Pain

"Monsters?" Pain is a little bit confused, at first. He had been working when you came running into his office crying. He wanted to scold you for interrupting his work, but your tearful face prevented him from doing so. He silently listened to you try to explain through hiccups about the monster that were lurking under your bed. It all seemed very trivial and childish, but then again, you were a child, and he understands that for a child's mind, monsters are very terrifying. And monsters lurking under the bed was a legitimate fear.

He guided you back to your room, one of his forms following along with you. He has it check under the bed for monsters, and when there are clearly none, tells you to go back to bed. "Can you stay daddy?"

"No... but he will watch over you," Pain says, looking over at one of his forms who is already settling himself into a chair at the end of the room. He carefully helps you back into bed, tucking you under the covers and fluffing your pillow behind your head. "No monsters will ever harm you. I promise."

Konan

Anything of her dream was suddenly forgotten by the shoving at her shoulder during the night. Slowly turning over, she saw you shaking by her bed, clutching a small animal to your chest and small, delicate tears cascading down your cheeks. Still wakening, Konan slowly reaches out to touch your cheek, her thumb scooping up a tear from under your eye. "What is the matter, my angel?"

"There's a monster under my bed. I want to stay with you." Too tired to properly comprehend what you are telling her, she nods her head, moving to the other side of her bed so you can get in. Immediately, you are clinging onto her, holding onto her warmth.

She chuckles lightly, petting your hair and stroking your back. "Don't worry, dear. I won't let anything hurt you."

Tobi

"Y/n-chan, you need to go to bed," Tobi whines, for the fifth time tonight pushing you back under your covers. But you're very persistent, and insistent of the monsters that lurk under your bed, waiting to attack. Clutching to his arm, everytime he tries to leave he only ends up dragging you with him. "Y/n-chan, I'm trying to be a parent here," he says, again, having to pry you off him.

"No, you can't leave, the monsters under the bed will get me!" you cry, shaking your head furiously along with his arms rapid shakes to free himself from your clutch.

Tobi pouts behind his masks, but deems there is only one thing he can do. And that is to protect you from the monsters, of course. "Then I'll sleep under your bed tonight so no monsters come." That seems to make you feel better, and though sleeping under a bed on the floor is a little uncomfortable, Tobi is willing to do it if it makes you feel safe. Not only that, Tobi can practically sleep anywhere at this point.

Uchiha Itachi

Slowly kneeling down to your level, Itachi pushed the small strands of hair that fell loosely over your face behind your ears, fully presenting your clouded eyes and red nose from crying. With a soft smile, he cups your cheek and tells you, "I've gotten rid of all the monsters."

"Are you sure, daddy?" He nods, humming slightly in response as he takes your hand and guides you back to your bed. He had been up with Kisame making light conversation on tomorrows plans for an upcoming mission when you approached him tearfully about monsters under your bed. Both men couldn't help but chuckle, though Itachi was much better at suppressing a smile.

He was quite certain this was all due to him leaving tomorrow. You were never happy about him going away, always trying to find ways to keep him, or just some sort of inconvenience to delay him. He was sure this 'monster under the bed' charade had something to do with it. Nonetheless, he plays along, reassuring you there are no monsters under the bed to comfort you and better your sleep.
