, game-friendly Gauntlet sporting weapons. There's a collection of swords tucked in their sheaths, a wall of formidable shields, an intimidating display of axes and spiked morning stars. Then something catches Merida's eyes. She moves toward a row of magnificent bows and arrows. She reaches out to touch a bow--
The school bell chimes. She takes her hand away and sadly slips back out of the room.
