"What do you mean you can't cook?" I arched a brow at the other who looked more irritated now as I tried not to tease him.
If a temper was rising, that was the last thing anyone needed.
"I mean I can only cook breakfast, I'm not that great at cooking other food." Ares hissed.
I nibbled my lip as he glared softly at me.
Josie and Chelsea grinned at this.
"We're going to ignore the fact you want us to help based on us being girls and for you thinking we belong in there-"
"I never said that-"
Josie raised her hand to him looking at the other with an arched brow.
"If you didn't think that, you wouldn't of requested for just me and Chelsea." She smirked.
"But it's fine." She looked to Chelsea who nodded.
"Yeah, based on how the house smelt just walking in made me want to take over." She laughed walking towards the kitchen with Jamie in tow who didn't complain.
I sat in the wheelchair with a frown glaring softly at my leg, I can't believe this shit actually had to happen to me.
I crossed my arms sitting in the chair with a pout which caught no other than my boyfriends attention.
He smirked softly.
"Are you really pouting?" He came over kneeling in front of me.
"Yes I'm pouting! I want to walk around and be useful." I frowned at him.
Ares sighed before smirking as he leaned in pressing his lips to mine.
"It's just a few weeks and then you'll be good as new." He told me.
I frowned before arching a brow as he pushed me into the family room where the couch was.
He lifted me up and placed me on the couch.
"Just stay here and visit with your friends, maybe they'll keep you from pouting." He told me.
I made a face.
"What are you going to be doing?" I asked him.
He smirked softly.
"I may of asked the girls to cook, but I'll still play an activate part in the kitchen." He told me walking out of the family room.
Even though nothing changed.
I still continued to pout.
Paul looked around with a frown before his eyes fell on me.
"How are you okay with the fact both of those guys are under this roof?" He asked me.
I made a face.
"Are you referring to his family or Anthony and Patrick?" I questioned.
Paul frowned.
"Anthony and Patrick." He answered.
Ashby looked to us.
"Don't tell me you have a bad past with those guy too." He crossed his arms as I smirked softly at that.
"No, they were just your typical bullies but now they've gotten better. I mean I think they have?"
"Oh they have." I nearly jumped out of my skin looking over my shoulder to Alex who walked in with a glass of what I assumed was wine.
He grinned at us.
Devin was behind him as the two walked into the room before sitting down.
Alex smirked.
"I didn't ping you as the gossip type, Rocky." He said now.
I shrugged.
"It wasn't really gossip," I rubbed my neck as I looked at the blond.
"But back to what you just said, they've gotten better?" I questioned.
Alex looked to Devin who nodded.
"I mean Anthony was here before Patrick even showed up, I think Anthony and Ares lived together before I showed up." Alex shrugged.
"But then in popped our cousin and then Patrick showed up asking if he could live here, at first Pat and Ares were constantly bumping heads but then one day Pat said it had gotten old-"
"Wait, was this before or after you slept with him?" Devin smirked.
Alex blinked but then he grinned.
"After." He shrugged.
Devin rolled his eyes before looking at us.
"They've both changed from the time you guys knew them, I mean it has been six years." He told us.
I looked to Paul who didn't look convinced.
I smiled softly.
"People change Paul, and from the time I've lived here. I haven't seen the Anthony or Patrick we knew at that summer camp." I told him now.
He made a face but sighed.
"I'll take your word for it." He told me.
I cleared my throat.
"Anyway, so because I'm not sure if you guys have even met yet. This is Alex, Ares step brother and this is Devin his cousin." I introduced the two.
Hyde smirked at us.
"You have been missing for six days, but yes. We've met these guys, the day Ares called us actually." He said now as the two nodded.
"Ares called me to come home and Alex was already here." Devin told me.
I blinked but nodded.
"Well that's easier than I thought it'd be." I smirked.
"Well now that's out of the way," Devin grinned.
"I'd actually like to get to know everyone, if you're a friend of Rocky's. You're a friend of mine." He said now.
I blinked as Alex nodded with a smirk.
The guys all seemed to like their attitudes because soon enough we were all talking.
"So you're a vet?" Devin questioned.
