The morning came and for once I felt out of place.
I woke up in an unknown room with my head pounding.
I didn't remember much of last night, just that I shared drinks with Ares and then..
..
My heart began to race as I lifted the covers to find myself dressed.
I blinked a few times.
Oh.
For some reason I felt relieved, but at the same time disappointed.
So nothing happened between us.
I guess that's good.

I crawled out of the bed as I looked at the note on the door.
["Rocky I sent your clothes to the cleaners, they should be finished later this evening, in the meantime the clothes you are wearing will be the ones you hold onto for the time being."]-Ares.

I stared at the note before taking in the clothes I was wearing now.
They were just plain black basketball shorts with a white lion on the right leg, while the shirt was cloudy gray with nothing on it.
So did this guy end up changing me?
I felt my face burn over how embarrassed I was beginning to feel.
Just how drunk did I actually get last night?

I walked out of the room with my shoes as I looked around for what could possibly be the exit.
This place felt like a maze.
There were doors around every corner as well as windows.
How could someone live in this without at least getting lost once or twice?
I'd get lost daily if I lived here.
That's how scattered brain I can be at times like this.
But still.
I walked towards the staircase as I trusted my gut and walked down them.

I could hear distant chatter near the back as well as the smell of food cooking.
Bacon.
I felt my stomach growl at the very thought of food as I made my way in that direction.
I didn't walk all the way in as I came to a stop after hearing more voices inside the room.

"Is he still asleep?" I heard someone question.
"I checked an hour ago but then again the kid did drink pretty heavy with you last night, Ares." A second voice pointed out.
My face burned as I stood there in silence.
"If he wants to sleep all day that's his choice, either way I'll have Callum bring him home later." Ares spoke now.
"What even made you bring him here? I mean no offense, but you two haven't talked in years and not to mention. You two were avoiding each other for the longest after that blow up with Jordan--speaking of him, isn't he still in prison?" The first guy questioned.

I finally stepped out as Ares eyes met mine.
"Oh Rocky, good morning." He smirked as I rubbed my upper arm feeling awkward.
"Morning." I looked to the two guys and actually forgot that it was Patrick and Anthony that worked here for Ares.
It was still weird to know.
Ares's eyes remained on me.
"Are you hungry?" He asked me.
I looked at him.
"For a headache pill." I told him.
He smirked walking over to a cabinet before pulling out a small white bottle of pills.
He came over to me as he popped two pills in my hand.

"Do you remember much of last night?" He asked me.
I stared at him as I put the pills in my mouth taking the offered water from him before swallowing.
"No, I just remember coming here and us drinking. I don't remember anything after that except," my eyes fell on my clothes.
"What happened to my clothes?" I questioned.
He blinked but smirked.
"Let's just say you were a mess last night and that nothing agreed with your stomach around one this morning." He told me.

My face grew warm.
"Oh.. sorry." I rubbed my neck as Ares arched a brow but smirked softly.
"Lets get you something to eat and then I'll have Callum bring you home, what time do you go in today?" He asked walking me over to the table.
"Six." I answered taking a seat as well as another drink of the cold water.
He nodded.
"So either I can have Callum bring you your clothes at the club, or he can bring them by your house later. Its whatever you want." He shrugged.
I looked at him.
"I can stop by the cleaners on my way to work, its not a problem." I told him.

He looked at me.
"Very well, am I still picking you up tomorrow evening?" He asked.
I blinked but nodded.
"Yeah if you still want to catch up, I don't think we really got around to doing that last night." I murmured as Anthony placed the plate in front of me.
Scrambled eggs, two pieces of bacon and toast.
It looked great.

Ares smirked sitting across from me.
"No we didn't, it was more or less just seeing who could toss back the most shots. For someone who works at a club, you can't handle your alcohol that much." He pointed out.
My face grew warm.
"That's because I don't drink that much." I argued slowly losing my appetite.
Ares looked at me.
"So then, what made you drink as heavy as you did last night?" He questioned.
I frowned.
"To have a good time I guess? I could of sworn that's what we were doing, but then again I really don't know what happened last night." I said now.

