Shae's POV

We picked up on the guys trail, and by how strong it was I knew that we weren’t far behind them. Before long I started to pick up on the loud thuds their paws made as they collided with the ground, and thankfully the wind was on our side and coming towards us so they couldn’t smell us.

Their pace started to slow as we came closer to the creak that I could now smell.  ‘Bryn I think they are gonna stop for a drink… that’s when we will make our move’

‘Got it, I’ll follow your lead.’  

As we neared; we both turned stealth, like the ninjas we were. We snuck up behind them and when I was sure that we were still undetected we made our move.

I leaped out from behind the tree what was hiding me, leaping onto Rhett’s back only to get bucked of and he instantly went on the defense hunched down and growling ready to attack.

All the while Brynn was in the same predicament with Darren.

‘Whoa! Babe calm down it’s just us!’ I said through pack link when I noticed that he wasn’t backing down.

‘What the hell are you girls thinking?! We could have killed you.’

‘Dude Darren clam yourself! We were just training. You should be prepared for anything! We could have been rogues and could have killed you.’  Brynn spoke up first.

‘Princess are you okay?’ Rhett came over to me and nudged into my side as if to comfort me after my failed attempt at my sneak attack.

‘Yea I'm fine…’  Just a bruised ego, that’s all. But now’s the time to put what Brynn said to good use and own my shit. ‘But obviously my sneak attacks need quite a bit of work!’  I tried to brush it off like it was no big deal.

He just shook his head. ‘I throw you to the ground and all you worry about is how badly executed you’re sneak attack was.’

‘Yea, well were gonna go, I think I’ve had enough humiliation for one day.’

‘awe come on Shae, why don’t you girls stick around unless you don’t think you can hang, we still have another five miles to go. I'm sure we can find a few more things to laugh at you for.’

‘Darren, we can defiantly hang. You’re gonna be the ones having a hard time keeping up.’ I couldn’t help myself, I like to prove people wrong.