Nate nodded as he relaxed into the couch.
"I've been a vet for two years now, it's fun but it has its sad moments too." He frowned.
I frowned at that as Devin looked at him then to Casey and Hyde.
"What about you two? I know these two are apart of the CCU so there's no need knowing." He smirked at Nash and Paul who looked offended but shrugged it off.
Casey smiled softly.
"I'm a teacher at Willow Park for sixth graders." He told them.
I made a face.
"I didn't know this?" I looked at him confused.
Casey looked to me.
"It's just a teachers job." He smirked.
"It's not very exciting, I just deal with brats all day." He grinned.
Hyde rolled his eyes.
"You guys complain about how its not exciting, its better than being a damn electrician." He complained now.
I blinked but smirked softly looking to Paul.
"What about your husband?" I questioned.
"He's a dentist." He told me with a smirk.
My eyes fell to the archway as Ares walked in.
"Just checking on you guys, mainly him." His eyes fell on me and I smirked softly.
"I'm fine, Ares." I told him.
He nodded as his eyes fell on the rest.
"It'll be done shortly." He told us walking out of the room as I sighed softly now.
Nate glanced to me before smirking.
"I'm honestly surprised you two got back together after all of this time." He said.
I looked to him, nibbling my lip with a small smile.
"I guess he had me more hooked than I originally thought." I confessed with a smirk.
Casey grinned at that.
"It's a good thing." He told me.
I nodded before I flinched.
"Shit! I need to talk to Ares." I hissed trying to get up as Paul got to his feet.
"Can it wait?" He questioned as I shook my head.
"No, I don't know if he knows and he needs too." I told him.
Paul frowned but nodded as he helped me in the wheelchair before wheeling me out of the family room.
We made it to the kitchen as I frowned.
"Ares." I called out to the other who was talking to Josie about something before he turned his attention to me.
"Rocky? I thought I told you to stay put." He frowned coming over to us.
My brows knitted as his expression fell.
"What is it?" He knelt down as I frowned at him.
"When is the last time you and Avery talked?" I questioned feeling my chest tightening.
Ares blinked before frowning.
"We haven't talked in some time now, why do you ask?"
Oh god.
Why was I the one who had to find out?
I wasn't good at breaking news to people.
Honestly this was probably the worst.
I stared at him before my eyes grew wet and he frowned.
He didn't even have to hear it from me.
He could tell.
"I see." He cleared his throat before smiling softly.
"I'll call his family later to give them my regards and in the next week or two I'll make a trip to the cemetery." He told me pressing his lips to mine.
"Thank you."
----
It wasn't long before we were called into the dinning room to eat.
It was simple and I'm kind of confused on how Ares couldn't manage to make pork chops on his own.
The guy can make stir fry just fine.
Then again Ariana was out there with him while he was cooking that.
So I guess the only thing he really could cook was pancakes.
"So we were going to wait until a later date." Josie began as she took a drink of her water, smiling to Nate who smiled now.
"But we found out the gender to our little ones." He said now.
My eyes grew wide as I looked at them.
"Oh shit." I grinned as Josie smiled looking down at her stomach.
"We're having boys." She told us.
Chelsea smiled at that.
"That's amazing you guys, have you decided on names?" She questioned.
Josie nodded with a smile.
"Tyler and Cody." She smiled at Nate who looked pleased about the names.
"They already sound like trouble." Paul smirked at Nate who smirked now.
"They will be if I'm their dad." He grinned.
Chelsea glanced to Hyde before looking at us.
"Well while we're sharing good news, I found out I'm pregnant." She announced.
Everyone's attention fell on Hyde who paused eating before he looked at us.
"Oh yeah, we were going to tell you guys later about this." He told us.
I made a face at how unexcited he looked not to mention sounded.
Chelsea didn't even notice as Josie and Jamie began to talk to her about the pregnancy.
"Hyde." I called out to the other who blinked looking up from his plate.
I wheeled myself backwards before motioning him to follow me out of the dinning room.
"What's up Rocky?"
"Why don't you look excited that you're going to be a dad?" I questioned.
He blinked but then frowned as he leaned against the wall.