Ares arched a brow.
"Don't let your mind wander too much, nothing happened." He told me.
I looked at him as the air in the room fell thick.
"Oh I'm sure, otherwise I'd remember." I said getting up now.
All three of them were looking at me as Ares frowned.
"You need to eat-"
"I lost my appetite." I stated walking out of the dinning room.

I made it to the door without realizing Ares was right on my heel's.
"What's your problem? We were just talking-"
I came to a stop as I turned and glared.
"No, you just made me look like a damn slut in front of your fucking lackeys you jackass. I mean I know I can be a slut, but pointing me out like that? No thanks." I ripped the door open that lead outside.
"Rocky, don't be a brat I was kidding." He told me.
"Eat a dick, Ares." I told him flipping the other off as I stormed down the staircase out to the car where Callum had been waiting.

The ride home was quiet which gave me time to actually think.
My head was still killing me but I knew after I actually ate, showered and napped a little.
I'd feel better before work..

"Thank you, Callum." I said to the brunet who nodded before driving off away from the apartments.
I ran a hand through my hair as I walked up the stairs to what I called home.
----
"Holy fucking shit, there you are!" Ariana threw herself at me as I made a face.
"Here I am?" I looked at her confused.
She looked at me.
"Ash came home with some guy last night and when I asked him where you were, he shrugged and went to his room." She explained.
I groaned.
"I was at Ares house last night." I told her.
She blinked.
"Oh shit?" She went to smile but decided against it based on my expression.
"Nothing happened, not to mention he basically called me out on being a slut this morning." I told her frowning.

She frowned now.
"What the hell? Rocky are you sure you understood him correctly?" She asked.
"I don't fucking know Ari, all I do know is I can't remember shit from last night but he swears we didn't have sex." I walked over to the fridge with a frown.
"We need groceries." I commented now looking inside the bare fridge.

She bit her lip leaning against the wall.
"I'll go in a bit once Milo gets out of the shower, but are you okay babe?" She asked me.
I shrugged grabbing a thing of ramen.
I know that wasn't a breakfast food, but we literally had nothing for breakfast.
So this had to do.

"I have to be, its not like I care if we actually see each other again after today." I lied turning the pot of water on to boil.
She frowned softly but chose not to continue the subject before disappearing into the living room.
I stared at the pot of water for the longest as I frowned.
Why was he even trying to get a reaction out of me?
Did something happen last night and he was just being quiet about it?

I tore the packet open before placing the ramen in the water watching it boil with the water before turning the stove down.
This was going to bother me.
I knew it was.

I took a seat with the hot meal before forcing it down.
I felt nauseous and I knew if I didn't eat, I'd only end up dry heaving and everyone knew that wasn't fun.
It sucked, so if it means this is fixing to come back up.
Then so be it.
----
I stood in the bathroom for the longest time before finally undressing and tossing the borrowed clothes aside.
I turned the water on as I waited for it to get hot enough to step into.
I was already going to hell, might as well practice on how it'll feel.

I leaned my head back feeling alone.
I usually showered with Ashby but he was still knocked out from last night I guess.
I guess showering alone every once in a while wasn't so bad.
It was actually kind of peaceful the more I thought about it.
My mind kept falling on last night and it was irritating me.
Just what happened that made Ares make those comments?
Did I actually try something and he shot me down?
If we did go out tomorrow the only choice I was left with was to confront him.
It's not like Patrick or Anthony will hovering over us like this morning.

That was also bothering me.
They were talking about Jordan and prison?
Last time I heard anything about that nutcase, it was back at the camp when he got arrested for trying to make Katie a prostitute.
I frowned deeply as the thoughts poured in.
That day was like an endless loop stuck on replay.

