♥ Happy Valentines Day! - Hidan, Character Special

Happy Valentines Day!!! Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday. I didn't have time to write a full chapter, so because Hidan is my favorite member of the Akatsuki ( and I don't think I've particularly made it... not obvious, lol), I decided to do a small, little character special for him to commemorate Valentine's day.

Valentine's day meant nothing to the members of the Akatsuki, certainly not Hidan - if anything, he saw it as just an excuse to get laid; lust may be against his religion, but hey, everyone can sin once and awhile right? But wholeheartedly, no one cared about Valentines Day, and no one ever remembered the day existed.

That was until you came along. Hidan's young, little jashinest, so full of life and love in your heart; Valentine's Day was special to you, though not in its traditional sense. You love the holiday and love to enjoy it full heartedly. And you wanted others to enjoy it alongside you; that's why you were putting such extra care and effort into your Valentine's Day card for your father.

You're somewhat blind to Hidan's bad and crude behavior; it doesn't occur to you he may just frankly laugh or scoff at it. But surely, Hidan wouldn't laugh at his own daughters' efforts in making him something special. Right?

You ran down the halls clutching the heart shaped card to your chest, looking for your father in every room you had permission to enter. "What are you doing, child?" A deep voice from above spoke. Looking up, you saw Kakuzu looking down at you, glaring, his sharp eyes piercing through you. Kakuzu at times scares you, but you were too excited to care at the moment or be too bothered.

"Where's daddy?"

Scratching his head and letting out a gruff sigh, he places his hand on your back and guides you the other way. "I'll bring you to him." It seemed Hidan had just finished up a ritual, as he entered the base with dried up blood in his hair and face. It didn't seem to faze you, as this was a regular occurrence. And in attempts to savor some of your innocence, members had begun to tell you it was only tomato sauce that he came home covered in.

"Daddy!" You squealed, running over to him to barrel him in a hug. Hidan smirks, the hand not holding onto his scythe coming up to cup the back of your head as he lightly returns the hug. "Miss me, runt?" You nodded your head vigorously before holding up the card to him.

He quirked a brow, confused at what you were trying to give him, but he took it nonetheless. "Happy Valentine's Day, daddy!"

"What?"

"Today's Valentine's Day," you remind him, eagerly waiting for him to open the card. You bounced up and down on your toes, eye's wide, bright, shimmering from your excitement, and a large small stretched across your face as you patiently waited. Hidan sighs as he inspects the card, scratching his head. He wasn't sure why you were giving this to him but he wasn't complaining. The card was coloured pink; he inwardly cringed at the bright colour but didn't say a thing - yet. The words 'Happy Valentines Day Daddy' were spelt across the card in big red colours. Most of the words were spelt wrong, but truth be told, Hidan doesn't really know how to spell, let alone read well himself, so he couldn't tell. He opened the card and on one side was a drawing of you and him; him, of course much bigger than you, wearing his akatsuki cloak and his scythe hanging on his back. On the other side of the card you had written, 'I love you.'

He bit his lip harshly to stop himself from smiling, giddily. Instead he chuckled and patt you on the head, allowing you to fall back against him for a hug. "Do you like it?"

"Eh, It's ok." He loves it. He truly does. Love is a foreign emotion to him, and a word that barely reaches the tip of his tongue, and yet, receiving this card pokes at his heart painfully. He'd never received a gift from anyone before. He didn't know how to truly express to you how much it meant to him to have been gifted this card; even for such a trivial holiday like Valentine's Day.

Happy with his reaction you took his hand and asked if he'd watch a movie with you. Any other day, he might have told you no, rather spend the rest of his day praying or sleeping, but he thought after what you did it wouldn't kill him to watch one movie with you. So he agreed, lifting you up in his arms and resting you against his hip as he carried you to the couch to watch whatever you wanted.
