Chapter 1

My name is Naib Subedar, and I'm a private detective for the Nightingale Detectives office.
My life was fine till I met someone, someone who made made my life turn for the worst.

Now I have no clue where i am, or why I'm here. I'm stuck in solitude with a very tall thing bringing me food and water. Then it feeds on me. I didn't believe in the monsters my father told me in fairy tales but I kinda wished I did.

The windows on the room are sealed off with iron bars same with the door. The room I'm trapped in is quite big. But all the exits and possibilities of hiding are sealed....

A few months before .....

???:"NAIB WAKE UP, YOU CANT SLEEP ON THE JOB. THATS MY JOB!!"

Naib quickly jolted awake as he glared at the person who woke him up.

Naib:"Well good morning to you too, Eli"

Eli:"yeah yeah"

Naib stretched as he stood up only to sit back down,and put his head back on the desk. Trying to fall back asleep.
Eli:"WAKE UP"
Eli said as he smacked Naibs head with a folder making Naib jolt up and rub his head.

Naib:" WHY.....there's nothing to do though!" Naib said as he yawned.

Eli:"We have the missing bodies on the morgue report, the missing people report, and the mystery murderer report!" Eli said as he Placed all the reports on the table.

Naib stared at them.
Naib:" Oh I forgot about those"

Eli just stared at his with a blunt look.
Eli:"how though, it's all over the office !" Eli said as he opened the blinds to see computers with the missing bodies reports.

Naib:" You know I dont pay attention!" Naib said as he crossed his arms.

Eli:"Well no DUH!" Eli said then took a deep breath.
Eli:"I'm going to sign you up for all those cases, but before you complain. Me and Aesop are gonna be helping out with this too"

Naib:" But Aesop doesn't have a Criminal Justice degree or a criminology degree. Plus he's  an Embalmer." Naib said as he was getting confused.

Eli:"he may not have those degrees but he does have a psychology, human service,and a mortuary science degree. His knowledge of dead bodies will help us, plus he asked if he could help with the case" Eli said as he opened up the case folders.

Naib:" how does he have so many degrees, isn't he 27??" Naib said in disbelief.

Eli:"he is 27, but Aesop is a hard worker and occasionally over works himself.  Now back to the case, Theres been 7 missing people reports, 15 missing bodies from the morgue report, and the 10 dead people reports.

They seem to all be connected to each other, once a person goes missing the get found, but they are always dead when found, then they disappear from the morgue. And it goes another way but it still connects, theres a dead body, it goes in the morgue, then it vanished.  It's all connected!" Eli said as he random pulled out a pin bored with pictures, tying a red string around them.

Naib started at him as if Eli was insane but he quickly hopped on Elis train of thought.
Naib:" it's scary how it is connected, but what you said is true they are all pretty connected. But I'm not concerned about this case, I have other things to worry about " Maib said as he spun his chair around, looking out the window that was behind him.

Eli:"At least try to help, me and Aesop are gonna need all the help we can get. So please reconsider" Eli said as he grabbed the folders and the board and left.

'Its scary how Elis brain and thought process is fast. But I have other things to do, I'll help them when I think that case is more important ' Naib thought as he stared into the night sky.
