3rd person following Chan

Chan and Felix had been close since high school. They weren't in the same grade, but they hung out at a Cafe near their campus after school, and Chan helped him with homework whenever Felix needed it. They were so close.

The boys were like family. They spent more time together than they did apart. They hung out at each other's places for sleepovers, and their parents were so used to them being together, they sometimes forgot they weren't actually related. They were in each other's family photos and went on each other's family trips. They were completely inseparable.

In college they continued to be close. They were together all the time, after Felix had moved in with Chan and Woojin at the dorm. Altho they were in different majors, Chan still helped out where he could, even if he sometimes didn't feel like it. Like when Felix fell for the handsome guy Changbin and asked Chan for advise.

Because you see, Chan loved Felix. He had loved the angelic, freckled aussie from the moment he heard the younger laugh. The sound had melted his heart and crushed his resistance. Felix was the warmth that made him feel alive, the breath of air that made his tired existence seem better. He was the angel that brought Chan inspiration, and Chan would do anything for his sunshine.

So of course he would help Felix with anything, and Chan was friends with Changbin to begin with, so maybe it would be better than letting some stranger have Felix? He could spend time with the both of them right?

He let Felix hang out with him and Changbin more often, and saw the looks that the smaller guy gave Felix, and felt his heart squeeze with pain.

When they finally started dating, Chan smiled and congratulated them, before going home and curling up in his room crying his eyes out.

Whenever they went on dates, Felix would ask Chan for advice for outfits and what they should do. And once Felix was happy and had gone, Chan stayed behind and cried, wishing he could just disappear.

Having to help Felix plan anniversaries, birthdays and gifts for Changbin, broke Chan slowly. His only consolation was Felix's happy smile and that the younger aussie would kiss Chan's cheek and tell him how much he loved him and how thankful he was for everything Chan did.

When Felix and Changbin grew apart and broke up, Chan felt happier than ever. He could finally spend time with his friends without wanting to rip his heart out and throw it away. Not more than usually at least.

Chan had tried for years to make Felix notice his feelings, without saying them out loud in fear of rejection and ruining their friendship. He had always treated Felix specially, and everyone, but the boy in question, knew. Even Changbin had known how madly Chan was in love with Felix, but since he loved him too and actually had the balls to act on it, he did.

But Felix continued to be oblivious, maybe he didn't want to risk it either. Maybe he pretended to be oblivious so Chan wouldn't get hurt from Felix not feeling the same. Chan didn't know.

He did his best though. He'd take Felix out for "dates" and treat him extra special. He'd make sure Felix knew how much he cared, and he tried his best at flirting with him, but he just couldn't make Felix recognize his feelings.

One day Felix got a new boyfriend. His name was Hwang Hyunjin. He showered Felix in love and affection, just the same as Chan did, but Felix loved it.