I stepped out of the shower and walked into my room pulling out my phone.
I went to the internet before typing in his name.
'Jordan Mendes, prison.'
A lot of results came up as I took a seat on my bed frowning.
He was actually arrested more than once.
I clicked on an article that read about the most recent news about him.

"Jordan Mendes, age twenty six. Arrested and charged for voluntary man slaughter on November ninth." I felt chills race through me.
That was a week ago.
Who did he kill?
I scrolled down with an arched brow.
"Clive Solomon, age twenty four was found dead inside his apartment with his face bashed in as well as his ribs and left arm broken, his lungs were punctured which lead to his death minutes after his ribs were broke." I rubbed the side of my neck frowning deeply at this.

I went to my contacts for dialing Casey's number.
In seconds the other answered.

{"Rocky?"} He questioned on the other end.
"Yeah hey, Cas. Hey, did you hear about your crazy ass ex going to prison?" I questioned.
{".."}
{"Yeah it was on the news a week ago, how are you just hearing about this?"} He asked me.
I laid back on the bed.
"I was over at Ares and I heard him and his friends talking about it, but they didn't go into detail over it because I walked in." I told him.
{"You were at Ares house? I wasn't aware you were seeing him again."} I could feel this guy grinning.
I smirked softly.
"He more or less came out of nowhere, but back to the subject I know you hate to talk about, but wasn't Clive a camper?" I asked.

{"He was yeah, he was always around Cruz's brother Joel."}
He told me.
I frowned now.
"Did the news or anyone explain why he killed Clive?" I questioned.
{"I'm not sure actually, then again Jordan was already a fucking psycho. Clive could of looked at him wrong during a recent run in or something, why are you reading into this all of a sudden?"} He asked me.
"I was curious." I shrugged even though he couldn't see it.

{"Oh, well anyway. How about we get back on that Ares subject?"} He grinned into the phone.
I rolled my eyes turning over on my side.
"There's not much of a subject to be honest with you, Cas. He showed up the same night you guys did and asked me to hang out Tuesday for us to catch up." I nibbled my lip.
"Which last night we actually met up and had a few drinks, but that's as far as it went." I added.
{"You make it sound like you were expecting more."} Casey pointed out.
"I mean kinda? But I don't really remember much of last night, just that we went back to his house and drank before I blacked out. He told me we didn't have sex, but I feel like I still tried something.." I frowned.
{"What makes you say that?"} He questioned.
"He called me out on being a slut this morning." I frowned deeply into the phone.
{"Yikes Rocky, maybe you two should talk and see what actually happened? I mean something did if he actually called you on being that."} He told me.

I lied there before seeing my bedroom door pushing open to reveal Ash.
He walked over crawling into the bed with me before resting his head on my chest.
"Who are you talking to?" He questioned quietly.
"Casey." I whispered.

"Yeah but anyway Casey, I'm going to take a small nap before work. I'll talk to you later." I told him.
{"Alright Rocky, don't let it bring you down. I'm sure once you two talk, you'll feel better."} He told me.
I bit my gum.
"Alright." I said before ending the call.

"What was that about?" Ash questioned not moving as I shifted under him.
"Nothing really, just talking about Casey's ex who went to prison for murder." I told him.
Ashby blinked.
"Shit." He smirked softly.
"Apparently he wasn't smart enough to get away with it." He said.
"Would you be?" I dared to question.
Ash shrugged.
"I don't know because I don't see myself in that position where I'd want to kill someone." He trailed his finger down my chest as I frowned softly.

"How was your night with that Quinn guy?" I asked him.
"Eh." He frowned looking at me.
"He may of had a cute face but he definitely needs practice when it comes to sex." He told me.
I smirked softly.
"That poor guy." I sighed.
Ash bit his lip.
"Poor him? How about poor me? I brought that guy here thinking I was going to be lucky, but he came within the first few seconds of just having his dick massaged." He sighed heavily.
"A total let down, but I let the guy crash here. He actually just left." He said now.

