All of us girls including Maria were asked to go to a boutique shop in Ormoc for our gowns. It's surprising how Jaime's family managed to arrange everything in just a short period of time. Mayor Rose and her family also came in Biliran days ago when she heard about the wedding. I then looked at Ormoc with awe. India and Luke went here several times already. It's indeed a beautiful city.

As we went in, there were Filipino style gowns for all of us.

"Filipiniana. That's how we call the national outfit for girls here in the Philippines. We're gonna wear that for mom's wedding. They both love vintage."

I smiled. I was part of the wedding. Which means I have a Filipino outfit, which excites me. Problem is, I don't know who I am in terms of the entourage. But I set the thought aside and decided to talk to Mayor Rose.

"Mayor Rose, why Ablen?"

"What?"

"Why did your mother bear her maiden name instead of you know, de Dios?"

"Oh. Well, dad may be a powerful mayor in Baguio. But he is not as loving as Jaime. He...um...cheated on mom."

"I'm sorry."

"No need to say sorry dear. At least they're annulled now. And mom, didn't get married after that. Because she has to raise me alone until Jaime."

I smiled, "Are you alright with Jaime?"

"Well, they fell in love and still have that love after many years. I don't wanna deprive mom anything. I want her to be happy. It's about time she becomes selfish. She deserves it."

I smiled and Carmen called my name, asking me to come with her and fit the Filipino gown for me. I was shocked when I saw the color, a combination of cream and white with pearl ornaments in it.

"Uh what?"

"Everything okay apo?"

"I think it's the wrong color lola."

"What do you mean?" Carmen asked.

"Others have pastel brown Filipino gowns with flower patterns. And mine is cream and white with pearl ornaments. I saw Maria's gown and it's similar to mine. I'm not getting married."

"Oh." Carmen said, laughing along with Maria, "Sorry we forgot to tell you Freya."

"Tell me what?"

"The wedding theme Nanay Maria and dad wants is Vintage with Reminisce."

"Okay."

"We wanted to have a young bride and young groom to represent Nanay Maria and dad when they were younger."

"Like young versions?"

"Yeah."

"And I'm the young bride?"

"Yes apo. You remind me a lot about myself when I was young."

"Oh."

"Ahh my apo." Maria said, swooning, "I can't wait to see you walk down the aisle like a bride while Harry is waiting for you at the altar as the young groom."

"Wait what?" I asked in pure shock. HARRY FUCKING STYLES IS THE FUCKING YOUNG GROOM?

"Jaime can't help it. He even wished to go back in time and look like Harry at least once."

"Oh God." I mumbled softly. THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! I CAN'T MELT AT THE CHURCH!!! IT'S EMBARRASSING.

"Don't worry. You won't melt at the church." Carmen said, smiling at me.

"What?"

"You said 'this can't be happening. I can't melt at the church. It's embarrassing.'" She said, mimicking my tone of voice.

I then covered my mouth. Shit. I didn't realize that I said it out loud.

Carmen then laughed, "Looks like you're winning Nanay. I mean, Freya's got a crush now."

"It still needs Harry though."

"I have high hopes for Harry."

I groaned, "Guys." They then laughed.

"Do you know any hairstyle and make-up for the young bride?" Carmen asked, turning to the organizer after I fit the gown.

"Oh yes." She said in awe.

"Off you go little bride." They all smiled and I smiled back, rolling my eyes and left the dressing room.