His knee bent while he crossed his arms.
"I am excited to be a dad." This time he smiled and it looked real.
But I could still see that bothered look.
"Hyde." I looked up at him which was frustrating.
I hated feeling smaller than I was.
"We're best friends, you don't have to keep anything from me." I told him.
Hyde rubbed his neck before sighing.
"I guess I'm scared I'll turn out like my dad." He told me.
I blinked.
Then again I've been to his house twice and not once did I meet his dad or see any pictures of him hanging up.
His mom didn't even mention the guy.
"Well what was he like? I mean you never talk about him." I pointed out earning him to flinch.
He frowned deeply biting his lip.
"He was a drunk, abusive and neglectful. He was a monster to my mom and the moment they got into a fight and the cops were called, he ran." Hyde kicked his foot against the tiled floor"Hyde, I can guarantee for a fact you will not turn out anything like your old man. You're a loving guy not to mention you're supportive and the last person anyone would suspect being abusive." I told him.
He looked at me before smiling softly.
"Thanks, Rocky." He hugged me as I smiled softly.
"You're going to be a great dad, don't let your dads past define you. You'll do great and I'm sure your kids will love you." I said now.
He smiled softly.
"Hyde." We both looked over to Chelsea who came out looking concerned.
"Are you okay?" She grabbed his upper arm as she looked at him.
He looked to me then to her.
"I'll leave you two to talk." I smirked wheeling myself to the family room.
"Would anyone like a drink?" Devin offered.
The guys all nodded except for Josie who declined and asked for water.
Chelsea and Hyde returned and her eyes were wet but she was smiling as she holding onto Hyde's arm who's eyes met mine and he smiled.
They were okay.
That was good.
For the remainder of the night we all just talked and decided on movies.
Until it got late and everyone was getting ready to leave.
I really wanted to walk them out but as far as I could go was to the steps.
Which really fucking sucked.
"We'll talk to you tomorrow Rocky, remember to stay off your leg." Casey told me as I smirked softly.
"I'll try my best." I told them.
Nash smirked as they walked down the steps.
Paul and Jamie walked out next as they said their good night's before vanishing.
----
"Well I think tonight went well, don't you?" Ares questioned carrying me up the stairs to our room.
I sighed against him but smiled softly.
"I think so." I agreed as he pushed the bedroom door open.
Sleep sounded so damn nice.
But something that sounded nicer was feeling Ares against me.
No one was allowed to judge me.
I was away from this guy for six damn days and was tortured.
I'm allowed to feel needy.
I deserved at least that much.
He smirked softly sitting me down on the bed as I removed my shirt.
He arched a brow watching me.
"What are you doing?" He questioned amused.
I mimicked his expression with my brow also arched.
"Um I think we're about to have sex, aren't we?"
"Oh is that what's happening?" He smirked pushing me down on the bed as I grinned feeling his lips against mine.
"God I've missed you." He breathed against me as I smiled softly.
"I've missed you more." I told him as he removed his own shirt.
I bit my lip watching the other as he refused to take his eyes off me.
"Stop staring." I told him.
He pulled his jeans down before carefully helping me with mine.
"I can't help it, I'm worried you'll disappear again." He confessed with a shrug.
My heart skipped as I stared at him.
"I'm not going anywhere." I reassured him.
He smiled softly at that before pressing his fingers inside.
My back arched as I let out a quiet moan with a small shudder.
He smirked thrusting his fingers as I bit my lip trying to muffle the sounds, but I couldn't help it.
It felt good.
He felt great.
I moaned against him as he pressed himself against me now.
His fingers laced with mine as he began to thrust.
I felt my face burning as I moaned loudly.
Wishing I hadn't.
But it didn't bother Ares.
He loved teasing and embarrassing me.
This was something we were both used to already.
I just hated it when it was least expected.
He thrusted harder as I cried his name, clinging onto him as my nails dug into his shoulders.
The tears fell from both the pleasure and the pain of my aching body.
But I wouldn't tell him that.
"Rocky." Ares breathed against my lips as his eyes met mine.
I looked at him flushed.
"Marry me." He told me.
My heart came to a stop.
"What?"
