I just thought that this one would be Stozier

It was colder today than anything Stanley had ever felt, and his five year old brain was sure he was going to freeze to death. He had bundled up in a large coat and some mittens but the cold still crept in nipping at any exposed skin.

"Oh dear knight," he heard a voice call from the playground, "Please come and save me from the dragon!" this sentence was yelled dramatically, and followed by laughter. Stan laughed too, seeing his best friend draped over the railing. He was such a drama queen.

"Why do you get to be the princess? I wanna be the princess this time." Stan complained walking over to Richie who had now stood up and was skipping over to meet his knight.

"Oh Stanny boy you will always be my princess you don't have to worry about that! I just really like being the princess cuz it makes me feel pretty. You can be the princess though if you really want to!"

"Really?" Stan looked up hopefully, his puppy dog eyes gleaming in the sunlight making them sparkle. Richie sighed looking at his best friend and pulled him into a hug.

"Of course idiot!"

"My mama says not to call people idiots Rich. It's rude."

"Your mama's an idiot too then!"

"Hey no she's not, you're dumb."

"Stan you hurt my feelings." Richie pretended to be sad and turned his back to the taller boy dramatically, placing a hand on his heart.

"No wait Rich I- I didn't mean it don't be sad." Stan gasped and tried to grab at Richie's hand but Richie dodged him skillfully.

They continued to mess around until they got tired and lay down in the grass, feeling the cool breeze of the early afternoon. Richie loved days like this where he got to mess around with his best friend and forget about the mean older kids who called him names. When Stan called him names it made him smile, he knew it wasn't mean.

"Hey Rich?" Stan muttered, half asleep next to him, "can we be friends forever?"

"Forever and ever Stan the man, forever and ever."

They both drifted asleep and were woken up by the sound of their mothers frantically calling their names.