I smiled softly.
"Maybe you should talk to Jacob?" I suggested.
Ash smirked.
"Its tempting." He sat up before crawling on top of me straddling my hips.
"But I'd rather just have sex with you, I mean you never disappoint me." He smirked looking at me.
I arched a brow.
"I'm relieved to know I don't disappoint you." I stated as he grinned before grinding against me.
"So? How about it?" He smirked deviously.

I looked up at the other.
"Is there a day where you don't think about sex?" I asked him.
He thought for a moment before smirking.
"Only on Tuesdays." He said sliding his hands under my shirt before pinching my nipples.
I bit my lip.
"Why Tuesdays?" I smirked now.
"Taco Tuesday." He answered kissing my jaw then lips.

I smiled softly.
"If we weren't sex buddies, I may of ended up crushing hard on you by now." I smirked as he pulled my shorts down.
"I'm flattered but we both agreed that dating was not an ideal for either of us." He brought his hand to my dick before licking his lips taking me into his mouth as I flinched with a shiver.
"Oh.." I bit my lip as he smirked softly.
"Will it ever be an ideal for you?" I asked him now.
He arched a brow removing his lips from me.
"What's bringing this on? You're being sensitive." He looked at me with a frown.

I looked at the other.
"Its nothing-"
"Don't lie." He sat up now as he looked at me with his full attention.
I bit my lip.
"Its Ares." I frowned as he made a face.
"What happened with that? Didn't you two drink last night?" He asked.
I nodded.
"And then we went to his house just to drink again and I blacked out, we didn't do anything but this morning he called me out on being a slut." I told him.
He glared softly.
"What the fuck? Who does that bastard think he is?" He placed of his hands on both sides of my face.
"You are not just a slut, Rocky." He looked at me.
"You are the slut, and if that guy has an issue with your sexy ass trying to get lucky? Then drop him and be done with it." He told me.

I smiled softly.
"Thanks, Ash." I looked at him as he smirked.
"I got you babe." He pressed his lips to mine as he removed his own shorts.

I let out a quiet moan feeling him pressing into me.
"Oh yes." He smirked.
"This is much better and now my moods lifted, how about you?" He asked lacing his fingers with mine as he began to thrust.
I rolled my eyes but smirked softly.
"I do feel--ah." I covered my mouth as he licked his lips grinning.
"I love finding your spot because you make the cutest expressions as soon as I hit there." He bit his lip thrusting as I arched my back bucking my hips against him as he smirked softly.

"Comfort sex is the best." He confessed pressing his lips to mine.
----
"I really don't want to go in." Ashby complained in the shower as I ran shampoo through my hair.
"If you don't it just means less money." I told him.
"Oh shit and rents due this week." He groaned.
I nodded stepping out as I handed him his towel.
"Yeah so we can't exactly miss any days right now, no matter how much we don't want to go in." I smirked drying my hair.
"That's a massive upset." He confessed drying his hair as I wrapped the towel around my waist.
"Maybe next week we can take a day off and go actually do something? I mean its cold but there's always the lake and my uncle has that cabin." I suggested.

Ashby thought for a moment.
"It's tempting but we'll see." He smirked walking into his room to change as I walked into mine to do the same.
I still had to go to the cleaners to grab my clothes from last night.
I frowned softly grabbing my coat as I walked out of the room.

Ariana was at the table drinking coffee as her eyes fell on me.
"Do you go in early?" She asked.
I blinked.
"Oh no, I'm running to the cleaners and by time I get that done it should be time to go to work." I told her.
She arched a brow.
"Milo could drive you-"
"No that's fine, I want to walk for the fresh but cold air." I told her.
She made a face but nodded.
"If you get sick don't go crying to me about it." She shrugged.
I smirked softly.
"Okay mom." I grinned heading out before she could say anything else.

I walked down the street heading towards the cleaners with a sigh.
It was colder today than it was yesterday, I guess there was a temperature drop over the night.
I looked down at the address that Ares sent me as I frowned.
"It should be right around this corner." I spoke quietly before walking around the corner and sure enough.
It wasn't.

