I went back the house after leaving Harry in the bay. I didn't turn back throughout the walk. He wants to leave, not turning my back to him is a sign that I won't stop him. Even if he hates me.

"Freya, you okay?" Carmen asked as she opened the door, "Did you talk to Harry?"

"I did." I smiled weakly, "He said goodbye." I choked at the end as I realized that tears started rolling down my cheeks again.

"Oh Freya." Carmen said, hugging me. I then sobbed in her shoulder.

Three days after what happened, I tried to forget what happened by having fun in the neighborhood and savoring the stories of Jaime and Maria, have a girl talk with Carmen on the way to the convent, and laugh at Macoy and Tacoy's jokes as we go to the market. Sometimes, I would spend time alone.

Until I woke up one morning to the sound of an ambulance. I then went down to the living room to receive the most shocking news:

Jaime and Maria are hospitalized.

I then ran outside towards the ambulance, "Maria." I shouted for their names, "Jaime." I was supposed to enter the ambulance when a hospital staff stopped me.

"Ma'am kami na pong bahala. (Ma'am we'll take care of them)"

But I didn't pay attention. I saw both of them, unconscious. I gasped in shock. I then looked at the staff, "What?"

Then Carmen pulled me, "Its okay Freya. They'll take care of them in there. Get in the car, we'll follow the ambulance."

I then went in the car with Carmen and Macoy. Tacoy drove the car as fast as he can, matching the speed of the ambulance.

"What happened? Why were they unconscious?" I asked in panic.

Macoy answered, with eyes red with tears, "I tried waking them up for breakfast. But they're both not responding anymore. I... didn't know what to do. I'm sorry you guys."

Carmen hugged him, "It's not your fault Macoy."

I almost feel tears coming out of my eyes. They're not gonna die out. They're not gonna die out. I thought to myself, as we are approaching the hospital in Ormoc, I silently prayed that they're both okay. Maria and Jaime are dear to my heart. I am scared of losing both of them.
