⭒ First Steps

Pain

He knew you would walk in time, it was just patience that he needed with you. You were approaching the age of beginning to walk, and Pain knew when you were ready, you would finally push yourself up on your little legs. It seemed the time you finally decided to walk was during a meeting your father was holding between Konan, Tobi and Sasori. You were a very good baby, so at times, he would allow you to roam around in the backroom during a meeting. The most you'd do, at times, would just be crawling to his feet, which would then earn you a small head pat.

The meeting was going smoothly; the four were discussing a recent successful mission, and what would come next. Pain was laying out a basic game plan when suddenly Tobi interrupted, squealing, "Oh! y/n-chan's walking, y/n-chan's walking!" Pain looked behind him, and indeed you were on your feet making hasty steps towards your father. A bright smile on your face nonetheless. Pain, as patient as ever, and as stone faced as ever, though internally he was ecstatic, waiting for you to make it to his legs before he'd carefully lift you onto his lap. "Well done, sweet child."

Konan

Konan had no qualms in waiting for you to walk on your own. She had read the books on parenting, that she could find; she understood that for every baby it was different. She saw you as a special baby, so it was no surprise to her that at 9 months you were already having your first steps.

She had left you in her room, asleep in your crib, but then she heard a crash, and everything she was doing was dropped as she rushed towards the room. She expected the worse, like you dead, but was pleasantly surprised to actually see merely the side of the crib had broke and you were standing beside it. "Mama!" you squealed, and practically ran towards her. Konan quickly collected you in her arms, a smile on her face as she kissed your cheek. "My angel, you walked! I'm so proud of you, but please," she starts, looking back at the crib, "let's not damage your bed."

Tobi

"Come on, y/n-chan, walk, walk!" Once again, Deidara found himself having to step in when Tobi was being a little too exuberant with you. Tobi was desperate for you to start walking but his methods were a little unorthodox. He'd attempt to stand you on your little legs, but in truth, he'd hardly steady you and every time you'd just fall back on your bottom, and cry, he'd only just fling you back up on your feet. "You can't force her to walk, you have to let her learn it on her own, hm!"

"But I want her to walk now, senpai," Tobi whined, although he ultimately gave up and let you sit back down. Pouting, Tobi plopped himself across the room, criss cross applesauce with his arms crossed over his chest. Your crying slowly stopped as your gaze fell on your father across the room; you wanted your dad. The both of you sniffling to yourselves, you began to crawl towards your dad, quietly calling out to him. Noticing you coming towards him, Tobi smiled behind his mask, forgetting he was upset and opened his arms for you. That smile behind the mask slipped into a gape when suddenly you pushed yourself up on your legs. You rushed yourself towards him, your little legs pushing you towards him until finally you were in arms reach and Tobi grabbed you, pulling you against his chest. "You did it, y/n-chan, oh, daddy is so, so proud!"

Uchiha Itachi

Itachi walked with your feet on his. His movements were slow and labored to match yours and make sure, though he was the one moving you, you were in control. He held your hands and grinned down at you as you giggled, enjoying the new freedom of movement you had. After doing this for awhile, Itachi slowly took you off his feet, and began to guide you as you kept your feet on the solid ground. Slowly, he began to let go of your hands and you were walking on your own. You seemed almost amazed with what you were doing too. You looked at your father and ran towards him, almost tripping on your feet. But Itachi caught you, carefully pulling you towards him into a hug. "Very good, my love."