I let out an irritated groan.
"Lost?" I turned to an unfamiliar voice.
This guy who looked like he was around my age stood at the stop sign with a curious smile.
"More or less trying to find the cleaners." I confessed.
The brunet arched a brow as he walked over and looked at the address.
"Oh! That's around the next corner, the GPS is very misleading when it comes to the old address. They moved like three months ago?" He smiled.
I blinked but smirked.
"That explains it, thank you for your help. I'd probably end up lost if people like you didn't exist." I laughed.
He grinned.
"Any time." He said walking towards a large building.
I looked up at it and felt my stomach twist.
Avalon.

I walked around the corner and was relieved that the guy wasn't pulling my leg over this before I walked into the building that smelled like soap and mint.
It was a very weird mix but not much of a complaint.

"Oh hello there!" An older woman with blonde hair greeted with a wrinkled smile.
I smiled softly.
"Hello, I'm here to pick up some clothes. The name should either be under Rocky Sharp or Ares Landry." I told her.
She looked at the paper then to the clock.
"Just on time too," she smiled.
"They just finished a moment ago, I'll go get them for you." She told me.
I nodded as the woman disappeared into the back.

I stood there for a few minutes before she returned.
"How much was it?" I asked going for my wallet as she shook her head.
"The man that came here with your clothes already paid for you dear, so you're good to go." She smiled.
I made a face.
"He paid?" I made sure I heard her correctly.
She nodded.
"Around noon today he came in and paid, a handsome fella with blond hair in a suit." She told me.
I frowned but forced a smile for her.
"Thank you." I said heading out of the cleaners.

I pulled out my phone going to the contacts and pulled up Ares before messaging the other.
[Me]: You didn't have to pay for my clothes, I could of done it.
[Ares]: Is that how we say thank you now?
I blushed.
[Me]: Thank you, but seriously I could of paid for my clothes.
[Ares]: Consider it an apology for offending you this morning.
I stopped walking as I frowned.
[Me]: Apology accepted.
[Ares]: Was that all you needed? I'm in the middle of a meeting.
I stared at the text.
[Me]: It was, sorry for bothering you. It won't happen again.

I shoved my phone in my pocket as I glared softly at the sidewalk as I made my way to Bounce.
----
Work was slow for once as I stayed in the back with Gavin and Sam who were both waiting for Darby to come in to give us something to do.
I mean I wasn't that clueless but sometimes randomly getting on tables can get you in trouble.
And I wasn't in the mood to get scolded.

"So, I'm thinking about quitting Bounce." Sam spoke up.
We both looked to the brunet who was staring at the floor with a frown.
"Did something better come up?" Gavin asked him.
Sam glanced to the other.
"I got offered a job at the school here as a counselor, I don't know if I should take it-"
"You should." I told him.
Sam looked at me.
"You think so?" He questioned.
I smirked softly.
"I do, if something like that is offered that could be better than this, you should take it while its offered to you." I told the other.

Sam nibbled his lip.
"I'll consider it." He frowned now.
"I've just worked at Bounce for three years now, so its kind of like throwing this place away." He rubbed his neck.
"I mean I'd like to help kids out with their problems, I have two younger siblings who always need a listening ear, but at the same time I like everyone I work with here. I'd only have to start all over again if I went somewhere new." He pointed out.

I thought for a moment but he made valid points.
He would have to start over and readjust to a new environment.
"When you go home tonight, make a list of pros and cons. And which ever out weighs the other, is your answer over what you should do." I said now.

Gavin nodded in agreement.
"It's a smart idea." He agreed.
I smirked as Sam nibbled his lip but nodded.
"Alright." He smiled softly.

I walked out into the front as I looked around for Ash who was missing.
Just as I went to move, I was met with a chest.
"Shit, sorry sir-"
I looked up but felt my chest grow tight.

