"Melanie, wake up we gotta go to church!!!!", my mom yelled. "OK!", I yelled, I got up and took a shower. I saw a text from Billie. "I got to the church nearby my house", I replied. "Why you asking? 😂", I also replied back.
"I'm tryna pull up and learn a few things", she replied. "Yeah, but your emo and shit", I said confused. "What's so wrong with that?😐", she replied. "Nothing, well I gotta get ready", I replied.
I wanted to look very good today. I'm not about to dress like a slut. We're obviously going to a church and shit. I just wanted to look good for Billie, if she was gonna come. She never saw me in a fancy dress. So I had to dress good for my baby.
The church service was going very good. The pastor was talking about how we shouldn't take God's love for attention. "Hey baby, I gotta tell you something after", Billie whispered as she sat next down next to me.
"What're you wearing you look like you're going to a KKK meeting?!", I whispered as I sized her. "Shhh!", my mom said as she leaned to us and covered her mouth. She was wearing a necklace that had just upside down crosses. She also was all in black like she was going to a meeting. (imagine her wearing the capital fm clothes like radio interview when she was talking about sparkling water)
"Hey, my family isn't religious, I wanted to look good", she said as she pointed. "But no shit, we gotta talk later", she said as she holds my hand and gave me another kiss. "SHH!", my mom said but louder than last time. "We're at a church not a demon cult!", I said angrily.
"And?", she said as she scoffed. Ooh you don't know how badly I wanted to slap her. "You're outfit is inappropriate and besides they're gonna know we're dating", I said sighing. "I don't see the problem", she replied as she pulled out her phone.
"We're at a Christan church, anything that's not straight isn't allowed and, you're disrespecting the church wearing that!", I said as I took her phone. "Just give me a break Mel, I'll make you feel better later", she said as she winked at me. Fuck, I think I just wet my pants
"SHHHHH!", she yelled even louder, everyone that was were we we're sitting looked at us. "What?!", she said as she looked at everyone. "You need to get your mom shit", Billie said laughing, I punched her shoulder.
The church didn't end until another hour, Billie ended up sleeping on top of me. I didn't want to wake her up she looked so cute. "Billie wake up!", I said as the church ended. Everyone was leaving. My mom decided to talk to the pastor's about some stuff.
"Ugh, what happened?", she said as she got up and looked half asleep. "Oh hey babe", she said and she kissed my cheek. "Billie!!", I yelled as I looked at her mad. "What's wrong baby?", she asked. "You can't call me that here!", I said.
"Sorry I forgot", she said as she got up. "Melanie come her!!, and bring Billie!", my mom said directing me. Me and Billie just looked at each other worried.
"This is my daughter Melanie and her friend Billie", she said as she coughed at the last part, she of course knew about out relationship.
"Nice to meet you girls", he said as he smiled. "Oh um...", he said as he looked at Billie's necklace. "Oh um, I started to tell her about Jesus so she's not familiar of what to wear and stuff", I said as I rubbed my neck. "Oh ok, that's good you wanna do that a lot, and you should get baptized", he replied.
"Yeah, I was thinking about doing that", she answered nervously.