"It won't happen again?" Ares stared down at me with an arched brow as he showed me our texts.
"Please don't tell me you came here just to question that." I said going to move past him but he stopped me.
"What won't happen again, Rocky?" He asked me.
I arched a brow now.
"Bothering you during your oh so important meetings, obviously." I placed a hand on my hip with a frown.
He frowned at that.
"I already apologized so what is with your attitude towards me?" He asked me.
"How about the fact you had an attitude with me messaging you-"
"I was in a fucking meeting, Rocky. Something pretty damn important." He growled now.

"Oh? How important?"
Stop.
"Important enough that could cause people to lose their jobs." He told me.
"So what you have enough power that can keep that from happening?"
Stop arguing.
Tell him you're sorry and go on with your night.
It won't end well for either of you if you keep this up.

"I do," he looked around.
"This place was actually on the list to be shut down, were you aware that you've been selling alcohol to minors?" He asked me.
"It's not my job to keep tabs-"
"Oh no you're right, I'm sorry I forgot you just dance for people and show them a good time." He stated bitterly.

"What's your fucking problem with my job now? What the fuck did I do that you have to keep pointing out the fact that I'm some god damn slut?" I demanded.
"Try acting like a fucking bitch in heat." He glared at me.
"I'm not some random guy on the street where you ride his cock for a few minutes then toss him aside like trash, your fucking life may have fell apart for you to end up here. But at least I made something of myself where I help people, all you do is help them come." He spat.

I stood there with my face burning.
"That's how you truly feel?" I asked him as I tried to force the tears to vanish but the truth hurt more than I thought it would, when it was coming from this guy.
He was glaring before realizing what he just said to me.
"Wait, Rocky-"
"No," I laughed flipping him off.
"Fuck you, I'm done waiting." I stated heading towards the bathroom to only have him right back on my heels.

"Rocky-"
"Don't you fucking touch me!" I screamed at him as he stood there trying to control his breathing.
"I went over the line-"
"No fucking shit, get your whiskey and get the fuck out. And as for this place being shut down? We will find a way to keep that from happening." I glared at him with tears in my eyes.
"I can only handle so much fucking bullshit from Paul and occasionally Nate who like to point out how much of a fuck up I became by working here, but for you to point it out like that? No. Fuck you." I spat bitterly heading to the sink but came to a stop as he grabbed my wrist.

"Let go! You piece of shit." I yelled at him as he brought me into an embrace.
"I'm sorry." He whispered now.
"No you're not, you fucking liar. I fucking hate you." I cried into him as I tried to push the other off but he held me still.
"Stop it." He told me now.
"No! Ares leave, get the fuck out and leave." I demanded but my voice broke.
Stop touching me.
After everything you just said.
I don't need this.
I didn't need to break down.
Not now.
I don't need you.

"Calm down." He told me softly not moving as I trembled against him.
The tears burned as they fell.
"I'm sorry, I really was out of line out there. I just got caught up in the moment." He spoke quietly as I leaned against him.
"Do you really hate me?" He asked as I sniffled shaking my head.
He smirked softly.
"Even if you had said yes, I wouldn't of believed you. You're a terrible liar, Rocky." He told me.

"Fuck you." I hissed looking at him.
His eyes darkened a bit but he ignored it with a small smirk.
"Your mouth really has gotten worse over the years." He told me.
I glared softly with my face burning.
"You gonna complain and call me out on that as well?" I demanded.
He studied me for a moment but smirked softly.
"Not quite." He told me and before I could respond.

His lips pressed to mine as he backed me up to the wall, his leg slipping between mine as his tongue slid into my mouth battling his tongue against mine.
I moaned against him as his fingers brushed through my hair.

This was real dangerous.
And I mean real dangerous.
I couldn't fall for this guy.
Not again.
But part of me disagreed.

That part of me wanted to fall in love with him.
All over again.
Just to see if he'd break my heart.
Or win it completely over.

I guess we will find out.
Won't we?
